Busy day today - at the cars bright and early 7.50 am (well, that's bright and early for me on a weekend) to swop audios and get ready for car alarm bloke. Say hallo, Miguel from Southern Car Security of Crawley. 7.51 am Miguel's big van blocks out sun. Coffee on, work starts. Postie arrives - hallo LeGrath's rear JBLs (ta David, very nice, just the job). Anyroadup, as I strip out my stereo/remote/bass tube etc, I become less than impressed with the work of some of the so-called professionals who have just bodged their way to a successful conclusion. Oh well, it's quite good fun having a poke around and going "tsk tsk" and then solving things. Work cracks on and…

I have just had t28 turbos fitted, i went to pick the car up and on idle it sounds and runs really really lumpy! like an american V8 muscle car! ive checked plugs and coils, looked for breathers etc, any other ideas? when its going along it goes quite well bet still not quite right and if i rev it gently on the spot its all burbbly, also used half a tank of petrol to 50 miles!!! smells like pure petrol out of the exhaust, its had other mods but fitted before turbos and no problems before, front mount, dump valves etc, nothing major. any help

.......where I can get some clear/reflective perspex-type material that would be suitable for replacing the coloured red and orange perspex on the rear lights and indicators. I want to remove as much colour as I can from my Zed and this is the next step. I will probably use led's to replace the bulbs as they seem to be plentiful and cheap on ebay. If anyone has carried out such a conversion already, any tips and information would be very welcome. Cheers - Dave

A big hello to you all I have been the proud owner of a uk spec tt auto for about 3 weeks now and i love it. The problem i have is the tyres that are on it at the moment are budget ones and are rubbish! So i am after some advice on what tyres suit the zed the best. I am running on the standard alloys if that makes any difference. Cheers Matt

Hi guys i know you have all been asked this before but im a girl who needs to ask questions lol. My zed has only done 26k and is a twin turbo. I was told to use a semi synthetic 5w30 oil when i do my oil change. Now is this right??? I dont want to put an oil in thats going to make the car tap but at the same time, i had a Cav Turbo and i used a 5w40 full synthetic oil in that coz it liked it and i never had any problems. What do i use for the best??? Thanks Sarah

Thought I might ask you guys before I take the car of the ground... I have recently got a click or snap noise when I turn the wheel to the left under driving. I can see some oil around the left dampner but not sure if it is from when I had the braked bleeded... Also just replaced the some parts.. adjustable tension rod and lower control arm.. So any idea to where I can start looking guys??

Hi, Just thought I'd pass this on. I bought an electric 2 ton scissor jack off ebay and to my supprise I'm quite impressed with it. It'll fit under a 12cm sill so is no problem for a standard Z. I still haven't got my Z back so can't say if it'll get under a lowered Z but I'm hoping it'll get under the front of the car. It rises to 35cm so had a side up in the air no probs (both wheels). Takes just over a minute to get from min to max and is remote control which is pretty cool :hyper: I've asked if they can get any more if anyone is intrested :) Vijay

Right first off, 1st: My speedo has given up the ghost, so has the milometer. I spoke to duffers about it and he advised me it was dry joints on the back of the speedo which will need re-soldering. Has anyone got a picture of what Im looking at fixing please? Is there anyway of checking that its not the speed sensor before taking the clocks out first? Steering gets heavy whilst driving also but sorts itself out after turning the ignition on. Fluids are all fine. 2nd: What colour wire is the horn behind the steering wheel? Ive taken of my steering wheel and cant find a spare wire anywhere and TBH dont really know what colour im looking for, I have to add a …
