Hi there. I'm after the main wiring loom that connects everywhere on the engine. Mine was butchered by a make-believe mechanic, and all of the connectors/clips have been damaged. If you can supply one with connectors still intact and have the spring clips please let me know how much you would want for it. Many thanks, Colin. 1992 TT import 2+2

Blond moment here. I am thinking of getting some dielectric silicone grease. This is up to 400 deg F - and totally non-conductive. Does this mean if I was to clean electrical spade connections and put this grease on spade and connector then connect them up, the grease would act as an insulator and stop good contact?

I have read you can disconnect the brake assist vacuum line, plug up the MAF inlet and attach vac pipe to where the brake assist vac goes to, pressureise up a garden sprayer and use it to find boost leaks. Anyone know if you can damage seals as Im not sure what pressure them garden sprayers can build up to? Saves lots of compressor noise :)

hi guys, When starting up my car from cold, about 30-50% of the time, the car runs a bit lumpy for about 10 seconds, and there is a strong fuel smell from the exhaust at this time: is this a symptom of fuel pressure regulator/damper problems? could there be something else causing this and/or anything else I should be looking at? btw, I changed the fuel filter about 5000 miles ago...

Once again another problem to solve, I'll start from when I bought the car. When I went to look at the car before I bought it, it ran fine with no smoke at all and it sounded as sweet as a nut. After a short time the car started to cut out on boost so I gave the car a full 60k service, I noticed the spark plug (the one next to the battery) was pretty dirty compared to the others. To cut a long story short, the car cutting out at high boost was down to a loose turbo pipe (problem sorted). The car was running really well but I did notice smoke on start up coming from the left side exhaust (standing behind the car) but the real problem started when I was coming home one night…

I've been rebuilding my engine since the last 4 month and i took the road today with it. The oil temperature reach 110°C (230F) and i'm just breaking in the engine so i don't run full boost and i don't rev high :( The things that make me feel the oil don't flow through the oil cooler is that after 100miles driving today, i found that the 2 hoses that go to the top of the oil cooler were not tight but there were no leak. I'm reading a oil pressure from 2 (at idle) to 5 bar when i start to rev a little bit so how does the hose didn't jump out with 5 bar of pressure? Hope you understand my accent lol

Well this weekend couldnt wait any longer and decided to take my car on the highway for some high revs and check the max boost i can work on. I manage to hit only 16 PSI max boost (the wastegates springs needs replacement to hold more boost) but let me tell you that at 16 PSI the car is a killer. I started from 2nd gear (went up to 7K before blinking my eyes) changed to 3rd gear and before taking a breath i hit the rev limiter. I said damn....Its insane. You can really feel the G forces hitting you all over. I cannot imagine how it will feel at 2Bar that i am planning to use when i change the springs. The only problem at the moment is the MPG. I've been…

Right picked up the pod the other day, tried plugging it directly into the standard connectors on my series jspec and the display was garbled/no functionality. Does this mean there's a seperate control unit i need to run it on the loom somewhere? Or is there a change in wiring, etc Anyone know at all?

Now ive reconnected the wiring looms which were in my old tailgate but were not used however the brake light in the perspex panel is not illuminating? Anyone got any ideas?

just been to see a series 2 93 import zed... the seatbelts were not on the doors, it had the series 2 heater pod with the blower direction as apposed to the series 1 OAT, it had dual electric seats, so that was all good... my concerns are that... the brake calipers were the series 1 alluminium calipers with the heat dissapation fins and not the cast iron series 2 calipers that were on my uk spec. also, the ptu looked different to that of my series 2 uk, although i remember sum1 saying that my series 2 ptu looked different to their series 2 ptu. could sum1 be so kind as to put up a pic of what a series 1 and a series 2 ptu should look like? is there some …
