I very nearly crashed my Z this morning down a dual carriageway.

Travelling at approx 70 - 80 mph this Dick in a Ford Fiesta pulled out

on me, I had to brake as not to hit him. He then pulled in and I'm

still doing around 70 mph, floored it in 4th and OMFG, proper wheel spin

and I'm pointing into the inner lane, lifted off and I'm pointing to the

armcoving (sp?) whilst banging my head on the Targa trim. After a few more

left/rightcorrections I'm going in a straight line again. Slowed to about 60

for the rest of the way and let the Twat in the Fiesta sail by.

I was close to pooping my pants.

So a warning to others and a note to self :-

Calm down in this cold damp weather !

Loads of threads going to be popping up this winter! :(

Lucky you though!

problem is the cold ait makes the turbos work properly.

the cold floor makes the tyres work like shit.

all in all thats a terrible mixture.

Get some wide rubber on the rears!!! Really does help although it's no good for snowy conditions!! 285 on the rear stops nasty wheel spins etc!!

racelogic will cure this problem for sure

Why not just slow down in these conditions, it costs nothing.

I think I got my sensible head on today.

Paul

Wide rubber only makes it worse in anything but dry conditions! Agreed on the racelogic TC :)

Yeah man, just new trollies not new car LOL

Hmmm, fiesta or some other sort of shed has crossed my mind a few times in these winterey months over the years, trouble is what sort of shed and how much to spend and how much would I save over the winter period not driving the Z. I've nerver worked it out !

But I'm sure other people have

I had a dented k reg 1.3 fiesta for a bit last winter and it saved me loads in petrol and parking worries etc. I have now upgraded to a dented J reg supra shed due to working much closer to home and I cant wait for a bit of snow to play in! :)
