Yes to add to my woes I went and bent one of my rims and proberbly the trackrod to boot. Having had a serious run in with the mad Ex I was tacking it out on my little SWB NA. I was drifting through a section of bends not far from where i live. Left, Right, left and the final right hander as you come onto the straight. Did the usual let wheel feed it self through my hands to straighten up for the straight. Must have let too much gas off and over steered. Couldn't catch it before coming to contact with the curb with a thud. Worst of all this old guy was watering his garden. He'd obviously heard me screaching through the bends and watch my disaterous last man…

I keep seeing these things, and although I understand what they are trying to do, I cant see how an electric fan can add too much to the system, especialy when you start adding ICE, cooling and various other electrical draws to te system. Anyway, while looking for something completelydifferent I stumbled on this http://www.vintagebus.com/howto/e-ram/ someone actualy took time to do an unbiased test, and suprise suprise it worked. a little.

Had this problem for a while, changed the old bushes to poly ones as most here asid this would cure the problem......made no difference whatsoever so decided to take a closer look at the brakes. Checked all pistons individually and all are moving ok although on the left side i noticed the top clip that hold the top straight rod that runs left to right that holds the top of the spring that holds in the pad (still with me????) was not there and the pin was halfway out which also meant the spring was twisted...............put all this back with a new clip but not yet tested. Without sounding too desperate and still not tested yet, if it still does it what could it …

Cant post any pics as my card reader has died but I picked up the car on saturday and it is awesome so far. Couple of teething problems: 1. the revs die when stopping if the AC is on (I'm guessing this is because they have mapped the car with the AC off) 2. Second gear is a pig to get in (new short shifter fitted any ideas? too tight on the plastic bushes?) couple of other little things but all in all its awesome, I can only use 4k revs but it feels really smooth and tight, steering is pin sharp and the brakes are a huge improvement. The suspension is firm well stiff would be a better description but still compliant although could do with being softened …

For information: I dont know if anyone has tried this on a Z but it should now be possible with the technology out there, I was reading an interesting thread, see link. http://www.go-lpg.co.uk/Maserati.html Someone has put a 6 cyl Twin Tub Maserati on LPG, multipoint system. Just thought some people may be interested, obviously would not recommendgoing to just any LPG converter for such work!

After driving my Z for a couple of hundred miles, the radiator level gets a bit low and as soon as i stop the engine it leaks out of the bottom of the expansion filler tube where it joins the tank part. i cannot see anywhere else where it is leaking, i beleive there is a valve to the expansion tank which is not letting water back into the rad if i fill up the expansion tank. Anyone experienced this themselves ? I have read on here about members doing away with the expansion system altogether !?

Hi My speedo went wrong recently on my TT. I noticed the Hicas light came on soon after. This is obviously because of the speed sensor (I think). This makes the steering go heavier. The thing is though I prefer the steering heavier. Once I've sorted out the speedo, is there anything I can do to keep the steering heavier ?? David
