ANY GOOD CONDITION USED ONE'S OUT THERE?? I know, I know!! BUT.. I'm still feeling the need to change the front of my zed for something a bit more radical, and "in yer face" lol.. and taken myself by suprise by liking the zeds recently pictured at the Sutton Bank meet, fitted with the Veilside c2 front bumpers  I know these bumpers are generally not liked on here.. But each to their own ;) and think it may suit my wide arch ?? It may just be another one of my 'crazy' ideas.. :nelson: Really liked fairladyzgirls's in black, when she had one fitted.. I was driving home from work yesterday and noticed the temp gauge going up just as I was getting home. I have checked the coolant level today with the engine cold and it was empty, so I filled it up and then heard it coming straight out. It was emptying straight out, a constant flow onto the drive, I have not had chance to get under it and have a proper look yet, but from looking above the engine near the dip stick I could see it leaking from a pipe near the bottom of the engine. Has anyone got any idea which pipe it might be, or is there something else in that area which might be leaking?

Just got the car (1993 TT Auto) out of hibernation and after fitting new battery is running very well, other than the knocking almost rattling noise that is now very noticable from the front nearside, might be worn bush or something similar first notice this last year. Car sailed through its MOT only a few hundred miles ago, noise seemes to be worse when first driving, no noise when under load or unloaded eg when cornering all is quiet, but on a straight that has uneven road surface knocks away like nobody business. Going to have to get it sorted now, any ideas where I should start. There seems to be a distinct lack of specialist around this area (york), anyone k…

what the hell are in these. i was on the A12 at the weekend and a Focus RS pulls in front on me. we started racing but he was basically leaving me behind. i started to catch up but restriction kicked in and.... bah he got away. i know my car is heavier and i have limit restriction and auto goign into HIS favour...... but jesus what are those things....... i still love my zed but would a manual of made the difference or would i have to mess about with the car to beat it. i want to leave my zed stock and i can admit my car isnt that fast these days compared to all the lightweight high revving cars out there. guess ill just stick to driving it slow and not bother l…

Does my 300 have it?? 1990 Twin Turbo. How do you tell if it's actually working? Basicly i've had the engine rebuilt and not sure this was done correctly. Also when mapped on a standalone such as a Aem do you need to setup the Vtc in the mapping side of things or is it purely mechanical? Also Vtec on the like of Honda's is used higher up the rev range is this the same for ours?

Well Finally got round to fitting Dannys HID kit, to say i'm impressed is an understatement, The ease of installation of this kit is amasing!! I had the bumpwer off as i was fitting the mesh so thought i'd do the HID's while i was at it, as the ballests cause a bit of a prob with location, i ended up putting them on the inside of the nose cone section, under the vents that was there is no way of them over heating. I found it easier to take the lights them selves iut to aid in putting it all together. a few little pictures for you.... Light with normal bulb... notice the yellowish tinge... Now a HID bulb...mmmm nice and white... At nigh…

I got as local garage to service my 300 a while ago. They replaced the NGK plugs with Bosch. Everyone on here tells me Bosch are no good so I bought some of the right NGK plugs (cheers Topless) and fitted them today. To be honest it seemed to run ok on the Bosch ones but I think the fuel consumption was down a bit. The NGK are definitely a slightly different length. Anyway - it turns out the garage had only changed the front four plugs, not the rear two which need the ballance bar removing. So they double f*cked up - I'm going to have a quiet word with them tomorrow. They fitted the wrong plugs, didn't bother changing two of them and still charged me f…

What size of rear tyre's are the Wide arch members running? I have 3 piece 10x18" alloys going on the back which need new tyres. Trouble is i dont know what width of tyre would be best. Also, does the offset of the alloys affect what size of tyre will fit under the wide arch? Lastly, will i need a spacer with 10x18" alloys with a wide arch kit?

How many people on here have experience with these pistons? They are going inside my rebuild. Scott at nexus said hed rather fit pistons that he has tried and tested, he wouldnt like to fit them as he doesnt want to hurt his rep if they blow. Thats fair doos but im not looking for massive power gains just a set that can handle at least 17psi. Im rebuilding the standard tubs myself and getting them balanced and having bigger injectors fitted at a later date. I read recently max psi on oem tubs is around 16-17 am i wrong? Also its debatable on which headgasket to use, oem or an uprated metal one, i heard uprated are more prone to failure, legrath you mentioned…
