WHAT A PAIN IN THE A**E, i took me about 2 hours to fit 1 yesterday and its only stuck on, because of where the alarm led is and the immobiliser back up point is i had to drill a hole through it after sticking it on then file it to the shape of the hole, then to top it off when i tried to open the ashtray it would'nt open cos it was catching on the side so i had to rip it off and i still aint finished, the dashboard is in bits and i started to loose my rag with it so i decided to give up and finish it another day before i kicked the car :headvswal

For a week now I've had a metallictapping sound on the top half of the engine.... I was 99% sure it was the hyd tappets after doing a search on here (quite a lot of threads on tapping noises) I flushed the engine(Forte) changed the oil ..... still a tapping sound at around 2,000 rpm - 3,000 rpm not on tick over... or when giving her full throttle, Put in some Wynes oil treatment tappet stuff. Now this morning I filled her up and went for a bit of a drive......:hyper: and the tapping has seemed to have stopped....... Could it have been the last load of petrol was "shite" and it was a "Pinking" noise:headvswal

Hey all my relay box is pretty crusty now, most of the relay clips have snapped off and some of the connectors have snapped off the box. Is it hard to replace? does the associated loom need to be replaced with it as a single item? Cheers Ron

Hey all My Ac fan is not kicking in when I turn the ac on?? I got her back this morning finally from the re-build and had her re-gassed and all work fine except the AC fan wont come on? so the pressure in the system starts to get dangerously high, worked dandy before the re-build. So any guesses or common problems I should look for? I had a look at the 10amp fuse in the fuse and relay box on the right hand side of the engine bay and thats all good. There is no relay in the Sub Fan socket?? is this missing I can't remember if it was there before? Anyhow any ideas much appreciated. Cheers

Went for a nice drive after cleaning my 300 today and was at a set of traffic lights when a bmw m3 pulled up next to me a 2002 model i think, he put his window down and started to laugh at my car, well i dont mind people laughing but this seemed to get my goat up. he then started reving his car really hard. so i thought right then here we go, we are going to have some fun. anyway the lights turned green and off he went, back tyres alight, to be truthfull i cant be assed with all that, . well just down the road there was a copper. oh how i laughed when i went passed at 30mph and he was at the side of the road with the copper not looking to impresed at him while getting his…

I've noticed from many of your engine pics that some of you have had the rad fan cover removed. Just wanna know, does it improve the cooling if removed? Also if I wanted to remove it how can I do that? Cheers

Long story short. Finally got the autobox fitted I bought from a member on here (now banned) And there seemed to be a small vibration that started about at 1500rpm. Spoke to Phil at Blackmoor services and he said it could be a bent flex plate. Took it over to him yesterday and left it. He rang to say it wasn’t the flex plate. Picked it up this morning with the vibration still there but not as bad. Manchester to Leeds no problems. Pulled into my street and thought somebody had started a lawnmower in the car. Very loud metal to metal grinding sound in all gears even park and neutral although not as bad. Checked the fluid level and its fine and pink but does sm…

I have decided that I rather like the series 4 spoiler, does anyone know where i can get one and OR how awkward they are to fit to a tailgate, Holes wise do they use anything like the original foam effort? Or is it a major engineering job?
