Looking for an idiot-proof guide to removing/adjusting the boot lock as the key won't turn in it most of the time. This guide isn't doing me much good without the pictures. Releases fine by lever.

I need some help, it's winter time and I love driving my 300ZX TT, but not without a working heather! It blows in low & high, but where is the warmth? ( I have it on maximum heat, but nothing :( ) Does anyone has an idea what it can be?

ok so been thinking about this for a while and in my head i seem to think it would work. but head and reality are 2 different things. we know with the aid of a bracket that 350Z discs can be fitted using the stock calliper on a 300, and that same set up can be fitted on a 240sx also with a 300 calliper. so reason stands the platform is the same and the bracket that allows more room for the disc should fit both 300zx and the 240's. reason im trying to work this out is because the brackets for the calliper are easy to get and with a set of 350z brembo discs would be a good option for a simple brake upgrade?? i have no real experience with 240's or 350's but my b…

Hi all, just wanted to ask you all if you know which bulbs to buy for the dash back lighting and switches etc.. Took a look inside one of my dash pods today and the plastic backing on the bulbs is completely flat? Most replacement bulbs I've found have had a tab sticking out the back to enable you to twist them in to place. Does anyone know of these are suitable for replacing the originals or do we need to find the exact matching bulbs? I am looking to replace all my.pod lights and switch lights with red backlighting and the dash ones with an ice white or maybe even blue? Not sure if red would be a good choice for dash but I'd like to try them and see how they loo…

Hi guys. Been around 10 years since I last owned a 300zx so slightly out of touch. Basically, I'm looking to sell my Skyline which I have had for 4 years now as I miss the comfort and smoothness of the z32. I'm just wondering what is a good price to pay for a good one nowadays. Id be looking for one like my first 300zx, series 2 (spec 2, facelift?... I can't remember the terminology now lol) but it had the seat belts in the correct place instead of the doors, illuminated kick plates and those really comfortable seats (alcantara maybe?... it's been so long). OK, so I am trying to get a rear bumper to one of the chaps on here, but it seems that every courier I try prohibits the transportation of car bumpers! Does any one know of a courier that DOES courier them that is cheap. I have tried parcels2go, Parcelforce, Paisley Freight, TNT and Citylink. :cursing:

Last winter I did a major overhaul of my suspension. Two of things I fitted to the rear were adjustable traction rods and I deleted the hicas. The kit I used effectively converts you to NA style rear arms. The issue I have, is the passenger traction rod has a habit of changing, pot holes etc cause it to change. I did consider locktiting it, however I've started to wonder, do I actually need this extra complication. The ball joint on the lower arm is a fixed position. So toe adjustment is changed by front AND rear arms. This is just over kill, no? A fixed length traction arm should in theory make life simpler. So should I, replace with fixed length stock ones o…

So I shelled out for some insurance today and reconnected the battery after what must be 2.5 years. Unbelievably it started first turn of the key which is amazing. Took it round the block for 10 mins and I didn't break down which was a good start But day 1 = problem 1 with these cars, it didn't feel like there was any boost under load, the turbo gauge sat just above 0 and didn't move, from memory (it's been a while) this used to swing about all over the place so apart from the obvious 'your turbo is shagged' is there something simple it could be? Myself and Dan (GIBSTER-TT) are attending Modfest 2016 at Orsett show ground A13 Essex on Saturday 20th Feb. We have a 4 car stand booked and would like to offer the remaining 2 spaces to any club members who would like to join us On the day. Shouldn't really mock but some pieces of 'work' just are quite staggering, i've actually had this on the shelf for a while. This i guess is to 'make red fog light' from the stock clear reverse bulb chamber :rolleyes:. A lot of effort if i can call it that to go to, when a red bulb can be bought :headvswal.

Hello All, New to the forum and need some advice from someone with far more knowledge than me. I am looking to move on my 300ZX as it has failed its MOT and its serious this time with lots of rot underneath. There are better examples out there so buyers go quiet and then disappear when they hear of the issues. This is not entirely a bad news story as a previous owner spent over £25,000 on custom parts and upgrades. I am guessing that these refurbed may have move value than the car as a whole. Does anyone know of a 300ZX breaker out there that I can contact? Thanks in advance.

As Pete has been giving me an ear bashing I thought I had better post a few pix of the rebuild. I did a fair bit of testing during 2015 and competed in quite a few events despite having a cracked and / or porous block. This left me low on power but I hope to have sorted out suspension and a few other issues that should help to make the car a lot faster. Looks like a lot to do still and there is however I hope to be back on the track and testing in time for the new season. I plan to do more in the way of sprinting and hill climbing but of course ten of the best remains the primary event for me. Probably do Brands Hatch in time attack in club pro. The main…
