can anyone give a rough idea of what the rattle may be from my z32 tt cylinder head (the right hand one) maybe, its quiet at idle but as soon as the revs are increased it starts to rattle, looks as tho further inspection will definitly be in order, so just in case could anyone also give the correct sequence for undoing the cylinder head bolts, many thanks in advance

You'll be wanting to take the engine out then to get the heads off then if it's a TT.

Could be broken valve spring, could be a sticky valve, could be a sticky lifter.

Try an oil change first to see if it sorts the problem out. Cheapest option before dropping the engine.

many thanks for your help, what would be the chances of a shot camshaft, its an 89 model jap import

Well, in my little experience, I've never heard of one with a broken cam shaft.

Is yours just tapping?

no its a definite rattle

Take the rocker covers off and have a look if you think it's something terminal. Involves remove the plenum of course.
