Anyone have pictures of the Z32 engine bay in Black, with a non-black body colour ? I want to paint the engine bay when I pull the engine, and while Im 90% sure I will keep the body Bayside Blue, there is a small chance I could have a colour change. I dont want to paint the engine bay in Bayside blue, only to end up with a different exterior colour. So....Black engine bays, probably like a satin black ?

What started off as a minor niggle has gotten considerably louder. I can hear it best when I open the door of the car, at idle. When driving it appears to disappear altogether. The only way I can describe the sound is a gargling or liquid. I originally thought, cooling system but I’m now really unsure. Any suggestions? Cheers

Il pop up some pictures later if I get time but I'm after some advice as to how I got it wrong. I painted my bonnet last summer, first time using a gun an compressor. Using 1k paint. I keyed the original paint to the primer then applied a layer of primer from a can, then the colour then two coats of clear. After some wet sanding I was really happy. Few minor things like a fly and I over sanded one corner. First few weeks were great. Then winter came. The paint was suddenly ruined. The car lives under a cover. The two defects are tiny blisters, I believe these are called micro blisters and are caused by water in paint? This is only in one area. The second defect which is t…

Hello all need some advice. After many years I am finally going to start to get the car back on the road. The car was taken off the road when the clutch release bearing went in 2006, bought a replacement as well as new lightened flywheel and upgraded clutch, but many things got in the way of doing the work (lost job, owning money when back at work, repeat several times, and a drop in interests at times). Now nearly 10 years later the time has come to get the car back on the road, the question is what do I do? The car has been sitting in a garage (located under the house and doesn't change temp as much as the outside), The gearbox is currently off as is the…

So, I just replaced a wing mirror from a different Zed, and I seem to have different connections - Did the mirrors change at all between years, or do I have the wrong plug? I don't think I do, it's the only one it can be, or can find.

So, its taken me some time to be able to get round to writing this..... Some of u who know me may have been wondering where I was not at Japfest considering i was so excited & had track time booked..... The weekend before I went to get new tyres fitted + full alignment & camber set up redone as i'd dropped the car even lower on her meister coilovers. About 5 mins after leaving said tyre specialist I crossed a round about (without going sideways for once) & accelerated gently up a hill in a straight line..... problem is it was pissing it down, lots of surface water changed up into 3rd & accelerated, back end went span full retard took out a road sign and…

Hi, I just took delivery of what I thought would be a QH water pump. I did my research and believed QH to be top quality. It turns out the pump that arrived is NPW. Can anyone reinforce or correct the below statement from the seller; 'No, it i is not a mistake the unit supplied is a QH boxed product. NPW manufacture the unit for QH. That is how they are supplied from QH. All the Japanese replacement units are supplied to us in that manner. We have sold just under 200 units this year for Japanese models and to date we have not had any returned as faulty. We have no control over who manufactures the units for QH we sell them as they are supplied to us as QH replac…

For the last couple of days, I've had what was once a dream car parked on the drive: a Supra Aerotop TT6. :) I wanted one of these for the longest time, but the only market that got the manual box in an Aerotop was the USA, so it would've meant a manual conversion or buying one that'd already been converted. In my nearly 3 years of Z32 ownership though, I've found the Supra to be slipping down the list of dream cars and, now I've been able to compare the two back to back properly, I've found that (in my opinion, at least) the Supra is to be found wanting.... It's a very brash car. Where the Zed is sleek and fairly subtle, the Supra is incredibly obvious - i…

Been spending quite a bit of cash on the zeds over the last few weeks So, for the blue car, I've bought some new UK clocks which gets rid of the EL type ones that were/are in it. Think I'll have to fit some chrome speedo rings... got a set lying around somewhere. I've also bought another Veilside evolution exhaust system for the blue one... Will probably end up sitting unfitted in the garage like. For the black zed, I'm waiting on delivery of the Stillen type III lip from mjp. Also bought some nice (but expensive) suspension parts. I got: - Z1 FUCA's (street version) - SPL pro titanium RUCA's - SPL pro titanium tension rods - Driftwo…

Hi guys I had a 4 second misfire a while back and ignored it. Went for a blast the other day and got a permanent misfire on number 1. Ive swapped the coil for number 2 and the issue is still with cylinder 1. Im yet to check the spark plug, wiring seems ok though, even though all the coil connectors just pull off (tabs snapped off) It looks like a series 2 ptu, is there anything else i should look at? Thanks Mark

Right as title really... My zeds fubar, having a rebuild and turbos / injectors... Got good support mods jwt r5 cams, 3" exhaust, 2.5" pipework ba intercoolers, selin dual intake, But which turbos should I go for? I like the look of GT675RS BB turbos, but the newer gtx are probably within my budget, I think I've the setup for the big turbos but not sure which? Hopefully someone can help me work out which is best... It will see track use, as well as drag days etc, not afraid of a bit of lag, but not too much. And going for 740cc injectors

Can anyone recommend a good transport company? Will need to get my zed to jimmer for its rebuild now I've broken it, it's in a bad way lots of smoke and sprung a coolant leak, so driving it there is looking unlikely. Thanks.
