The windows at work all have motion sensors on them, they are really anoying and go off whenever you open the window or bang on it etc. I went to fetch the Z from the other secure car park as ours is now emptying out, parked it in a reserved spot just outside the office. My boss says they are reserved for higher managment only and I will be shot for parking there. :x: I said i will move if i cant set the alarms off with my exhaust, he says ok and I'll bet you a tenner. He now owes me a tenner! :dance:

Anyone tell me how the second piston comes out of the cylinder please, the diagrams don't show any clips and I can't see any but the thing wont come out, any tricks to doing it.

Car failed Irish MOT on emissions at both high and low idle The left hand side exhaust emissions were through the roof. The Right hand side emissions was within tolerance I was unlucky which Bank of exhausts he put the probe up Whats the issue here, O2 sensor? Does the standard ECU diagnostic show up O2 sensor fault. Are there 2 O2 sensors on the Z , one for each exhaust manifold? Ta Roy

I've been contemplating getting the r33/34 gtr brembo caliper setup. I spoke to someone who owns his own tuning/engine building company the other night and he told me not to bother. He said that the 300zx brakes are what the 200sx etc owners upgrade to and are not that bad. 4 pots already. He told me to try going for some better pads, discs and lines with a fluid change. My brakes at the moment feel like crap and i'm going to need to change them relatively soon. Almost feels like I have to stand on the brakes to get them to stop the car, which is one of the reasons i'm not driving my car as I should be at the moment. What are peoples opinions …

Got detoured through Willingham 'cause on an accident at about 4.30 this afternoon. Low and behold, saw a standard looking red Z on a private plate.

Well finally got my heater matrix done today. Moved onto the rear wheel wobble. Pass side is fine, solid. Drivers side, hold the wheel on both sides and it rocks. Looked underneathe and its the arm that goes into the rack, by the rubber gaitor. Also, held it top and bottom and that rocks too. Looks like the whole hub rocks. Def a problem and dont think it will pass a MOT. Any ideas? I didnt want to take the rear rack off, running low on money. If one sides good and the others bad, is it a chance somethings loose?

Does anyone know what the idler bearings should be torqued to :confused:

finally got a garage to look at my car with lumpy running and top end sounds, they checked it but couldnt say what it was without striping it down, so was going to arrange to get it looked at in detail. got back to work the next day and one of the lads came to look at it and after doing the compression test found out that one of the exhaust valves had gone, so now armed with what was wrong with the car it was time to get it sorted. drove home and just before pull on my drive BANG goes the valve into the piston HAHA cant believe it but now getting another second hand engine in and gearbox so cant wait to get the car back, just thought id let you all now about my luck haha …

I know this should go in the wanted section but this section gets read more often and I am desperate. Anyone know where I can get a clutch master cylinder, second hand is fine.

Finally decided on a design. Should be ready to pick up from Image in about 6 weeks (they've got a bit of a back log at the moment as all the race teams are clammering for alloys for the new season. And they've got even more motorsport business than usual with BBS going bust). They'll be 19" rims, 10" wide on the front and 12" wide on the rears. The main guy Harry is coming over to measure them up personally so he can set the centres right back to give them a very deep dish. Photos from the alloys on their display stand:

Anyone done it or got any Tech specs at all to what I need for the old zedster. I know the tank has to be double the volume of the piping to it excluding the baffles, but will I need to T both breathers into one line or will I have to have a dual feed tank.???? My PVC's are full of oil again and smoking for Britian everytime I've been sat on the motorway at about 3000 to 3500 rpm Then come off and drive round town it smokes like a t@wt. If I use A roads and nail it it don't smoke when i then go into town.

Could someone confirm if these are the correct OEM tyre sizes? Front: 225/50/16 Rear: 225/50/16 (J-spec) 245/45/16 (UK) Cheers. :)
