  1. Would the ECU store why it has done this? I was on the motorway, pulling hard in 4th gear and it reverted to safety mode for some reason. It was quite a hot day, but I had a tank of fresh V-Power in it. I really don't know why it would go into safety boost. It does it VERY occasionally (every few weeks or so). So it is a very intermittent problem and hard to trace. Anyway, I gets off the motorway, go down a DC and het stuck behind a car doing 50. So I pass him, and so does the Z4 behind me :D We wait at the lights, him on the left, me on right. He has his top down and his beautiful lady has her long blonde hair flapping all over the place in the li…

...please folks are there any alternatives to the hard thin water coolant pipes running off the tubs as i got a couple of pinholes and thought there maybe something less likely to pinhole in the future also when struggling to remove the blasted egr nut on the passenger tub manifold (so i could blank it off) some swarf dropped into the manifold...what can i flush / clean with (carb cleaner...WD40...plus gas?)..i guess a few particles may find their way into the tub but dont want to bugger the tub by using the wrong cleaning method i thank you chris

On my way home from leeds this lunch time and came up against a z4 on the M1, looked as though he wanted to test the speed so away we went, to cut a long story short, the zed hammered the z4 over and over, blasted away from him for about a mile or two, then slowed down to let him catch up, then gave him another chance, and he got battered again, so much fun, he came off the m1 at the same junction an pulled up along side me at the lights and commented on how well it looked and how well it went round bends where he had to brake, and he wasnt expecting to get blown away so many times.:bow::bow:

I passed a black Z heading slowly east on the M4 (lane 1), before junction 15 (Marlborough) around 2ish this afternoon. I think the reg number ended in PCE, the driver was bald-ish (no offence, I am as well!!) I slowed down but couldn't wave as I was concentrating on not hitting the black Range Rover Sport crawling along at 69mpg in the middle lane. I was in a black Merc SLK. Anyone here - perhaps on the way to/from Z-tech? Richard:cool:

im thinking about some sideskirts - as ive never had them on my Z before i need to ask, how much do they 'lower' the car by? i ask because im pushing my luck just getting into the driveway and im worried i'll ground the sideskirts if they come down below the standard skirts too much.

  23. Hi - My Zed's just failed it's MoT:cry: Main reason was "Nearside front steering rack gaiter split". Any advice on where's the best place to buy one? Also an 'advisory' that the fuel pipes are corroded. Is it a big job to change them?
