I went out to start my ZX this morning and the battery is completely dead....... .....bloody typical; I discovered the MOT runs out today and my local garage could have done it for me. Julia took the Rav to work this morning and the SLK's bonnet is too long to get close enough with my jump leads. D'oh:slap: I reckon it must be time for a new battery - it was flat-ish last weekend but I jump-started the Z and took it for a 20 mile drive. I didn't set the alarm either as that can drain a battery but I thought there may have been some life left in it. C'est la vie.... Richard:x:

Looking at courtesys website the hoses changed in 05/90, As my car is a '90 J spec how can I tell the month of manufacture? Or does it not really make much difference which hose I use?

Now in most cars this is a straight forward job. In the 300 this doesn't appear to be the case! I've bought a nice new wheel for my car but there does appear to be the necessity for a certain amount of butchery to the wiring for the cruise control etc. Does anyone have any tips for the removal and fitting?

My series 1 zed heater doesnt want to blow cold, i've replaced the pod, the sensors under drivers footwell + removed centre console. The flap in the middle opens up under 20 odd degrees + is fully open at 10'c. Never blows cold, it has been lukewarm on 40'c though. I have spent an hr searching+ cant get where the heater doors + mixer valve thingy (technical term) is :mac1:

Has anyone got the metal road off their car at the moment that they could take a photo of please? I've just spent the afternoon manufacturing one only to find the window now won't go down so it must be a specific shape  The technical manual isn't that helpful, if you could pop it by a ruler it'd be even more help to get the right size At least if i know the shape i can make it up tomorrow and sort it out. Cheers guys

Hi- I have recently picked up another Z. Don't know anything about the spec, the seller had no info on it. Requires some engine work. I have been trying to identify if the turbos are std or upgraded. The exhaust is 3" dia right from turbo elbows back- no cats. The turbos have 5 stud cast elbows. The actuators have 2 metal vac connection pipes although only 1 is connected. The engine is still in the car so access to see the turbos is limited. Ex manifolds look std Can anyone hazard a guess as to what they might be or how I could (easily) identify them Thanks Leo

God damn it. Just had a puncture on the rear. Can safely say now that the space saver wont fit over the brembo callipers and brake disk. Good job me lad works for ATS, had one of the vans on site by the time I had finished breakfast, did have to fork out £160 for a new tyre though. Got a bridgestone REO50, as luck would have it they were a recommendation on the MOT so did need new ones soon. Will be going back tomorrow to get the other one done. Darrell

Hey all linking the new forum, mucheasier to use......Well done Anyhow Just a quicky my mate has a set of the older style hks dump valves and is a but confused about something.... on the picture below there is a vacume connection coming from the rear of the valve (left of the valve in pic) which we know where to connect to. but the question is, on the top of the valve there is another connection we think, black plastic on the top of the valve what is this for? and does it need to be connected to anything? weve had a think but cant work it out, and we cant find any info online neither. cheers
