Got problem lads with a 90 non turbo fairlady z, its when the air con is on its seems to be drawing too much power or something similar as when you push the clutch in at junctions etc the revs drop down really low to cutting out point, but if you turn the aircon off all is ok. Your advice is most appreciated. Thanks biker1010. :confused:

How much is tax for a z32 tt?

on the little gauge under the clocks on a n/a what should the oil psi be as mine goes up to just over 70 on start up but drops to about 30 when its been driven or warmed up but climbs up when i accelerate and drops when i back off the reason im asking is my mechanic says it should be up at 60 on tickover any advise gratefully accepted matty

my mate was driving his zed last night noticed it was dry on oil he topped it up with some oil then drove 5 mile home he then brought some oil today but a different grade both suitable for turbo cars he then drove it and all of a sudden lost all pressure oil started leaking but only from the oil cooler area but dont thinks its the cooller then thick black and grey smoke from exhausts is this the turbos broken and a oil leak at the same time or is this a set of things that discribe something more please help P.S MY REBUILD IS ALMOST FINISHED YEAH :nana2:

i've got slight movement on the propshaft on the constant velocity joint on the back near the axle. Should i be really worried about this or do you think its got loads of time. Its only got a couple of mm play

Fitting my Apexi BOVS on Sat, any idea what the size the bungs are for the re circ pipe?? Its the only pipe i haven't got and need to get them before i start (obviously) Thanks.

Guys, If any of you were at silverstone you will have seen my engine go spectacularly up in smoke during the final track session which was a real pisser as it was going real well. Anyway i have now got a replacement engine and gearbox with 33,000miles on them :D and have decided to start my quest for 500bhp+ and a manwell conversion. :hyper: I am in the process of sourcing the Z1 motorsport GT600 (T28 based) turbo kit and plan to do Z1 uprated throttle bodies, fuel rail injectors and chip the ECU accordingly. I already have stillen side mount intercoolers. My question is has anyone gone this route and if so what lessons learned can you share. D…

I have sold my Z after 2 years of smile while clocking up the miles. Now has come the time for me to say good bye. I have met some very nice guys on here to name a few Paul Stevens, Cybernet, Takemetothepub, Jock, Bassologist, and Wozzer. what are all the lil bits people remove/bypass while refitting a engine? i mean things like egr removal and the pcv re-route thingy. Also are there guides for them? Thanks

Hi peebs. Now I have a set of wheels for my car but im not sure if they are going to fit. The rears have 285 with tyres which i think is just over 11 inches. I know people have these so that by itself would not be a problem. now here is the main problem... they are 100pcd. I have with alot of searching found and adaptor that will convert my 114.3 hub to 110pcd wheels, but its 1 inch thick. Now added to the fact these wheels are wide, does anybody think they will fit? hi i have a 92 zx tt j spec and when i drive it vry close or too the rev limiter it missfires and goes down a cylinder or too for a few sec,s and loss,s a lot of power till it clears out has this happend to any one be for ? ? ?

Driving my newly revived zed home from the west to Bath this evening i was struck by how much i still have to do to get it to feel right. I drive a new Mazda 3 everyday and up to that my zed feels like driving a flat bed coal lorry! However as the sun broke thru the gloom and I flashed past Blagdon lake with that exhaust note and everything rattling I could forgive it everything, I'm deeply smitten! oh god my wallet hurts! Rob ;) ;)

My drivers seat wont recline the back? switch dont work! other switch works fine! Fuse? wires :confused:

I am not sure if I have a wharped disk or a suspension problem. When I brake at low speed I get a vibration through the steering wheel and the car pulls to the left. If I brake hard at higher speeds the vibration is much worse and the car dosen't seem to want to stop. I have a ful set of R33 brembo callipers, slotted and dimpled dosks and yellow stuff pads. I have adjustable upper arms and tein street coilovers. When we fitted the teins the upper arms seemed to have some play in them. Do I need to change the disks and pads or is it likely to be a suspension problem? Darrell

Who done yours and how much did it cost? Zecentre the cheapest place to buy the leather kits? how much did it cost you to have yours fitted?

what should i look out for when looking at and buying a uk spec 300 zx?? also what is the diffrences in the uk and jap spec so i dont get a jap spec thinking its a uk one as i would like the uk one

Has anyone removed the fuel purge tank???? The small pipe at the bottom of mine has corroded away and the pipe is now hanging loose at the bottom. Have had a look for where it goes once it enters the car body but cant see where it goes off too so am wondering if it can be safely removed and if it can is there a guide to doing it properly...

Just drove past a black zed in Matlock Bath, we were stopped at the lights, didnt see you until driving past as I was singing :x:

got a toad alarm/immobiliser fitted now this is not responding so the zed is lifeless :confused: battery ok lights work etc have checked the fob all ok normally I have to press the fob for the ignition to come on but get nothing :confused: any ideas guys cheers

A guy at work has a low mileage 1993 Manual LWB T-bar in gunmetal grey wit h Leather interior... He says the MOT has expired because he doesn't use it, but he is willing to MOT it for me - so there can be nothing wrong with it really.. Now I am saving for my baby that is due in december (the reason I sold my last 300zx) but it is a deal too good to be true.... what do I do? :D

Who was it then, come on own up. I was driving on the A17 towards spalding / kings lynn at around 7pm last night. Road was wet but not raining at the time. There were about 3 lorries in front of me and I overtook two of them in the vectra before pulling in due to oncoming traffic, White Z overtook all 3 trucks and me! Doing approx double the speed limit and only just made it with about a foot on each side, swerved pretty hard to avoid oncoming car and almost lost it! Nutter!

Right chaps due to billing falling through, who's going to JAE and do we have anything organised for it . it a big event and last year we had a huge turn out.
