Is shot blasting the preferred method for cleaning up your cylinder heads? I'm going to be stripping mine down and rebuilding them but want them looking nice and clean. Whats the best method for doing this and how much does it cost per head. Thanks in advance.:)

Was driving saturday on motorway put my foot down and the car started to hold back and stutter i was in the fast lane made my way to the hard shoulder just as i did so it cut out. I noticed as the car hesitated the first time my hicas light came on but i topped this upthe day before so it was not low,anyway tried to start the car and it just turned over fast without starting for two turns of the key then it started. Went to get back on motoway again stuttered again but did not cut out ,so left it running for a min then drove the rest of the way home without any hesitation. Having taken my front bumper and wings off for some upgrades, my nuts are all dirty! Where can I get brand new nuts to fit the bumper and wings?

just got my car back from thor racing who fitted and mapped greddy emanage and prefec e01 boost con, heres the results: all ive done so far is super drager exhaust, apexi intake, turbo xs dump valves, and now the emanage and profec e01, running as 17psi, althou i think il mainly run it at 14psi and ive used the overtake boost button to run at 17psi, which ive set to toggle rather than on a time limit! just wondering how other ppls results compare with similar mods, i was quite impressed with the gains! oh and both results are at the wheels, he just forgot to cross out 'fly' on the left graph! the blue line is at 14psi, red is at 17 and yellow at stand…

Hello peeps. dont know if anyone can help me,but a couple months ago i had my cambelt changed by a well known zed garage. now the other day my mate,who is a mechanic,was taking a look at the engine of my zed(my motor being a '91 tt) and told me he noticed my cas was adjusted to the right as far as it would go. this means nothing to me but he told me that it was pretty strange for the cas to be in this position. he said it should really be adjusted bout half way. now im a bit worried,has the zed garage that changed my belt timed it wrong by any chance or am i worrying bout nothing? car is running fine by the way,cheers guys.

I've noticed after driving for a while my gear change gets a little stiff.... I'm thinking it could be a few things maybe the oil maybe the clutch although clutch is uprated and relatively new and perhaps as i've uprated to a short shifter perhaps it's done up a little tight and when it gets hot the rubber bushes expand and tighten the whole thing up..........maybe???? Any ideas??????????? Anyone???

hi all took the zx our for a spin this morning i was puzzled to find i had no heating suddenly then after i felt down the drivers footwell behind the centre consul its a little wet any ideas what this is? i think its the matrix if it is anyone know where i can get one and how much?

I've emailed an alloy repair centre in Carnwath (Scotland) to see if they can repair 2 alloys for the Zed. Here's a pic of one, the others the same but still has the tyre on. What do you think.

Hey all Iv'e been wondering about this for a bit now. My exhaust has a section in the middle which joins the two pipes and then separates into two exits again?? I've not seen this anywhere else should I get a section for the middle that keeps the exits separate? or is this ok? Appreciate any thoughts Cheers

Spent the weekend doing some upgrades on the Zeds. First off I redid the roof mouldings from this to this using this, (thanks to Greavous on the US site) The I did some soldering and made the clear rear side lenses into indicators using these At least now they are functional Tony:cool:

Right to cut a long story short i sent my dittery old man to get the two front tension arm bushes pressed out at my local nissan dealer who previously dealt with rover ( i used to own a rover coupe vvc prior to the zx and found them very reasonable for parts etc) anyway he phoned me and said it maybe tomorrow before he can do them but he would phone when done Fine i thought Then 1/2 an hour later i get a phone call saying they are done and i have a bill of £ 65 plus vat Am i paying dealer prices or should i go and give my frail dittery old man a slap for being so gullable:rofl:

Hi All, Just decided to start getting my hands dirty, lol Only takin 15 months :x: have taken a few pics of engine bay but seem to have afew bits missing, can anyone give me a clue?? Have marked a couple of pics with yellow arrows, what size bolt is meant to be there? Also my s/s fuel line is just laying over the engine, whats missing? since i come back from Z008 i've had a sort of rattling/slapping noise coming from the front of the car, once its warmed up its fine and has dissappeared and it also goes when i accellerate, i've checked the new belts for fraying just incase 1 of them has tethered and they are fine, any suggestions of what to look for would be great, i'd usually ask andy duff but its his weekend off :rofl:

What would be the perfect Optima battery to fit on a Z32 96 model? I only have a Gemini alarm connected 12v but after a while as I mentioned b4 and not driving it it kills the battery some folks tell me to get a Varta 80 AHM, and this guyw a stelling me to get an Optima and I would have the best battery in the market..but wich one would be suitable for a 300ZX???
