As per usual for a job on a z, I have greatly underestimated what's involved here I think! I need to swap the glass on the front fog/sidelight, but how the hell do I get the old one off? Do I need to take the whole unit out, and if so how? Cheers

Need some help with this one!! as some of you may have read my "project" ZX made 502 FWHP / 440 RWHP very recently, however it made this power on relatively low boost of just 1 bar... the car has the mechanics to reach the magical 500 RWHP but is maxing out on the AFM side... The car has a Super AFC installed, it is the older type black unit with the manual dials... so my question is this... if I install a Doolz type set-up with a dummy AFM on one side will the current set-up wuth SAFC be able to adjust the fuelling to the correct levels without actually messing around with the ECU? Anyhelp on this much appreciated, Thx Lee

Had the car running sweet new lamdas, Apexi air filter trust greddy cat backs and now using vpower. Cat overheat light was coming on occasionally when booting it before air filter and lambda's done and all was good after were fitted. Fitted a mines ecu boosts harder and higher than before but cat light comes on briefly when in midrange for a while. It sort of has an uneven spot there which could be causing the prob of overfuel. When in power mode and raggin' it ... doesn't seem to come on. V. peed off anyone else similar probs

Our stupid governement is considering, again, making drivers of big engined cars pay £1000 in road tax. Putting the cost of buying a £60,000 Range Rover up is fine, because the buyer will not notice. The reports I have heard before simply said if the engine did not have a Co2 rating it would go on size, and 3000cc engines would get clobbered. If this happenes there will be many cars that simply become worthless, who will buy them? Who can afford £1000 for a few thousand miles a year? Also, all people who sell parts, service, or import them will be out of business. Even the insurance companies will notice a drop in revenue. If we sit back and let this happen…

The last few days i had been smelling something like burnt oil while i was driving and then my gf noticed a few small drops of oil on her driveway after i dropped her off home last night. So i inspected the area under the rear of the engine bay for five minutes but couldnt see ay dripping oil. It was at night to so i couldnt see anything in the engine bay until today when i saw this on the mainfold I tried to get a photo of where i suspect the leak is coming from but i couldnt get a good enough shot with my crappy camera. But to give you a rough idea its coming from just under the plemum here; Coming from what looks like an injector bractor …

Just bought my first 300ZX, joined the club and thought I'd say hello. It's a metallic blue 1994 manual TT UK model and I'm only the 3rd owner. I bought the car off a friend who had it for the last 10 years and know the car pretty well. A letter from the first owner even states it was one of the last batch of 9 UK models supplied by Nissan UK. Loads of small stuff to do to get it back to it's former glory, but that'll be the fun part. So apologies in advance for any dumb questions I ask on the forum. Dave

I have a manual TT Engine ECU I am looking to sell but before I do I was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with the people who have chipped it. It has a 2 stage boost button on it, with normal and higher the 2 settings for the boost. I spoke to the company who are called Turbosystems Motorsport, Unit 9, Winpenny Rd, Parkhouse Ind Estate East, Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffs ST5 7RH on the sticker on the ECU, they said it was chipped but would be ok to use on a standard car. Anyone got any input regarding this before I list it or any intrest. I have included a pic of the ECU/Sticker on it. Cheers John Crisp
