Passed Rayners Lane station this evening at 20:30. Saw you zip into the road next to Subway and then back a few minutes later. I stared right at you when you turned off. I was the guy in a suite in the bus stop trying to memorise you're plate. Its wasn't you again GiantSlayer?????

Hi all, I'm looking to UK register a Zed that's currently registered in the Isle of Man. It's a Jap one that had a previous UK reg before it went over. Just got the MOT (and i've got the IOM document that has its previous UK Reg) but does anyone know what else i need and what the proceedure is? Cheers all :)

On removal of the front wheels I have noticed (to my total dismay) My Impul shocks rubber gators are shagged. Past experiance suggests this is the end of their lives? So another job when the MOT is due.:headvswal

I jacked the car up today to undo the bottom bolts of the gearbox to remove the engine, anyway while it was up on the axle stands i noticed that the top of the front strut sticking out the side of the spring so i removed the suspension and it turns out they are Ohlins coilovers but the top has come away from the gas strut. Is there any way of repairing this as they seem quite new. I'll post a pic in a minute but it looks like the top had little ballbearings in the groove to hold it in place. Does this mean they are fecked? I hope not as its another expense i cannot afford to replace.:(

Hi folks, I'm looking to renew my insurance after 2 years off the road. Most of the companies mentioned on here seem to be dead ends for me 'can't quote you sir' or crazy money. I don't get it...my details are as follows: 38 years old 5 years NCB 1990 Jap TT manual Second vehicle, no more than 5K miles per year Value - virtually nil! Parked on private driveway. Cat 1 alarm/immob Mods: 550cc injectors AVC-r Exhaust Intake FMIC hybrid tubs NISTune programmable ECU daughterboard (chip) Nothing extreme by any means! If any of you have similar mods and reasonable insurance, I'd be most grateful if you could advise of the company …

Just bought a Strosek (or strosek style) bumper of a fellow member, when i got it, its quite heavy and superb quality of construction. It is FG though, so was just wondering whether anyone knows if it is a genuine strosek or not??? Oh and BTW i believe it came off an original Strosek kitted car ;) If someone needs another pic to identify it, let me know and i will post it up :) NOTE: The pic of a label is on the back of the nose panel, can't really make it out, especially the words on the right side, infact its barely viewable especially in the picture. Anyone know? :)

Hi Guys and Gals, I'm hoping you experts out there can help me ? This is my first cry for help by the way.I've managed to cure both the error codes I had (13 and of course 34) but every time I give her a bit of toe even briefly the cat light comes on even on overrun. Can feel no misfire but does seem a bit less power.I have stopped and taken each coil pack off on tickover and every one firing o.k. Can anyone suggest anything please ? Starting to really pee me off. TPS voltage perfect but tickover slightly high(850)and cant get base idle any lower. N/A Auto by the way 1989 import approx 45,000 on clock.Sorry for long thread but trying to get as much over to you experts as p…

Took my Z to Jimmer this weekend for him to rebuild the suspension. What a fab job he did of it as well. (pics to follow when the suspension has settled, geometry has been set and bolt-to-hub spacers at the front). BUT, just wondering; as we all know, suspension settles over time. Because I don't drive my Z a huge amount, will static weight still allow it to settle? IE, if it's sat in the garage with the weight of the car on it rather than it being driven with varying degrees of weight being applied. I guess it won't settle as quickly, but will it still settle out? I am waiting for it to settle a bit before I get my geometry set. The car is at a lovely ride heig…

I've just bought new pedal rubbers from MJP. Whilst mine showed no wear on them, they did have a set of Razo pedals on them which I removed. These had left nasty marks on them, so decided to replace them. Has anyone ever done this? Cutting them off I suppose is the best way to get them off, but what's the best way to refit? I warmed up some water and it does make them a little more malleable. Did anyone use grease to slide them on or do they pop on quite easily??

Is shot blasting the preferred method for cleaning up your cylinder heads? I'm going to be stripping mine down and rebuilding them but want them looking nice and clean. Whats the best method for doing this and how much does it cost per head. Thanks in advance.:)

Was driving saturday on motorway put my foot down and the car started to hold back and stutter i was in the fast lane made my way to the hard shoulder just as i did so it cut out. I noticed as the car hesitated the first time my hicas light came on but i topped this upthe day before so it was not low, anyway tried to start the car and it just turned over fast without starting for two turns of the key then it started. Went to get back on motoway again stuttered again but did not cut out ,so left it running for a min then drove the rest of the way home without any hesitation. Now the car cut out on me a few weeks ago and i changed the PTU S1 for the new type so what el…
