Hi all. As most know i have just got my zed back. Started the big clean today as it has stood out in all weather for a year. I have noticed alot of my black trims have started to split and show the chrome underneath. Also it happening on the front windows lower seal(along the bottom of the window). Are these an easy replacment or a nightmare. Also are they costly?? Cheers

Since im off work till monday i thought id get the wet and dry paper and metal polish out and repolish the lips on my wheels. Ive done it once before on my last zed whilst i was off with a dislocated knee. Done 2 wheels in two days and my fingers are absolutally killing me!!!! im one finger typing as we speak, and im even strugglin to hold my glass of southern comfort for any more than a few seconds before joint lock sets in. why is it that i feel i must do these things myself instead of paying someone else to do it for me  :mac1: :headvswal Ill post some photos (ouch) tomorrow to show (eek) my very painfull (ooh) work

Hi First of all question for Smithy is this tension rod ok im sure i installed it correctly with the bottom towards engine while off the ground? From this: Thanks to Dan at DTA for parts: To this: woo hoo While installing this found these rear speakers. Take it these are not standard. The ride height is not much different from before. The old shocks and springs must have been totally shot. In fact i think it maybe a little higher  Now just need MOT and i can put her on the road see what she feels like. After 4 wheel laser alignment of course. :hyper: Cheers

hey people, got a question about octane booster...... i have been looking on "robo's" website and read the article on octane booster titled "toluene" and found, on the website, after testing 13 octane boosters, which range in price from $5 to $70, that toluene came 2nd out of 13. it explains all the mixing ratios to get over 100 octane. i have tried toluene mixed with my fuel and can say i did notice some difference in power. has anyone tried toluene in their fuel? if so, what do you think? cheers people, alan.

To kick off Opie Oils new 12 part series of interesting oil facts we thought that we would address the statement “My oil has turned to water!” Let’s be objective and look at the actual figures involved here, emotional expressions such as ‘turned to water’ just will not do. Engineering is supposed to be a science afterall! So! Almost all modern jet engines run on 5cst at 100degC synthetic ester oil. Needless to say, some bearings will actually be running at a temperature of perhaps 200degC; so the true oil viscosity in these situations is in fact 1.5cst. This is really thin, much thinner than any car or bike engine oil even in a race engine. But is it …
