Just bought a Z center lambo light panel from retro620ti does anyone know if they are for series 1 cos mine is a series 2 and the fookers dont fit :headvswal

hi ive got osr tail lamp failor all the other lamps in the unit are ok it happened after towing a trailer so i assume its just a blown fuse but for the life of me cant find which one is doesnt help being on my own in the dark as im struggling to get a torch and a test light in and my head lol any one know which fuse it could be all the other side lights are working the earth to both bulbs is good but there is no live obviously Thanks Si

As above, went outside to fit my new blingy bits to find this strange marking all over my paintwork :rant: As you might have known had my spoiler fitted and collected the z yesterday. It was raining and the car was wet so never really took much notice. Came home parked the car up and left it until today. Its like the car has been wiped with a cloth and left a water type drip mark all over bonnet, wings, doors and pretty much everywhere. Needless to say I took it straight to body shop but the boss wasnt there, had a chat with the guy who works there but he dont know what it is...it has eaten into laquer. Hi guys, Sent the car off for an MOT today and to be honnest, thought it would fly through but it never. Anyway there are afew little points that the car failed on such as the numberplate which SHOULD be within the legal requirements but obviously not :x: , Nearside and Offside headlamp aim too low but what concerns me the most is that it failed on the 'Nearside and Offside rear (to flexy) brake pipe Excessively corroded' ( Thats exactly word for word on the MOT Certificate ) Can anyone give me an idea of what sort of price are we talking about for the brake problem? Just put my diff back in and there seems to be a little bit of play. I suppose thats where the funny knocking noise id coming from when ever on off throttle and changing gear... but is this normal? Has anyone else checked thiers recently? What can i do to fix it? I Believe that coz all my bushings are new and stiffer it amplifies the knock?? Heres the video: sorry for crap quality. Hi gang. Right, pretty soon I'm gonna have a grand to spend on me Z. I really want to ditch the shit tweed and I'm liking the leather seat covers and trim kits that the Z Center do. However, they are £700 + VAT and that's quite a bit on top of the £700. I'm also after an EBC, preferably a Profec B II. Anyone know of anywhere cheaper for a FULL leather interior and any other suggestions for upgrades ? CheerZ Paul

I've got a series 2 passenger seat to fit when I've trimmed the front seats. Managed to get a bit of loom and seat connector from the drivers side from series 1 breaker at Zedworld. 1st question: Can I simply run a spur from the drivers side over to the passenger side? 2nd question: Are the connectors on the drivers' seat the same as the passenger seat? Hi all, Firstly, let me apologise – I suspect this is going to be a long post! I have various different things wrong with my Zed and I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on any of it. I’m hunting through the forums and trying lots of different things here and there, but some direction from those of you with more experience than me would be greatly appreciated as I’m just not getting anywhere! I’ll try to let you know the symptoms I’m having, as I have a feeling most of it is related. Stalling I’ve got the common cutting out problem when pushing the clutch in rolling up to junctions etc. I also get the same problem if I’m just sitting statio…

Sounds really silly... but what does it sound like when a car is detting? What happens? How does the det sensor work and what does it do? Mine coughed a bit at 6500rpm and didnt want to rev about it tonight, didnt do it again just wondered if it was the system working and it fuel cutting to stop any damage? starts o k , engine hunts between 500 @ 1500 for about 30 seconds ,then settles to about 1100 for approx 1 minute, then drops to 750 , the problem, as soon as I try to increase revs [ not in gear] engine hesitates ,drops about 200 r p m ,s sometimes cuts out. unless i hold revs at about 1100 [slip clutch] reversing out of garage and drive , engine will hesitate / cut out . after driving for about 5 minutes ,temperature guage normal mid position no probs . car drives and boosts well. i have checked eng temp sensor , new spark plugs, cleaned throttle chambers, and checked synchronization . checked for hose leaks , as far as youi can reach, all coil and injecto…

Just wondered if anyone would have any ideas why my speedo is reading 10mph out,needle sits fine and doesnt feel resistant if moved with a finger :confused: Dont think a speed sensor prob as tried my old clocks from when i bought the car and they work fine...for a short while anyway...lol (dry joints i think) If anyone's got any UK clocks up for grabs i may be interested :hyper: cheers

Went to look at this this poor Slicktop today. :( That roof is'nt like that becuase of emergency crew its like that from the crash ! :eek: Was it anyone on here or does anyone recognize it ? 99spec front, quad read lights, leather interior Driver/passenger area was amazingly intact.

Just been down today to see my 300zx and just this second got it home :) . Put in £50 worth of petrol from north London and it went to about 3/4 , got home and the tank is on 1/2 which is amazing! Loved the drive such a nice car to drive only thing is no immoliser and no alarm which i need to get something done about (offers everyone! :D ) I will get some pics up tomorrow as it is horrible and wet outside but here are some pics of her in the day time

The time is fast approaching where i am going to be breaking my Blue TT for spares to make way for my new project. I have never completely dismantled a whole car before and have limited tools at present. My question is, what are the main tools i.e socket sizes, spanners etc etc, that are needed to completely dismantle my Z? I searched an old link and am looking at perhaps buying a Halfords Pro 150 piece socket set. Is this overkill? Would i be better buying specific sockets rather than wasting money on a big set? Also, i will need to remove the engine and Autobox from my new Z so that i can use the Blue Z parts for a manual conversion. I take it that i would be…

Charged me another 24.50 for the re test because they had to put it on the ramp to check the light's alignment that they could have done in the first place for a fiver.
