Hi folks firstly some lovely looking cars on here seeing them has made my mind up that i want one! :D I was wondering if you could impart soem friendly advice on buying and insuring? I have no experience of Nissan im a Vw golf man at present and with a limited budget to style the 300 series looks the business and the fact theres such a big following for the car that gives me some confidence. If you were me and had about 3k to spend on one what things would you look for and what could i hope to expect from this amount the other thing i need to consider is the fact im 27 and have been driving for only a year (i know bit of a lazy one!) My current car is…

Guys, I seemt o be leaking coolant... but only when the engine is running and has warmed up. run for 20mins or so, its a dribble... more than 30 mins and it can dump its load a lot quicker. it appears to be coming out right at the back of the engine bay in the centre of the car. thanks (as always) to the bay of the zed and my rather large belleh i cant find the leak yet. Any ideas what i should be looking for?? im guessing its the return hose from the heater matrix (once back in the bay) thats at fault... what else could be looking coolant at the back of the engine?? Carperts etc in the car are fine, so its not that far back (thank goodness) :)

Going to have my turbos either reconditioned or do an exchange.(when I get round to having the lump out) :hyper: Any body able to recommend any reconditioners and cost of either reconing or exchange. I've looked on a couple of websites and they don't seem to list prices for the Zed, this probably so they can inflate prices when we ring!?!?! :headvswal Jase

I have an amp that is connected directly to the positive terminal of the battery using the heavy gauge wire supplied with an in-fuse holder. The holder came with a 20amp blade fuse which is what i have used but noticed the other day it had melted part of the plastic part of the fuse and the holder on the battery side of the fuse. It lost the circuit but not with the fuse blowing but the fuse melting so the blade was not in contact with the sacrificial link. strangly enough if i turned the amp off and on again it would come on for a second then die. I dug out most of the melted plastic, tried a new fuse and tried to make sure it wasnt in a hot area of the en…

FYI, I spoke to someone from racelogic this weekend and he told me they will stop producing their traction control units, because their new driftbox unit is basically consuming all their production time. So...if you don't have a RLTC yet, get one quick ! (especially with the winter coming soon) -Eric

the zed needs a new clutch so i thought id change the flywheel while im there to get it out of the way... as they are so highly spoken of i was always set that i would buy the rps street clutch with the rps flywheel... however, whilst browsing the z1 webby for other clutch and flywheels i noticed this z1 clutch and flywheel combo. it claims to be better than its rps rival whilst maintaining a lighter pedal and its cheaper. my question is, does any1 have any experience with these clutch/flywheels and can any1 offer any advice as to whether they really are a 'better buy' all round than the rps versions. fair enough the are cheaper and supposedly better but wi…

I have been mucking about with my main fusebox by the RHS of engine bay. When i turn on the lights i just get the LHS headlight (as you look at the car) working with both the main and full beam on no matter the indicator stork setting. After poking around i have spotted that i think i have pulled out the wire that goes to the 15A fuse for the RHS lights. Looking at the manual this headlight also controls the dipped beam so makes sense that this is on. could someone quickly have a look at what colour the wire is that goes into this fuse and even where it follows through to because i cant seem to see it. The way the lights are labelled the LHS headlight as y…

My gear box went with a rather large ploom of smoke last night. Its had a nasty vibration and a very bizzare hesitation for a while now. It was selecting gears fine and holding power in gears, it didn't throw up any probs on the computer either. Anyway, whilst giving it a bit of right foot on the m25 last night the bottom seal went and pissed oil all over the exhaust. I didn't know what it was at the time so i was out of the car, fire extinguisher in hand as quick as possible, lol!!! Looks like a new box for me!!!
