How can i run dual MAF and what's the benefit?

just been offered some coilovers and a nismo jacket for 40 squid are these worth buying jacket is brand new ( same as ones on ebay ) and the coilovers are new too but dont have the shocks the lad who is selling them says you fit them over your original shocks are they worth my hard earned cheers guys

Anyone changed them in the axle shafts, or halfshafts or whatever they're called? Can't remember ever reading anything about them here, and nothing came up in a search. Just wondered how much they were, and what sort of a job it is to change individual joints?

Hi peeps! My Air Flow Meter has decided to call it day so I am urgently requiring a new one if anyone on here has a working one spare I can buy off them! I have been a tit and got a few scratches on my front bumper whilst working on the car. These scratches are quite deep with no paint underneath. Can i get a pen thingy to cover them up in wine red. Really annoyed with myself as these could have been avoided, another lesson learned.

I am thinking of replacing the perspex strip at the back of my tailgate with a steel strip. What guage/thickness steel sheet does the zed body use? and is it the same thickness all over or are some panels thicker than others?

Hi everyone My car unfortunatly started playing yesterday. When I let off the power the car almost stalls then rises to about 1.5k and then drops again, It does this for a few seconds and then evens out so it's like the ecu is re-learning or something. The boost is also poor and quite lumpy but the car runs ok between boost and idle. There's also a really strong smell of petrol from the exhaust. I have checked the ecu and it is coming up all clear. I have also tested the o2 sensors here but they were flashing more like 6 or 7 times in 10 seconds instead of 5 times, could this mean anything?? Could the temp sensor affect idle and boost and could the egr…

Hello, My TT has let go, oil pressure has gone to zero and has been driven. The cylinders have been compression checked and they are all bad but one :mad: What is usually involved in a engine rebuild ? Are the bores usually honed or rebored ? Are new pistons fitted (obviously if the block is rebored). What about other bits. Help would be greatly appreciated :) Cheers, Lloyd

Just wondered if anyone had a brand new or already recon set of turbos they are selling. My tub seals have been goin for a while now. Its the last thing to do on my car and i thought i better crack on with it.

I know what I am doing as far as installing the unit goes apart from where is the best place to get the RPM feed from? ECU I presume, but which wire? Now comes the fun bit, setting it up? Anyone got any hints & tips? Ive read there is an AUTO setup mode. Is this worth trying? Any info would be great! Pete

Hey folks, after searching around previous threads i've come to the conclusion that it could be the PTU, however I just want to see what others think, as it's very possible I'm completely wrong :wack: Here's the story, about 3 weeks ago I gave the car a good clean polish etc and when I went to move it afterwards it wouldn't start, it was turning over but wouldn't fire up, seeing as it was late, I said f**k it! and went to bed, next day I came out and it started no prob but spat out some black water out of the right exhaust. Hi everyone, just joined up yesterday and impressed with the number of people on here and all the resources available. Anyway, I'm looking to get a TT manual Z and was wondering if there are any ex Supra TT owners on here and what they think of both cars in comparison. I had a UK supra for 3 1/2 years but ended up having to sell when my insurance renewal went up to £2.5k from £1.1k !!! Is the zed as easy to get more power out of and do they cope with an extra 50ish bhp ok? I've got lots more to ask but I'll keep the first post short...ish, and make good use of the search button.
