What do you all reckon, fuel costs and time there and back if travelling at night? Driving an N/A there and a TT back. 193 miles each way?

Hello Everyone! Just thought I would ask this long shot! I am swapping my N/A with 300zxtubs TT, only thing is, he lives in Paignton and I live in Nottingham! He can’t get to me and I will find it difficult to get down there (I will if I have no choice). Is there any one from down south that will be coming up to Nottingham at any point in the near future who can collect his car and bring it to me, and then back on the way down take my car to him? I would be extremely grateful if anyone can help!

If for any reason your door cards need to be removed at a bodyshop or audio shop etc. DO IT YOURSELF!!!!!!! I was reminded of this while retrimming at the weekend. i found the top peice which is parallel to the window had been pulled off, breaking the small screw housing at the very top on each side, and siliconed back together. there was more surprises too.the clips at the bottom were in shit, screws and screw covers were missing. This really pisses me off. It's not rocket science but because of the unique door design you should go in there with your tools and do it yourself. Not sure if this is the right thing to do yet. I have been looking for a Skyline for a short while so have had the Zed repainted on the front (stone chip city no more) It has got 10 or so months left on the MOT & is is mint knick. Or should I say was unitill I appear to have got a broken ring on cylender 4. The car was fine untill I started looking to sell her. This has been the only thing that has gone wrong in over 30k miles as a daily driver. She now smokes like China lol. Obviously the spoiler on mine is going goosed.... so if i were to rip it of can i just stick a 99 spec straight on it? ..... Im assuming life would just be too easy if it happened to have the same mounting holes as the old foam effort? Or does it need some boot skin/massive fundage in order to make it look right? Also 99 spec front end, im under the impression that just bolts on (quick rattle can etc ;)) to fix the lack of paint and general rubbish condition of the front end of the car?

So how many members do we have living in or around the Birmingham/NEC area, say within a 45min or so drive of the NEC???? Hey guys my newly bought car is ready for driving, but there are irritating things that must be solved. If you know how to fix them/what they are or could be or where I could buy replacements and have them fitted then please please help. i have searched the forum and found some information, and sum excellent interiors! i must admit i found a thread and it had JJP's interior which was completely awesome. my question is - how much material is required for a full retrim? including seats, glove box, doors, gearbox surround etc? any answers / replies would be very much appreciated! many thanks in advance. :hyper:

I have passed a maroon Zed a couple of times in the last couple of months in the Colne Valley and over the tops in Kirkheaton. Think it even stopped for Chips in Slawit one Saturday night! Always seem to be drving the Audi A4 when this happens - so no flash!!

The recent thread about car colours got me thinking - I've always fancied a carbon fibre bonnet, as I love the look of c/f weave, but think that black is too much contrast on a red car and would spoil the overall look... Has anyone had to have their cam seal(s) replaced before and do you remember what sort of price you paid?. I have an oil leak which looks like one of the cam seals on the drivers side head, there is a fair amount of oil on that side and it looks to be coming from under the cam cover. I am considering having a go myself but I don't feel particularly confident removing and refitting the cam belt successfully. I guess whilst doing the seal(s) I should also consider having the water pump and cam belt changed as well? Cheers Gareth

My car is stored at my parents house. Some drunk lady has smashed into the side of it whilst it was parked up :cry: . She has hit the rear passenger wheel and snapped the alloy in half (must of been really going for it !), and just to the left of it she has done the pillar and it is a definate write off ! I am only third party fire and theft so hoping she has insurance, although first assumptions are she doesn't ! Completely pi&&ed off now and I hope she gets a prison term !

Trimming my interior over the winter, but one question, do I retain the door pillar belts, or convert to B pillar belts? I want to unplug them too and get rid of the silly electronic slack thing as it messes up the recoil sometimes. Thing is, I kind like the door pillar belts as they look funky. It's why there's a pillar there, or rather gives a designed reason to have them there. BUT, I also want seatbelts to feel like new rather than aged belts which have all the slackness of an old woman's fanjita. Can't decide what to do really. Hi peeps, i was looking at upgrading my injectors (555cc) and fuel rail (300 degree).... what other components do i need to take into consideration ie fuel pump, ECU, ect ect.... i know its been remaped already at some point....does 'MINES' ring any bells to any one?? cheers

I have decided to get my new zed in mint condition, so I spent some time with my local bodyshop over the weekend. They have given me a great price for a respray in the original Gunmetal grey - but If I am getting the work done - now might be a good time to get a colour change. I like the grey, but I also like the focus ST Orange... What do you think?

Started my car up just fine this morning..but had hardly left the driveway and it stalled. Tried to start it again and nothing but turn-over. Tried a few times with approx 5-10min intervals but nothing! Waited almost 2hrs for rescue truck to arrive who thought it might be flooded so took out the fuel pump fuse but this didn't solve the problem! Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this? The car is an auto so complicates things a little! If not ideas, can anyone suggest a decent garage I can get towed to that won't rip me off??
