So how many members do we have living in or around the Birmingham/NEC area, say within a 45min or so drive of the NEC???? Hey guys my newly bought car is ready for driving, but there are irritating things that must be solved. If you know how to fix them/what they are or could be or where I could buy replacements and have them fitted then please please help. I AM RELYING ON YOU as my local nissan garage has said they will not service my car as it's a jap import :cry: 1. my rearview mirror keeps dropping. where do i get a new one? 2. there is an irritating squeaky sound that comes from the front of the car closer to the drivers side. its especially evident on bad roads but often hushes up for over several minutes. what could it be? 3. the rollup cover for the boot has a clip missing…

i have searched the forum and found some information, and sum excellent interiors! i must admit i found a thread and it had JJP's interior which was completely awesome. my question is - how much material is required for a full retrim? including seats, glove box, doors, gearbox surround etc? any answers / replies would be very much appreciated! many thanks in advance. :hyper:

I have passed a maroon Zed a couple of times in the last couple of months in the Colne Valley and over the tops in Kirkheaton. Think it even stopped for Chips in Slawit one Saturday night! Always seem to be drving the Audi A4 when this happens - so no flash!!

The recent thread about car colours got me thinking - I've always fancied a carbon fibre bonnet, as I love the look of c/f weave, but think that black is too much contrast on a red car and would spoil the overall look... Has anyone had to have their cam seal(s) replaced before and do you remember what sort of price you paid?. I have an oil leak which looks like one of the cam seals on the drivers side head, there is a fair amount of oil on that side and it looks to be coming from under the cam cover. I am considering having a go myself but I don't feel particularly confident removing and refitting the cam belt successfully. I guess whilst doing the seal(s) I should also consider having the water pump and cam belt changed as well? Cheers Gareth

My car is stored at my parents house. Some drunk lady has smashed into the side of it whilst it was parked up :cry: . She has hit the rear passenger wheel and snapped the alloy in half (must of been really going for it !), and just to the left of it she has done the pillar and it is a definate write off ! I am only third party fire and theft so hoping she has insurance, although first assumptions are she doesn't ! Completely pi&&ed off now and I hope she gets a prison term !

Trimming my interior over the winter, but one question, do I retain the door pillar belts, or convert to B pillar belts? I want to unplug them too and get rid of the silly electronic slack thing as it messes up the recoil sometimes. Thing is, I kind like the door pillar belts as they look funky. It's why there's a pillar there, or rather gives a designed reason to have them there. BUT, I also want seatbelts to feel like new rather than aged belts which have all the slackness of an old woman's fanjita. Can't decide what to do really. Hi peeps, i was looking at upgrading my injectors (555cc) and fuel rail (300 degree).... what other components do i need to take into consideration ie fuel pump, ECU, ect ect.... i know its been remaped already at some point....does 'MINES' ring any bells to any one?? cheers

I have decided to get my new zed in mint condition, so I spent some time with my local bodyshop over the weekend. They have given me a great price for a respray in the original Gunmetal grey - but If I am getting the work done - now might be a good time to get a colour change. I like the grey, but I also like the focus ST Orange... What do you think?

Started my car up just fine this morning..but had hardly left the driveway and it stalled. Tried to start it again and nothing but turn-over. Tried a few times with approx 5-10min intervals but nothing! Waited almost 2hrs for rescue truck to arrive who thought it might be flooded so took out the fuel pump fuse but this didn't solve the problem! Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this? The car is an auto so complicates things a little! If not ideas, can anyone suggest a decent garage I can get towed to that won't rip me off?? Hello All Finally got the plenum off, bit off a pig, lots of pipes to renew now, right, as the plenum is off ive got wires and connectors and tubes all over the shop, lol. Now when i come to put the thing back on, its probably gonna be a nightmare.=, so was thinking of removing as much as i can to clean up the engine bay, so did a search a found a good one on the aiv removal, couple of questions, is it the same to do on a twin turbo, as the sticky is on a non turbo, and do i have to do anything with the ecu??? Secondly would really like to remove the egr system, done a search on it but theres nothing really conclusive on how to go about it, so if anyone has some pics…

I have a problem with flashing my main beam:- i) When headlights are off and I pull the stalk back to flash, then only the driver's side light flashes. ii) When sidelights are on and I pull the stalk back to flash, then only the driver's side light flashes. iii) When headlights are on and I pull the stalk back to flash, then both main beams flash. iv) When headlights are on and I push the stalk forwards, then both main beams stay on. Posted a little while back about issues with my main beams. Well it's gotten a little worse now. I fitted hid's to upgrade my dipped beam which is fantastic. So I did the obvious and compared the new hid to the main beams. All fine. Ate some food and decided to go for a spin, no more high beams at all. Does this sound right? (lights are on dipped, 2nd click on the pod control): If I pull the light stalk toward me to flash mains I can hear a relay clicking in the engine fuse box. If I push the stalk away to lock it on main beams the relay does not click. The main beam blue dash light no longer comes on. Bulbs are not blown. :cry: …

well, like the title says, hello all!! :D at the mo, i dont have a 300ZX but i have a plan to recitfy that problem!! :rofl: but my ride is a 2.5 V6 Calibra..so it aint too bad :p apart from it being wrong wheel drive!! just a quiclie though, are ZX understeery at all? i have heard reports of them being quite prone to power induced oversteer (which is fun!) but not a big fan of understeer, but i am thinking that that big lump out front may cause it...what says you? oh and can someone prod the webmaster as i sent him a PM and he has not read it yet! :p

hi guys n gals my drivers side window stopped working today just as it was getting dark luckerly in the up position {phew} on a quick inspection i think the motors gone as the black control box is clicking away but i will double check for dry joints or broken wires , but it does sound like a new motor well secound hand will be needed any body out there got one,or know where to get one and roughly how much wonga, cheers folks
