hi peeps ive just changed my old cheapo k & n filter for a decent pipercross one and its made the exhaust sound different ...is this normal as it sounded ok before but now it sounds deeper and more rumbly surely a filter cant do that can it ???????????

Im in a bit of a pickle, and i dont know what to do... I desperatly want a manual ZX, i've been in one now and i realise that i bought the wrong one (a first to admit i was wrong, but there we go!) So i have a clean low milage Jap Auto, it has a recon box with 10k on it or so + an oil cooler. But it runs well, never gives me any crap and apart from the odd minor maintaince issue its not been a bother over the last year. It already has a chipped ecu, dump valves (good or bad iv not yet decided, mainly because they never really activate with the auto!) scorpian exhaust, apexi filter etc etc. So. Do i sell this as it is and buy a good manual? Do i…

Beside's the owner, whos not aloud to say, does anyone else recognise who this car belongs to in its semi virgin state LOL

Do any of you guys have a one piece propshaft fitted to your zed or know anything about them ? My centre prop bearing is on its way out and dont know if i should buy the new bearing or go for a one piece prop. What should i do? Also can anyone recomend where to get a one piece prop from if that i the route i should take. Thanks Matt

Hi Guyz I am SERIOUSLY considering buying a Z. I've just sold my GTO TT and was going to go for a Toyota Aristo TT but am now moving towards buying a 300TT. I had one of the early models and liked that a lot and know that the second series was much better. So I'm in the market for a decent one with the money waiting (and burning a hole in my pocket - afterall, its getting near Christmas and don't want to have to spend it on luxuries such as presents for the kids, clothes and food). This is a big ask but if anyone is around the Reading area and able to pop over and help me fix the zed today?? A fellow member was due to come over but hasn't shown up and I can't seem to get in touch either! As per my prior posts, the ECU threw out a fuel injector code so I was planning on taking off the plenum to get at the injectors but even with the write ups, I've got no idea what I'm doing! Just sold my MAF on ebay to a Subaru owner.....didnt know they were compatible.....He want to run more power! Anyone know if the subaru will understand the 300zx mas. Only so if he complains then at least I can answer him!!! Ta.

hello there, can any one help me i have 300zx j plate and i having a missing sound with engine and when i drive a short distance and the car reaches certain temp then it is dying and will not start again, until it cools down and the radiator is not over heating as the aa was called out and they checked temp with there meter and he says its normal, but before i spend a lot of money that i have not got. pls can someone help me pls my tel number is 07982255480 or leave reply..

HGave just been to wheels in motion and had the suspension geometry put back somewhere near to what it should be. The only problem is that the rear camber is adjusted as far as it will go and is still not of tolerance. So the quiestion is wll the replacment upper arms be any better. Will they have any more adjustment? Which ones should I go for and how easy are they to fit? Darrell

I am having a problem with one of my headlamps not working which is causing the other side high beam to come on. I have a UK car with the dip-dim system and think this is either where the problem is or i can find where the problem is from here. Has anyone had a similar problem? I have seen threads where people got a dip-dim bypass instructions from the Zcentre when buying HIDs. Would someone be able to tell me about these instructions? Thanks. Tom

Im not sure if i should go for red or blue hoses in my engine bay. I prefer red but blue suits a white car nicely!!!!

this is my first 300zx it and auto non turbo, its totaly standard and i want to fit new wheels and induction kit, what wheel size n tyre size do i need, ie if i put 18s on what offset and what width front and back, and what profile of tyre(35/40/45??) Secondly could someone post a pic of their induction kit fitted please?? I'm going to buy one, but there doesn't seem to be an airbox on the car, wheres ther airfilter etc??? Cheer all

Hey guys looking for some advice... I had my light inserts chromed via a member on here a couple of years ago and they looked mint but have now faded with a few spots appearing through the chrome. I want to get them done again and wonder who's offering the sevice these days? - Danny (DTA) always seems to offer quality but its just a bit pricey for me as I am really doing up the car to sell. - I hear a few people have sprayed them chrome - I read a thread about this from a while back - but am wondering whether the effect has lasted or whether they have faded? - is anyone offering the chroming service these days? Just a quicky can you tell from the outside of an ECU whether its auto or manual. I have two one with a big 22 on it and one with a big 23 on it. My understanding is an auto ECU can run in a manual but not the other way round. Thanks Chris
