Hi all, just wanted to ask you all if you know which bulbs to buy for the dash back lighting and switches etc.. Took a look inside one of my dash pods today and the plastic backing on the bulbs is completely flat?

Most replacement bulbs I've found have had a tab sticking out the back to enable you to twist them in to place. Does anyone know of these are suitable for replacing the originals or do we need to find the exact matching bulbs?

I am looking to replace all my.pod lights and switch lights with red backlighting and the dash ones with an ice white or maybe even blue? Not sure if red would be a good choice for dash but I'd like to try them and see how they look..

I'm sure Mr phutumsch will be the man for this one but I like to put it out there for all to throw their light upon the subject (pardon the pun)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Just out of interest groover, is it possible to replace the ones in the switches? ie mirror control, Windows etc? Haven't looked at the switches but I'm thinking they'll probably be sealed units? When I was looking at Andys (phutumsch) car at the JAE, all of his door switches are lit and he advised me that mine should be I too if I remember correctly.

I've never seen mine lit so can I replace the bulbs or am I looking to change the switches?

They are a different story lol, the pass light switch doesnt have a bulb or a feed, series 2 cars had an illuminated arrow on the drivers window switch, so both have to be modified and adapted to light.

Mirror switch again no light bulb or feed and has to be modified to light. Also the amber leds need to be desoldered from the board and replacing with 3mm leds if you want to replace them too.

Check out the led stuff in the tech section, im sure i did some write ups :thumbup1:
