White Zed heading towards Gloucester on the Tewksbury Road (A38) on Sunday about 9:50 am. I saw you at the last second as I was trying to open a bottle of Tango for my little girl. You flashed me. I was in my White Zed. Unless there is a big mirror on the road and it was my reflection???

My laziness has got me in a bit of a predicament..well, that and watching the World Cup instead of doing the job myself :( I purchased an autobox cooler rad mod kit from the Z Centre and took it along to my local garage with all the instructions blah blah.Everything seemed ok and indeed Ive run the car for a couple of weeks now. Today I decided to have a peek at the rad whilst messin under the bonnet and it seems that the guy at the garage has removed the old engine oil cooler rad completely and has run the engine oil through the old autobox cooler in the main radiator core  .Question? how will this affect the car, will the engine oil cool sufficiently and if …

The cylinder head gasket on my original engine blew and the garage I took it to said that damage was such that a replacement engine would be cheaper. I ordered a second hand one which came with everything fitted ,turbos etc and was ,imported I beleive from Japan. To cut a long story short the garage had clearly bitten off more than they could chew because it was several months and many phone calls before I finally managed to get the car back from them. When I eventually picked it up they told me that it was smokey but that was just because the engine had been refurbed to some extent by the providers and after a few miles were under its belt the smoking would stop. …

Hi - under the bonnet at the back of the engine behind the balance bar and tucked dowm towards the bulkhead are three plug/socket connectors - two of which are the same and therefore interchangable - as in - could be connected to each other the wrong way - anybody know what they are and how to tell if correctly connected. Disconnecting either does not seem to make any difference to the engine on tickover!! Bit vague I know but... AndyGP :)

So I've finally got my car into a garage after about 2 months  but the bad news is i need a power steering eye pipe (so they tell me). Apparently it's the pipe that goes from the pas pump to the steering rack. Luckily I've been informed that someone I know is breaking a z but need to know if this pipe is the same on all models or if not then which fits what?? Otherwise it's an up to 3 week wait for delivery

I know there's the issue of removing the cats causing the turbos to fail prematurely, but would it be a possible solution to remove the cats and replace them with silencers instead, to try and maintain a small amount of backpressure to help protect the turbo seals whilst still gaining some of the advantages of a less restrictive exhaust system.

The gear lever has gone all floppy (must be the weather). So what am I looking for to fix it. Is it a fault with the gear lever mechanism or is it a fault in the gear selector rod/gearbox? Anyone got an answer before I pull it all apart? as always, thanks in advance. Cheerz Jack
