Another problem with the Chevy is the engine won't stop with the ignition turned off. It even keeps going with the battery earth terminal disconnected. I know it's obviously the alternator keeping it going but can't find out the cure. Anyone any ideas?

Do replacing the Turbo pipes for hard pipes increase performance in any way? or are they just for show?

Howdy, what is a good performance air filter for a 300ZX TT? My zed is chipped and has boost controller. Standard air filter is nightmare to refit so i might as well get a custom jobbie.

Well i kinda liked having the only Zed in my Village, full of Scooby's and the like, and mine the only example of our fantastic car.............. until today :shock: came back from work for my days off, and the garage across the road has a black SWB N/A for sale.... bugger! :cry: On a H plate, Up for £3000. has a tail gate skin on but apart from that a very standard car, oh well :cry: :cry: if any body from mile and miles awasy is interested then i can take a look, must stress though you have to live miles and miles away, so i can have my exclusivness back :tongue: Neil

If you have an auto car but can get hold of a manual engine and box plus ecu what else would be needed to do the swap. I have no clue but im guessing there will be some other parts that I would require, brackets? It looks like an attractive option and I may have found a manual box and engine to transplant.

my 300zx has illuminated badges that fit against the rear 1/4 windows that light up green and say 300zx, has anyone else seen these? are these rare?

Hello All, Seems like its one thing after the other at the minute, now I have a dreaded ticking sound coming from the engine upon start up, once the cars had a run and warmed right up it seems to clear. Obviously the ticking increases in rate with the revs of the engine. Is this an injector problem or something else. The gauge reading on the oil pressure reads about 4ish upon sart up but falls away after some driving time, But it is only the stock dash gauge and is well erratic sometimes it tells me i have nothing at all, especially after driving on motor way and then hitting a traffic jam it falls right off to almost zero!!!! I'm hoping its the gauge thats a t fault…

My UK speedo on my UK TT stopped working properly. I got replacement jap dials yesterday and removed the speedo only (not the boost gauge part) fitted a blue 20,000 ohm resistor to the R10 slot. The resistor that was in there before was a 33,000 ohm. Wacked on my UK dial face and fitted the modified Jap clock back into the UK cluster. I put a small cut in the dial face so I wouldn’t have to remove and damage the needle. The Jap dial face went upto 180kph, not sure what the UK shows but they all show the same don’t they? Anyway, the speedo isn’t showing the right speed, it seems to be about a factor of 2 out, i.e. showing 20mph when going 40mph, or it could be an offset…

Popped round to see the fella who did my bodywork for a touch up and low and behold there is a bunch of zeds parked at teh end out the unit workshops. Turns out ethere is a new firm moved in that is braking import cars, zeds etc. Thought I would scope the couple of zeds I parked next to, imagine my supprise when I noticed the 300zx,co.uk stickers on the cars. Obviously owned by members on here but being broken for parts. Shame, plus side is I am in walking distance. Anyone know hwo they are. Stock Road industrial units, Southend.

can someone please tell me how to find someones rides other than scrolling down the list. can you not have them orginised in alphabetical order or something. i thought you used to be able to access them from the name or somewhere on the left??? :confused:

Great, 3 days after passing the MOT my car died on me on a roundabout. I had steam coming from the engine and water/coolant in my footwell. All the water from the radiator had evapourated and is bone dry. Once got the car towed home I topped up the radiator and left it over night. There is no sign on of any water leaking from under the car but my mats are soaking. Anyone know what this is or how it could be fixed. Guessing a split pipe or something but been reading through other threads and thinking possible heater matrix? Also there is a slight hissing when the car tries to start up coming from under the steering rack/footwell and can see some coolan…

Are these correct?? what would the implications be if they are wrong. they were changed when i bought the car and seem to be burning correctly.

ive posted this up but realised i posted in wrong section...sorry ive just bought some leather seats for my zed but mine are tweed and manual the guy i bought the leather ones off is leaving the plugs on underneath the seats but as mine are manual what do i need to do to make the leccy ones work is it just a case of running a live and earth to them or is it more complicated many thanx in advance matty

hi, are the tt rear exhaust pipes/ silencers the same as a non turbo.have seen pipes for sale but only listed as tt. i need to check before purchase. thanks in advance.

How much does it cost for a blank one of these keys? I saw one on ebay with a buy it now of £100 ($200) is this how much these are worth or is it a mistake? :shock:
