Ok First off my name is Asim hey everybody im 21 years old (22 in january getting old) love jap motors, my uncle has always had jap cars and i just cant get enuff. Having not owned one jap motor yet and having the money to buy one now my first choice was a r33 gtr, however a decent one was gonna set me back about 4 grand over my budget. I had worked out for insurance and the car but of 4 grand fully comp on a standard car cheapest was 3500 standard car even adrian flux and a few others couldnt get it cheaper than that as me being first driver with 4 points. So the next best thing a twin turbo 300zx and ive already checked the insurance 1500 quid fully comp point …

looking at autobox/oil cooler kit from z center. Is this east to fit? anyone got a pdf or own they can mail me? Also pcv valves/hoses where do I buy how to fit? One more...... boost gauge. deceided on a swoosh psi one are they easy to put in anyone any guides. All or any help would be appreciated

I am putting a warning up to all those who were part of the group buy on the indiglo dials. My main speedo cluster stopped lighting up the other day. I finally got a chance to investigat the problem today and found the problem. where the connections join the dial, it has cracked and kind of melted! The problem is the connection is a little too big to fit in the housing so it needs to be bent slightly. I will be contacting MyGarage to arrange a replacement as soon as I can but I thought that I am unlikely to be the only person affected by this. I thought I should add some pics for those that are interested...

oh dear oh dear oh dear, Right then, who can tell me if me turbo is fooked. only got the stock boost gauge, but upon turning on the ignition the needle no stays to the far left, and when i drive the car it doesnt move either, ecu is code 55. I think the off side one has gone. But is there a way i can really tell, apart from lack of power, got aload of smoke out the back when i rev the engine up, Regards Dave

I have a technical question ! I did the modification to headlights today so that my HID dipped beam stays on when I put on full beam....however it resulted in the HID dipped beam flashing on when I flash my full beam too. This is no good, as will severly shorten the life of my HID's. I want full beam only to flash when my headlights are off....and for my dipped beam to stay on when I flash with headlight on. I did it my earthing the middle pin (5) of the Headlight dimming relay in main fuse box. I got the same result by just earthing one of the HID dipped beam earth wires. is there another way ?

After years of searching I think I may have found the cheapest and best quality restorer. It works on 'that grey bit in your front bumper', Window seals well basically anything that is palstic/rubber based (On your car before anyone tries anything they really shouldn't!!) It is called: Meguiar's Gold Class Trim Detailer. I'm not one for following instructions but I'd advise doing so with this stuff as it does give the best results. Unfortunately the only place I have seen it is Halfrauds, but then again it was only about £6. :D

Hi all, i have searched and found the threads about that damn annoying bonging noise when you go over 110mph, but my car is making the same noise each time you come to a stop ( ie in traffic ) ! Anybody know how i can stop this as its really doing my head in Thanks John

Still considering my options in regards to putting non-Land Rover seats in my Landy. Thanks to Mr Dixon I have a pair of Z32 cloth seats anytime I want them, however, it would be nice at some point to tart them up a little (particularly handy when I eventually come to sell it) so...what are the cheapest leather or (more likely) vinyl seat covers out there for the Z32? I know with most of the cheaper options, if you fit them yourself they ruck and gather like nobodies business. Although I'm trying to do this as cheaply as possible I'd definately pay to get them put on by a pro as there's nothing worse than seats that are poorly fitted...I'd rather keep them cloth. Che…

I think im having a few few problems?? 1. does my car have aircon?? or is it the Econ 2. my Z dosent blow out hot air but only luke warm at 40 and when the fans are on the Econ light comes on. Is this right?? i was thinking that the Econ was aircon and stuck on hence the warm not hot air if you know what i mean?? Also first start of the day it takes about 15 to 20min for the choke to switch off (runs at 1500rpm) Any help would be super many thanks O and its a 93 TT Manual Dave

does the 300zx (specifically a 1995 series 4, as i didn't think the series 1 did) have a cabin filter or pollen filter my air flow to the cabin vents seems lower than it should be and i was wondering if there were filters that needed cleaning, and if so where i would find them

What is the best way to take off in a J-Spec N/A Auto? Is it using the gears manually or in D? I ask as in D with overdrive off and power on, when flooring it after the brief wheelspin the car doesnt seem to "take off" really until highger in the rev range? Is this normal?

Hello everybody, The Zed failed its MOT this morning :cry: nothing too serious or expensive but a few little pain in the @rse jobs. The main thing I need your help for is the passenger side headlight needs adjusting but the mechanism is FUBAR. :cry: How can I adjust it now? my cars been using oil like its going out of fashion,drives fine,pulls hard,no misfires,no nasty noises,idles fine,revs without hesitation. its spat the dipstick out a couple of times at high revs (6-7k) and spat oil allover the battery and turbo etc no smoke at all on tickover no matter how long its left, blip the throttle and there will be a puff of black smoke followed by a puff of blue smoke. drive the car normally and theres no smoke at all, open it up and you can notice a blue haze in the mirror,not loads but if you keep an eye on the mirror you can see it, coming down through the gears to a stop say off a sliproad sometimes when I stop a puff of smok…

Oh Dear, My gearbox dropped 3rd last night.... it wasnt the most pleasent experience i must say.... :-( any one got an idea on how much its going to cost to rebuild it??

Hi. The heater wont blow cold most of the time, regardless of whether econ is pressed, or how low you set the temp'. Its freeezing when i press 'def' button, occasionally it says cold for a few minutes afterwards in 'auto' I have done searches on heaters, air con etc + the fan in the rooflight is free+ whirring away well, the coolant level is good, no 'bypasses' of any kind.........as far as i know. I found a auto-diagnostic, but doesnt work on my 1992 car. Climate did work ok, for the first few days but maddening now its playing up. :smash: Anyone got any ideas? cheers :duffer:
