Im looking to order quite a few parts from Z1 however i am a little worried about duty etc when the part comes over here.

Does anyone know how this works or how i might get it cheaper lol :x:

i have heard you can get away with it if customs doesnt check the cargo they only check so many its a gamble...thats what i was told you could always get the supplier to mark your items as " gift " this has worked for me on a number of occasions hth mate

Some of the usual pitfalls for yer, marked as gift is still liable for duty, marked under value and goods go missing or damaged you claim only the amount on the invoice and nothing else.

Goods come by courier and they pay your fees and then bill you, parcelforce deliver and they usually wait for you to pay before delivering, most options also charge a handling fee.

You should have seen in the past many peeps have been more than happy with their dealings from across the pond with only a small minorty havn't been because of amount of duties, wrong parts, missing parts etc.

Just allow 21% ontop of your purchase price AND shipping as this is also taxable and you'll get a good idea if it's worth it or not.

Basically im looking to place a big order with Z1 fr parts and they seem to come out cheaper than anywhere else over here, at least what i have seen anyway.

Im getting my engine fully rebuilt

PM Jimmer, he buys shed loads of parts from Z1 for engine rebuilding.

ive always paid duty. then again they have always shipped UPS

 

teh only time I didnt was when I got the company to list it as a gift with a birthday card.

You will still get charged VAT (on items over £37) if marked as gift
