Can somebody tell me how to tell if a limiter is still fitted.I have just test driven a 1994 300zx tt lwb auto and with the cruise on it will not go above 70 with the cruise off it will do about 110.

some of you may remember in may i had my car run into. it is being dealt with by my solicitors and the other parties insurance, who are now willing to settle the claim but cant admit liability due to the tw@t who run into me wont admit they did it. my solicitor has now given them 21 days to make an offer of settlement before taking it to court. anyhow, to add insult to injury. today i went to the bank to relieve some of my hard earned pennies into their sticky fingers only to come out to this. the only person who saw what happened was a woman in her 70s, who waited for me to come back to the car. all she could tell me was that it was a white van with a trailer on the…

Last week i took my car off the road because the knock censor packed up and then the maf did too and it put me in 'limp home mode' (max 3000 revs). I took the engine to pieces and changed the knock censor and was told the maf probably just needs a clean so did that too, Now the problems begin, 1, I have put everything back together and have this breather/vacume hose left and i cant find where it goes, pictures below, it comes from a small block next to the brake fluid pot, (car is a uk tt mannual) it has an electrical point at the bottom which is plugged in then 2 pipes coming off it one above the other, the bottom one seems to go down towards turbo but i cant…

not really a problem but when on short runs the engine lifters can be heard but when on a long run it ok sweet as a nut my question is would new lifters solve this? or is it that they don't like short runs its a auto tt j reg

hey folks just a quick question if anyone can help before i put a item wanted post up,my boot carpet wasnt upto much in my 1991 jap n/a so i got another from a wreckers yard however its not as wide as mine on the offside just behind the wheel arch.it hasnt been cut and is still factory sewn but i was curious as to why they differ and also i will then know what to put in my wanted ad for the correct carpet for my car. cheers paul

Since moving away from my boy racer ness of my previous motor i've built the 300 for power but.... It does really need some tunes so, this is what i'm thinking. Alpine head unit up front. 6.5" components up front (stock fit) 8" mids in the black vinyl area next to the rear seats. Bass tube in the boot. I know the bass tubes are not as good as a sub and amp but i want something light, very light and not all the wires. What are the best parts/brands to buy? and what i've come up with do you think that is a good all round setup? preferably no additional amps.

My engine has a slight tap when you first start it and then goes away when it warms up. Does anyone know if this is commen and what it is? Cheers

as some people may know my Z has failed its mot on a few things. The main 2 being that the brake lines are corroded and both rear inner sills need sorted. Has anyone had this work done before that can give me a rough idea of what im looking at if i decide to fix her up rather than sell as she is? Cheers Brett

Recently i found a japanese guys personal 2000spec model website and have been looking at all the photos of his zed and found some interesting things. While i was checking the maintance section he made i found a picture of this Which seems to show a different designed brake master cylinder to what ive previously seen on all zeds, does anyone know anything about this new cylinder.

hi just want to know what power the following z32 vg30dett parts can handle: z32 turbo gearbox? pistons? rods? crankshaft? ecu before it will need changing? Any help would be great thanks guys

Wanted to get rid of the orange diffuser inside so rather than cut it up & get the bits out I took the long road. One thing that annoyed me more is that apart from the orange bit is that the inside is white/light grey plastic. The only chrome is the reflector. here it is after being in the oven: Primed up the inside, then a nice coat of gloss black which is needed to apply the chrome. Final result with one of those bulbs that light orange but are silver when off. Definitely updated the look I think, whatcha rekon?

i wonder if anyone could tell me where i could get a 300zxtt lighted rear panel from or do you make them yourself??

I've just bought some 18's for my car and was told off somebody who has the same wheels that he needed to uses spacers, only 3mm and 5mm, will i get away without having to change the studs if I can find spacers that just sit between the wheel and the discs?

Seems that a few people have fitted these and I want to know if anyone has had any problems?

i've searched but still confused. i fitted a momo millenium 2 weeks ago. I have the wire for the horn, it's a yellow wire which I cut from the cruise/hicas/horn connector. if touch it to the body the horn sounds so that's straightforward enough. I'm not bothered with the cruise control so i've tucked the plug under the steering wheel. I got a hub kit which fits nicely onto the column, it was sold separately but by the same supplier rockshore.co.uk(something like that) so everything fits correctly. Does my J spec auto have an aftermarket gearbox oil cooler?? Was helping a friend out trying my afm on his s14 tonight and noticed this cooler (well it looks like a cooler!) cable tied to the front bumper, with an MFR date of 39th week of 2002...
