Guest snowygt Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 I've removed the standard spoiler from the boot and i now have to slam it to get it closed has this got anything to do with the fact that it s full of holes and there is no perspex panel on it cos it feels like back pressure. Quote
Graham S Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Don't forget the gas struts were designed to lift the weight of the old rubber spoiler too. Now that's gone so it will need more of a push I 'spose. Have you felt the weight of the spoiler? Quote
edk83 Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 i have to slam mine too after removing the spoiler and weight Quote
Guest snowygt Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 yeah the spoiler is pretty haevy i'll just have to live with it i suppose cheers lads. Quote
fraser_gtti Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 try adjusting the boot catch ;) takes about 5 mins with a 10mm spanner might be that its lighter now and it takes more effort to close Quote
DaFox Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 ^^^^ as above. I have a lightweight spoiler and had to slam it but after adjusting the catch up a touch it shuts with a gentle tap :) Quote
mr_red Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 if you leave one of your doors open when you close the boot you will find it will close with a gentle click, then shut your door...... Quote
