Over the past couple of days there has been loads of threads with pics of your zed's in the sun just washed and polished...all of them looking great... ..STOP IT !... its not fair :cry: David (Very jealous right now...and feeling slightly depressed about it!)

How have other people removed these? I have a pair ready to go on but I'm a bit stumped in removing the old ones as it looks rather tight for a spanner. Do they just unscrew? Cheers

Tried to contact 300zxstyling by email to get a price on the wide arches with side skirts but had no reply. I couldnt see a phone number on the website. Would anyone know the price or better still have a phone number for them please. Ant

this is probably a stupid question but here goes anyway, Are all the engines in the zed the VG30 type??? Its just that on some websites that engine appears to have its own section

Strange title i know; but Marcus and me well mainly me as marcus has a good excuse cos he's in a wheel chair, are doing a trans fluid drain from Auto box, after we killed it at Oulton the other week end. :slap: We have read the thread on this but were wondering if any one could through some light on the stuff we have recovered from the sump filter, see attached pic. It is sort of fibre based and has very few metal particals in it. Has any one some thoughts on this. Hello, What do think about this then???? Went up to see my mechanic today to speak about ecu upgrades for my zed, What he came up with was this, to have what he described as a stand alone ecu, which will actively contol every aspect of the cars performance, this he said is laptop compatible and contol every thing from ignition re-tardation to boost, getting rid of all the unneccesary wiring which is renound in jap spec cars.This inturn will make any remapping a whole lot easier and more accurate for the engine, so as i upgrade peice by piece the ecu will always be ok to handle the extras. The zed is going back on the road tommorow but my indicators don't work all the other lights ie side,main,fog,and even the hazzard lights work i've checked all fuses and even had the stalk out but can't find anything please please please help if you can i;m desperate to drive her. thanks in advance.

Anyone with conzult in the west mids area that would mind checking out my car? I'm occasionally getting a miss-fire and juddering below 2.5krpm also not boosting properly, as soon as I hit 3krpm its fine and the car accelerates as normal. Need to get some new shocks for my zed as the stock ones are just about to throw there hand in i think, the koni ones are more expensive, does anyone have either of these on there zed?? if so how are they, ive been advised that the tein ones are rock solid and should steer clear

My Zed has an interesting light set up, just wondering if this is normal. I've had a look on the "jap vs US vs Europe" list and then had a long look at my lights, and mine doesnt match! When I turn the fog lamps on, (main switch, i.e the rotary one is of) the dash lights come on, and what i presumed were the tail lights along with the fog lamps (front lights in the bumper) When the rotary switch is turned to the first position (with the foglamps of) we get dash lights, tail lights and a very dim bulb in foglamp is illuminated In the second position as above with head lights. (smaller lense in the main "bonnet" light) Then full beam works fine from the indic…

Hello, Just landed myself a set of spl upper arms as the oem ones were rubbish with quite abit of play of play in them, I'm looking to fit these my self along with the new tension rods I have. I,m pretty good with the spanners, but would like to know how difficult it will be for me to fit the new arms?? I know i will need an alignment afterwards but its the initial fitting i'm interested in. If someone could shed some light on the matter i would be most greatful. Cheers Dutchy.

YIPPEE! after lots of grief have finally fixed the speedo,took a final clout to the head to settle the connections but so far so good,for anyone having a go at fixing theirs don`t be afraid.I ended up soldering a new loom in as bullet connectors gave a poor connection,running it up the gearbox over the prop & then drilling a hole in the mounting plate under the gear stick having first tie wrapped loom to the brake lines,upto the cluster and then soldered into replacement wire connectors.Big thanks to all that offered help,advice and their time.So good to be back on the road,can finally make a meet! :dance:

Ok, fairly soon the zed will go wide arch. I want to buy some rims and obviously want them to look right in the arches. Im hoping to get something with as deep a dish as possible. My question is what width of wheels should i be looking at in both 18 and 19" and on both the front and back if possible as i don't know whether to stick with the standard 8.5 width on the front or not Thanks Lee

Changed all my interior including centre console parts now only high beam works when i turn the lights on.. no side lights, tail lights or dash lights working. Checked the 2 fuses in nearside fuse box and they are ok, dont know about the footwell ones as i have not got a diagram of the fuse layout PLEASE HELP :confused: :rant:

well i finally got my hands on my amazing pentroof z :hyper: took the train upto newcastle and got collected by jurgen, who was driving a big single turbo supra as kirbz has nicked his wheels off of his rx7 :tongue: first thing i saw was a skyline and a couple of supras, once they were out of the way there she was .. and then he started her up :eek: the sound of those titanium exhausts was just something else. dropping into the hks carbon seats you soon realise the race feel is very well justified, i behaved myself quite well on the way home, apart from a little play with a new bmw m5 .. as i am now knackered after a long week she has been put to bed until tom…

14.358@95.14mph :dance: uk tt auto with induction kit and cat back stainless zorst, not bad methinks!! was at york raceway runnin against a volvo T5, he got a 14.966 and had (from what i noticed when he had his bonnet open talkin to somebody) hard boost pipes and i overheard him saying he had turned the boost up slightly, was havin a good day till i raced a stripped out corsa with 2.0 ecotec lump and wet nos kit,left me for dead once he hit 3rd, even a supra didnt get THAT far ahead of me!! :headvswal

The first good clean of the year. I got a load of Meguir's stuff - car shampoo and three stages - paint cleanser, polish and wax. It's bought the car up nice! Looks like one of my LED sidelight bulbs may have gone though - will have to investigate tomorrow.
