Diante Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 I need some help, it's winter time and I love driving my 300ZX TT, but not without a working heather! It blows in low & high, but where is the warmth? ( I have it on maximum heat, but nothing :( ) Does anyone has an idea what it can be? Quote
Mondo Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Possibly your heater matrix has been bypassed due to a leak? Quote
ted Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 The thermostat could be stuck on open or closed or the heater core could be full of goop and needs flushing out Quote
spiff Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Most likely your thermostat is stuck open. Needs replacing Sent fra min GT-I9100 via Tapatalk Quote
arthur Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Push the auto button on & push the Econ button on & turn temp up to 40! Take it for a drive! That takes out the air con I believe! Worth a try? Art Quote
spiff Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Also, how is your engine temp? Can you get it too operating temperature? Needle in the middle Sent fra min GT-I9100 via Tapatalk Quote
Diante Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 Thanks for the quick reponses!! The engine temp is perfect, it's in the middle where it should be. The auto button & Econ button are not working, atleast the lights don't go on. ( I already turned on the temp up to 40, but no heat is coming ) Will check out the thermostat first to start with, hopelly that's what the problem is. Will let you know! Quote
lymon Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 First check if the heater has been bypassed...very simple: at the back of the engine you (should) see 2 hoses go into the bulkhead: bulkhead side: (rear of) engine side: if you don't see these 2 hoses and the 2 pipes at the back of the engine are looped together with a single piece of hose, then it has been bypassed. (Mocht je advies in het nederlands willen, moet je me even bellen/mailen..zie link in mijn profiel) Quote
Diante Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 Thanks for the explanation! Mine isn't bypassed, everything is connected like it should be. Quote
Osty1 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Check your radiator water level and inside pasanger foot well, high up the back (carpet/bulk head area) toward the centre console for any sign of water bud. Your matrix may have give up the ghost. Quote
Diante Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 Problem not solved yet, the radiator level is good and there is no water at the passengers side. :( Quote
spiff Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Then there's gotta be something wrong with your heater controls. You mentioned the auto and econ buttons didn't work. That might be the cause. Try and see if you can't get someone to swap the pod with you to see if that does it. If not then the issue might be something on the heater itself, like the valve that controls the hot water to the heater matrix or the control of said valve. Sent fra min C6903 via Tapatalk Quote
