Put some of the trim back in my car today and sound deadened the rear quarters and transmission tunnel. Also ran an RCA cable down one side of the car, have to run a power cable the other side too for the amp at some point. Never been into ICE installs and I'm still not hugely, but I'd like a nice quality of sound. Sound deadening everything and running new cables should improve it a little. With a new headunit, amp and sub, it should sound ok. For some reason, someone replaced one of the Bose speakers in one of the doors, but ran new cables and an aftermarket speaker in the other side. This shouldn't be too much of a problem, as I can tie new cable to the old stuff …

Yesterday i almost slit my wrist. The offside sway bar mount bracket bolt just started spinning in the thread so i tried threading a bigger bolt in there but that didnt work ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh In the end i Chopped a bolts thread off screwed it in a bit then welded the barsteward in. Then mounted the bushing and bracket and put a nut on the thread instead. Im just hoping it doesnt affect anything. Has anyone else ever had this prob?

The oil temp has been getting a bit high on my N/A manual during track sessions or sustained high speed motorway runs. Is there a clean way to install an oil cooler? I'd rather not use a sandwich plate to plumb in the hoses. Also, are there any other potential causes for high oil temp? Oil and filter are fresh, and I only use top quality oil.

What sort of boost pressure can you run with wiseco pistons fitted and standard head gasket and rods, is 12psi ok? If I want to run 21psi are we talking eagle rods, wiseco pistons and cometic H/G. Obviously there will be different management, 550cc injectors as well.

Hi there, I´ve just "put my headlights in parts", want to paint the inside in carcolour. The passengersside projector lense is far away from an accurate fitting, I always thought it´s because of the accident, the last owner had. But now I see, its mounted well, nothing broken etc inside... Is it normal??? the lense is around 1cm outside of the middle(of the hole from the plastic I want to paint). It looks toward the middle of the car. The PS light shows near to the Dsidelighting point at night... The driversside fits well in the centre... Can someone please look at his Z and tell me? Thanks, Patrick

Has anyone insured there car without the "road risks" part while it is off the road ? My car wont be driveable for another month or 2 at least, but Im worried about theft or damage to it in the meantime but dont really want to pay for full cover when it wont be going anywhere. Do all insurance companies offer this sort of cover, how would it work with valuation...etc ? In the eyes of an insurer its not worth much when its in bits and does'nt go anywhere, but its worth a hell of a lot of money to me in Parts and time if anything was to happen to it ! David

With reference to this thread: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=103962&highlight=jwt+ecu+bit I cannot identify this ecu using the numbers/codes on it. Can anyone tell me if it's an 8 bit or 16 bit jobbie please :) Would the 'daughter board' refer to that board at the bottom? If so I guess it's an 8 bit ECU?
