that is the question ????????? been thinking of selling the zed not really getting the use out of it anymore hardly had it out at all this year (due to weather) because of my job i cant use it as a daily driver. so its garaged up half of the time. i dont get to as many shows as i used to, which is what a car like this is for. would also like to try a mustang ? on the other hand i love the car and the attention it gets if i do let it go ,i know i will regret it  if i can keep hold until next year. hopefully a better summer will change my mind.? although its a lot of money to have sat around the garage decisions decisions dec…

Hi all, A few quick Q's under this heading. My engine is out for turbo replacement, not seen the VVT solenoids until now and they appear to have partially melted (I assume they should be encased in plastic - this appears to be transformed into a chewing gum like goo) - I could be wrong, maybe they always look like that, any comments?? Does anyone have a pic of what they should look like? I'm running an AVC-r and want to remove as much redundant rubbish from the engine/bay as I can. Is it possible to safely remove the stock boost solenoids and also the standard recirc valves ?(Blitz BOVs fitted on hardpipes). I want to do a plenum bypass whilst I'm at i…

Are they worth it? Was quoted £367 for a 24month warranty (£2500) claim limit per individual claim? Covers everything except bodywork. Seems pretty good to me for a 15 year old car and think I would get my monies worth!

Hi everyone this is my first post, i dont own a Zed but im lookin at buying one next year, so just a few things i would like to know. My insurance is cheapest if i had a uk model non turbo, i havnt seen any for sale all the UK ones seem to be twin turbo's, Are the uk n/a models rare?? I used to own a pulsar gtir which was fun but im not keen on turbo cars after owning that, I wanted to know a few questions mainly comparing these 300zx's to a pulsar gtir i.e. fuel difference with the Zed not having a turbo but being a higher litre, are parts just as expensive or alot more than the gtir?? I guessing most parts you can get hold of quite easy as i could with my gtir. Do the U…

:hyper: Got my Z through the first MOT since I've had her...... was worrying about it, Just needed a small patch of welding on the rear nearside sill....... and thats it for another year. The bloke next to my work welded it for £90 so well pleased :D Don't think thats too bad for a 15 year old uk TT.

Well, it's finally happened, I spun off the road in the wet! (there was oil on the road) was accelerating away from mini r/about, when the rear end went out, corrected that and she was gone! We (had my little girl in the front with me), spun round about 3 times really fast and ended up with arse end up a grass bank with the nose down on the opposite side of the road. Didn't hit any oncoming traffic somehow (was quite busy), a really nice guy in a small french car had stopped his car and all the traffic when he saw what was happening! Bent rear suspension and damaged g/box oil cooler, and badly damaged my Nismo alloy wheel. Will have her back on road as soon as I can, driv…

Just replaced the rear pads on my ZX about 2 weeks ago. I now have a funny sound coming from, what i think is, the rear of the car. It sounds like a quiet clunk. Its more of a fast repetative thud but not loud really. I dont notice it when I accelerate but only when I coast. Any ideas. Cheers

I've been searching far and wide (on t'internet!) for black chrome mesh to replace my silver steel mesh with but I'm having a tough old time finding it! The only ones I can find are matt black and made of polyurethane. I've checked the local garden centre with a view to painting the steel but the smallest diamond they have is 13mm across which wouldn't stop a small rodent to be fair! Anyone know where I can find the stuff???
