General Discussions - 300ZX Related

Any one else on here have this fitted to their car. ? My battery has been off for about 2 months and now when started runs rich and like sh?t. I also have the SAFC fitted, would this perhaps dump all the settings if not powered for that period of time. The handbook gives dire warnings about death and dispair if this is setup wrong. I'm already in dispair so now only death scares me. The other problem is that Consult does not work properly either with this fitted as the F-CON ECU ignores any commands coming from the Consult such as in the power balance test. HELP.

Just had my renewal through from Houghtons....£693 !!!! second car limted mileage. It cost me £480 to insure my 350Z full comp for every day use! Need to ' Negotiate ' but Any other ideas?

Got those aero vu wipers last week and got around to fitting them yesterday( still in a lot of pain due to tonsillitus operation so couldnt be arsed until now ) They are a lot quieter in operation than the previous metal type blades and the sweep seems smoother , the water removal is better and the blades dont lift at speeds so they still offer the same performance if it rains and you are at speed, and they look a lot better, took the chance to paint the arms again as well.

Was on the M25 on my way back home at 4am and fancied a bit of a thrash. So I went for it and pushed it in 3rd gear at 80mph and just touched the redline to 4th. Didn't go into the red, but pushed it hard. When I slowed down, engine warning light came on, so I decided to limp home. A bit of smoke from the rear and noticed it was juddering, like it was misfiring somewhere, sounding like a V12. Got home and stopped and saw smoke coming from the back of the engine. Smelt like oil. Temp guage was fine and warning light disappeared. Any ideas or suggestions what happened? Have I blown something?

A friend of mine fitted my bov`s on Friday, however one seems to be a standard one and the other seems to blow in series, the series one always dumps first followed by the other, sounds everso strange, but i like it lol

Hi guys does anyone know if uk p spec stock alloys will fit jap spec A friend has a set of stock alloys from a uk 200sx was wantin to know if theyd fit my 300zx,hes away at the mo so i cant get hold of them to see and the suspense is killin me lol mamny thanks chris!

My wheels are at the refurbishers waiting to be done, however they dont have the correct tool to loosen these bolts! The wheels are made by Enkei and were only sold in US and Japan. They are split rims and i cannot find anywhere that has a tool to fit these bolts. I just need to stop them from turning as the nuts on the back are loosened. As you can see the bolts have 6 slits in them where the correct tool will fit into. Does anyone on here have a tool that would fit these bolts? Or any suggestions where i could get one? The overall size of the bolts is about 10mm.

hi folks just wondering has anyone ever got this problem ,ive got myself a 92 z and my driver side window keeps popin out of the runner @ the top just behind the seatbelt , if anyone could help it would be great, thanks

I have just replace the left side 02 sensor as the previuos one seemed to be faulty. Just ran the car on conzult and following result. Both 02 sensor run at around 0.30v on start up then when the idle speed drops back to 900rpm the R/S drops to 0.20v but the L/S keeps dropping away until it reads 0.00v When the engine is reved the L/S shots up to the same reaing as the R/S then drops back to 0! Any ideas as this is what the last one did?

How much am I looking at to have my gunmetal gray LWB (a) resprayed (same colour) (b) have body kit pro fitted and resprayed (same colour) Also, anyone know anyone in Notts that does this?

As you know i recently fitted upper camber arms and i adjusted the front by eye, I went and did my tracking yesterday and the front camber was bang on and didnt need adjusting how mad is that :) Although pretty much everything else was way out. quite impressd with myself. But there is one thing im worried about... The front toe was out and they straightened it, thats fine, but when the car sits with the steering wheel in the neutral position, both wheels look like they are pointing outwards????? does anyone else suffer from this illusion? am i going mad coz im sure they dont look straight.

First off, if a cat is fitted to your car from new. Is it leagle to do away with it? Fanncy getting rid and replace with SS down pipes without cats. Saw add for them size was 2.3/8th inch diam for standard . Sounds about right before I crawll underneath, and would I find a difference in perfofmance? because I'm not into a lot of noise just to get noticed. And what's a fair price for this conversion. The car is a 1996 TT SWB

My 300 is rather on the laggy side which i kinda expected. i currently have the specialty Z super splits But they now also make these expansion down pipes and i also found these which look awesome ultimate splite downpipes Remembering i already have the super splits in the first pic, these are original Speciality Z ones and not ebay copies, would i notice much difference going up to the other ones? basicly will they be worth getting??

For a while i've been looking for a exhaust system i like for my car and i found one but the only problem is that it's for a 2 seater. what is the difference between the 2+2 system and the 2 seater?? here is the system greddy Ti-C

I have a set of Woolfrace 17" x 7" alloys (like in the pic) When you take the centre cap off there are two choices of 5 holes. Now obviously one set is 300ZX and similar cars but does anyone know what the "other set " of holes is, or what cars they fit.??? I wanna get rid of them and Im sure they will fit "loadsa cars" LOL. tyres are a bit skinny at 215 for a zed.

Anyone know where I can get data on SG of antifreeze solution vs temperature? Trying to calculate what volume of header tank I need in the Z but a bit difficult without that data!
