I've removed the standard spoiler from the boot and i now have to slam it to get it closed has this got anything to do with the fact that it s full of holes and there is no perspex panel on it cos it feels like back pressure.

I've checked all the wires/bulbs at the back and they all seem fine. The fuse only blows when the brake is pressed but doesn't do it all the time. It will work one/two days without a problem and then blow, and on very bad days fuse after fuse, instantaneously. Any ideas what I should check for before I start stripping the whole interior out?

hi all, im having some slight idling problems with my car. when i first start it up...it revs to about 1100/1200rpm for a few mins until it warms up and slows down but only to around 800-900rpm but my problem is that it doesent sit there...it revs up then slows down then revs up an slows down an just keeps doing that. ive plugged my conzult in, and as soon as i click on the idle speed button, it slows right down and stalls. it does exactly the same when i do any of the diagnostic tests too. anyone got any suggestions? should i try resetting the ecu? cheers, sean.

  13. Hoping for advice more than paint lol! Im just about to respray my center section that goes around the radio and am not sure what to use. I want a finish as close to OEM as possible, so was thinking about maybe Plastikote as I have used on that on other bits before and it gives a nice finish and generally doesnt need primer. After advice really from people that have resprayed (even from the guys that have sprayed silver etc.) Thanks

What "um-derrrrrrrr!" moments have you had with your Z, or any other car? Tell your story. I have 2, one Z related one not. After the first rebuild, we (my dad and I) start up the engine for the first time, and it started in 1 second. Yay! We where so proud, and we left it ticking over. After about 3 mins, it was stuggling, and it got worse and worse until it died. Thinking it had melted, we checked everything for over a hour but we didnt know why it was not not even turning over. We asked a mechanic neighbour to come and help and we told him what happened. "Right" he thought for 10 seconds. "Have you connected the alternator?" It was then the pen…

From what I can gather, there's 12 or so 10mm bolts in the boot holding the bumper skin to the carrier bar. As I've not had all the trim out, where do the bolts mount to on the corner peices. Are they on the inner wing inside the tailgate or up in the exterior of the wheel arch?

Just done 110miles to work and went through £20 worth of V-Power @ 97.9p a litre, during traffic jams I put the autobox into N and noticed my revs are at 1300 - 1400rpm. I remember reading somewhere on here that it should be about 750rpm - is this right? Also at the same time as noticing the revs being high I was shocked to see my Oil Pressure guage reading almost zero! again I remember reading somewhere that other people reported the same reading and that it might just be the pressure guage itself but mine does read around 60psi when started from cold but drops away to the first marking on the guage when reaching normal operating temperature. Would any of …

Hi folks. Is anyone willing to to donate their 300zx to a film production for a month? Obviously not to keep for a month, just use. We will need to add a bodykit to the car and possibly wheels. (If you already have R33 GTR wheels that's a bonus) The bodykit and anything else added you will be able to keep after filming. You must also be prepared to let precision drivers and actors drive the car. (Mostly in closed off roads in Brighton) If you're interested please post up. It will end up looking as close to my old one as we can get it...... Thanks Dan
