Driving home from a friends house 5am then woke up in intensive care! Hows my luck i thought.... Happy after seeing the car i just had some minor head injurys and two broken legs mainly. No one else was hurt so it was all a happy ending. Happened near Beacon hill in Woodhouse, a known crossroads black spot im guessing as my memory was gone. Thanks Steve

as i only use my car at the weekend i have to listen to the lifters pump up for the first couple of seconds untill the oil pressure builds up every time i start her up and i need advice on the best way to put an inline switch on the ignition circut thus enabeling me to turn the motor over then flick the circut "live" after oil pressure has come up. It is only a problem because my car starts in about 0.5 of a second and goes instantly to fast idle which cant be good for a motor which has a 5-7 day oil drain down time, would the switch be better on the live side of the cas or the fuel pump?????

If this has been done before then please ignore. I wanted to create a towing point which could be used with my aftermarket front bumper. I welded the 2 original towing brackets together to increase their strength, and then made up an M12 threaded boss and welded that to the bottom of the brackets. The boss just pokes through below the undertray. The towbar thingy is just a bit of 50 x 6 flat ally bar with a tow rope attached. When I need a tow, (hopefully never) I'll just bolt the plate up and away we go. The bolt length is such that it bottoms out in the boss just before clamping the plate fully, so the plate can swing a bit during towing.

Just wondering.... My 300ZX is running a cat back exhaust... with an hks air filter + a greddy clutch..... Soo about 350 BHP? and say 280lb torque? How would this compare to a seat cupra turbo? Running 249bhp at 295lb torque? Considering drags........from say a standstill and from rolling starts? Any Ideas Appreciated ;)

This may be a shot in the dark but does anyone know of a way to help ease the pain of bangs and scrapes on my front (and back?) bumpers?? Not that I'm a bad or crazy driver but the roads around Reading are littered with these huge bumps.....apparently to make you go slower! Add to that a national inability to lay down a road 2007 years worth of experience and technological advancements after the birth of Christ without having to dig it up again a week later because some chumo lacked the foresight to stick all the extra pipeage (sewage/electrical) under it first!! This just adds to sunken roads with hidden potholes which tend to WRECK my undercarriage! Enough with the…

Saw one silver (briefly!!), West bound on A27 at Havant 10.30ish and then another, G reg, parked outside Pompey Uni - St. James St. central Pompey about noon. Quite a few zeds around this way, but it could have been the same car. Left '300zx calling card' oooh, err, Missus!! on the second - first one was travelling a bit fast for that, opposite direction to me as well  Both looked standards, second one was pretty heavily loaded up in back though, poor thing :slap:

As i was browsing the Web i find out that there are lots and lots of powerful software. Reason 3, Recycle, Battery, Reaktor, Cubase etc. I am thinking of buying the EMU 1616m laptop sound card so i can connect my KORG Triton as a MIDI keyboard and start putting down my inspiration. I am using Reason 3 for the last 3 days and i can say that its a very nice program with lots of nice effects. I am also looking into download Native Instruments Komplete 4 (25Gigabytes) and my download rate is 8kB/sec (damn) It will take me months to download it. Anyone has it? Or any other music software you recommend?

Instead of fitting dump valves to get the usual whoosh sound, can another device be fitted to enable a wastegate chatter noise instead??? My mate has a 200sx, he put an air filter on and that made his car sound as though it had a wastegate on as it chattered when he changed gear, but it was quiet. How can i achieve this noise on a Z (but louder)...??? Cheers Guys

hi bought a zed last year, it never had cruise control. i one day had to upgrade my pod on right hand side which now has the button for it. If i press i can hear a clicking over near the ecu. I dont have the actual cruise control module in the engine bay. BUT.... would this be all i need? This is the basic question below........ How do you use it? Do you need to control it from steering wheel or is there a stalk you need or do you need the standard steering wheel. (cant believe i'm asking this but i need to know)
