Noticed lately, when cold, taking the foot off the accelerator, I can feel a slight hesitation, a very slight jerking sensation, and the other day came up to a junction, foot on the clutch, it reved to 2000rpm then dropped to normal, I have ordered new pcv's for it but could it be down to anything else. All is ok when warm. Can anyne shed any light on this?

I cant belive what has just happend, Im absoultly fooking fuming!!!!!!!! I live in a very quiet cul de sac, basically in the road no other cars park on the road as all the bungalows have driveways. My van is on parked on the grass outside my house and the two zeds are on the driveway. It is not the kind of road you just turn into, unless you live here. Ive just got home, as i drove towards my house there is a red crappy transit parked where i park my van. Didnt think much of it at first so i park about two houses away. One of those silly questions..........i was bored on the motorway and thinking how much air and fuel the Veyron uses on full chat. Got me wondering what the Z used up on full throttle??? So i thought i can't use 3 ltrs of air per rev so how many revs of the crank are there to a full 3l cycle?? :D

I saw a Black 300zx (Stock) on the A48 thursday 29th of may at 12:00pm heading north. I was heading south towards monmouth in my company van. I flashed you :) Anyone from here?? :D

I have a standard JDM 180kph instrument cluster with a 120mph face put on the front of it. I have seen a nice set of 300kph set of clocks on ebay. My question is this... Will the uk 180mph white face kit fit these clocks and be in the correct calibration? I am not sure because 300kph is 186mph and not the indicated 180mph on the clocks, so there is a chance I would be driving too fast..... do I buy them or not?:headvswal:headvswal

If I open the throttle slowly it will get there but any more than about half and the engine just dies, completely cuts out, foot off the gas and its OK again. Cut my boost to half a bar just to make sure it was not over boosting and its the same, no obvious air/boost leaks. Idle is fine if a bit high but then it always is, so its the same. Switched it off last time and it was sweet, started this time and this is happening, so guessing electrical????? Feels like an old fashioned carb engine when its too cold to run without the choke, if you know what I mean? ie running too lean. Any ideas before I start to pull things off? MAF maybe? I was reading "Garage and MOT Professional" today and there was a little article in the staff section with "keiths mate" who drove a white Z who had put all new "jap spec" adjustable suspension on. They were moaning about the struts looking all shiny up to the point they reach the chassis under the hood. Anybody one here?

I bought a rad off a member and when I got home realised it was different to mine. My TT one has 2 outlets on the passenger side for the oil cooler, the one I bought has 2 more on the other side. Can I just loop some hose between the 2 extra outlets on the drivers side as I don't need them?

Remove the solenoids at the front and do the usual with the PS pump. THEN, jack up the rear of the car, undo the boot clamps at either end of the HICAS rack, slacken the locknuts and wind the stroke stoppers out on either end so they are touching the inner balljoints. Re-tighten the lock nuts and you've saved yourself some dosh :D Not tried this yet but I will be doing - there's plenty of thread on the stroke stoppers and they're not under any load....

Are these thought of as better quality than the Venom injectors?

Tried to do this at the weekend and was totally stumped. Does any one know how to get it off with out using an impact driver as there is no room? More to the point how do I tighten up an Unorthodox Racing Pulley? Cheers in advance, Andy

I tried to replace my standard alternater pulley with a lightened one at the weekend and couldn't figure out how to stop it from spinning in order to undo the nut. Is there a trick I am missing here? oh just remembered I need to figure out how to undo the crank pulley on a auto too. Better do another post!!

hi guys. at what temperature would the correct mixture of water and anti-freeze for the Z actually freeze? i put about 100ml in a plastic tub, shoved it in a -15 degree freezer and it's frozen solid. i also still think my running temp is a touch too hot. would too thin a mixture cause it to freeze too early and get too warm? sounds like ive just answered my own question but i want to know your thoughts about it! :)

I need new rear shocks [poss all round] is it worth sticking to Oe or go uprated what do you guys think Just replaced springs with Ebeich so just struts req regards Dave:confused:

mine have gone on drivers main beam. tried the toy car metal cogs before and they dont work that well. just phoned nissan and they only sell them as complete headlights so needless to say that will be well expensive. Are there any alternatives to make the adjusters work or does anyone have any good cogs that havent broken?

Hi All, Seems ive got a water leak and have pinpointed it to a small hose at back of block - Can anyone suggest best way of doing this, do i need to drop off exhaust? (See attachment pic - pic for pipe location info only, engine still in car). Thanks. -Stu

Tried posting this up on the aus300zx forums but didnt get much help there, which has got me a little worried as i dont have a horn or cruise control right now:(. Problem: Well basically my horn/cruise control has stopped working completely. Ive noticed it will work on and off and now its not working at all. I first started noticing this problem when the cruise control would have a couklpe of seconds delay when activating into cruise mode, which at first i didnt think much of, but now the cruise control wont activate at all and i think its becuase the horn isnt earthing properly and it being all linked. It has been like this for a couple of weeks now and i havent …
