What exaxctly do i need to lower my Z (other than springs and dampers :D )? Theres so many parts to the suspension so wondered what is really needed? I have poly bushed front tension rods and thats it. I'm guessing i need adjustable tension rods with rose joints on the front. Do i need the upper arms? And what about the rear. Just the adjustable upper arms?

Im in the middle of uprating my suspension and have stumbled across Megan Coilovers. However, they seem a little on the cheap side. I've always worked on the idea "you get what you pay for" and just wondered if anyone has had any experience with them, good or bad?

I recently ordered a set of wheels which the company have had problems supplying. Does anyone find that 19" wheels cause any problems with the handling of the car like tramlining etc? My original upgrade was to be a set of 18's but they have offered a larger alternative as they are in stock Thanks Rich

Just thought i'd let you guys and girls no, Ive just taken out breakdown cover with the AA and thought it was quite a good deal. £18.29 a month, and thats for Roadside, Relay, Homestart and Stay mobile, the best bit though is that they will repair the car with new parts up to £500, 5 times a year, all you have to do is pay the first £25 of each claim and you only need to pay 1 month when you take out the cover. It's handy, as my starter is on it's way out, they can pay for the new one and for it to be fitted. Might be worth a shot.

Ok, my car wouldn't start this morning. Its turning over fine but not starting. The only ot her time it did it was when i had connected up the battery but not disarmed the imobiliser. I locked / unlocked the car with the alarm button. Still wouldn't start. Checked the fuse for the fuel pump (as couldn't hear it) and its blown. Replaced the fuse and still no joy. The fuse isn't blowing? Now the alarm isn't working at all. I do have a light on my keyfob? could try another key fob but i'm at my girlfriends accross town. Could the fuel pump blow a fuse and the alarm?? Just waiting for it to get towed :cry: Any help much appreci…

I had my car up on axle stands last night sorting a boost leak (fixed - yay!) but I noticed that the area around the alternator/driver's side CV joint was a bit damp with oil (boo!). I've never noticed a single spot of oil on my drive or anything, but obviously still a little concerned. Any ideas what it could be?

After 18 months of ownership, and 6K spent on her, my love affair with the Zed is alas coming to an end....:cry: She's had: Cat 1 alarm fitted DVD player fitted Sparco hoses (250 miles ago) Tein tie rods (250 miles ago) Tein superstreet suspension (250 miles ago) Tein EDFC (250 miles ago) Apexi Induction kit (250 miles ago) Greddy Turbo timer Full respray (halcyon altantis is the colour) New dash kit (brushed aluminium finish not fitted) I blame the government and the oil companies for maintaining prices that are just completely unworkable for todays society. They may as well BAN the internal combustion engine altogether. Neverm…

Hi all. When I first start the engine, there is a tapping noise for about one second - that's been the case for the last 5 years off and on, but now it's started occurring after around 5 miles of warming up, but only at between 1800 & 2000 RPM. If I drive 200 miles, the noise disappears almost completely! I feared that it was the crank at first, but it doesn't seem to have got any worse since I noticed it about 500 miles ago. From memory, whenever a crank starts to knock, it goes down hill very quickly. BTW my AIVs were removed long ago. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all, Was tonight just having a quick check of the engine bay and noticed that two connections was not plugged into anything  Can you tell me what the two leads are for (White Arrows)? As i plugged one back in, but not the other as i cannot find where it plugs into. They both come from the main wiring loom (Orange Arrow). I have been driving the car for the last three months with them unpluged since I owned the Zed, so hope I have not done any harm! Thanks in advance.
