i am replacing the front (and only) speakers in my '95 convertable i have established without a doubt that hidden somewhere in the car between the head unit and the speakers there is an amplifier (proved by impedance of speaker and removing power that feeds speakers (green and white)) the problem is i can't find it, it's sh1t and i want to bypass it. i was expecting to find the standard bose speaker and an amp in a plastic box in the door, but no this is whats in the door: (darn , i must learn how to post photos properly ) so no amp there, nothing i can see behind the head unit either so i thought i would loo…

I backed the car off the drive this morning and just as I was half way across the road it just cut out. There was no response from turning the key. Meanwhile the traffic is backing up behind me and I’m stuck in the middle of the road!. The dash lights were coming on as normal but it was just dead. In the end I took the key right out of the ignition and tried again. It fired up as normal and away I went. It’s running fine now and there doesn’t seem to be any other problems. I’ve never had so much as a misfire before now!. Any ideas anyone?/. Cheers.

well i did a few miles over the bank holiday and used the time to calculate some motorway fuel consumption. please correct me if i have messed this up but here goes right i did 315 miles total inc work travelling £50 of fuel @ 96p per litre so i get that as 27.54 mpg on average. the fuel lasted all weekend and took me to and from work for the rest of the week 6 mile each way. :duffer: not bad for an old 3.0LITRE fuel eater is it lol.

hi guys! i have just fitted eibach springs and kyb shocks to my 2+2! the trouble is a have removed air-con, egr etc etc which makes front end lighter, and have big stereo boot build which makes rear end heavier! if i look at tyre to wheel arch clearance the front end sits 1 to 2 cm's highter than rear! is there anything that can be done about this????? regards steven

Right bought these off the vinzmeister yesterday at the midlands meet. You get 4 x LED bulb replacements A replacement relay to ensure the bulbs blink in the right time And these instructions Now will i be able to do a straight swap with the relay already in there or will i have to pull a plug from the back/rewire the relay pod etc?

Whilst out the other day, the revs on my car increased with no apparent increase in speed. The clutch (full works) was replaced less than 15,000 miles ago so can't see how it has gone already. Tried the classic test of putting her on a slight incline and flooring it in fourth but everything seems OK. Just seems to do it now and again. Clutch pedal is right at the top so would indicate that she is on the way but maybe it just needs adjusting. Any ideas? Could it be anthing else?

It started a week or two after Jeff (zedworld) replaced the HICAS arms, when I took the wheel off to see if I could track it down the nut on the end was loose, checked the other side and that was the same. Could that have caused damage to any other components? Thank you in advance HICAS is eliminated And these are also installed Adjustable camber arms Adjustable traction bars Whiteline anti roll bar Buddy club adjustable coilovers

Just replaced my rear shocks but the originals had some electrical gizmos on top of the struts that look like air valves. Car is 94 UK TT but I can't see any switches that could possibly activate these. Replacement (non air valve) shocks appear to be fine and after fitting eibachs alround there is one hell of a difference in handling - especially as one of the shocks was leaking. Any ideas how these valves are operated?
