Got the blue ZX booked in for this Friday afternoon, last outing it made 502 BHP at the fly so hoping for a bit more this time... as I have: 1) Replaced intake hoses that were leaking 2) Drastically improved the intake set-up!! 3) Eliminated a few boost leaks here and there 4) Removed the carbon cannister tank which was leaking 5) Removed the aircon 6) Quality Silkolene Pro S oil has gone in 7) Installed Splitfire coilpacks 8) New Iridium plugs I'm hoping it will make the 570 BHP that was acclaimed in Japan, time wil tell:) Ps will be taking a vid of the dyno session as it will have atleast 3/4 runs!!

Hi all, I have just bought the Gt28rs turbo's for my new engine. I have been advised the following off another site has anyone heard of this before?? they are brilliant turbos for their size, i love mine. make sure you use the water cooling though. the GT series garrett turbos have a smaller than normal oil shaft so rely more on water cooling than oil cooling. i have heard stories of people just using the oil cooling and got away with it. but its simple enough to rig up the water cooling so may as well fit it. i just T'd into the heater pipes on my car.... makes for a toastie warm heater too Cheers

Ok today decided to fully fit the switches to the Indiglo dials and under the steering rack was a red and black wire which led to the top side of the unit which the ignition barrel sit on. Now the Black one was connected but the red one was not? When connected I could no longer get the key out even when pressing the release switch??? It only happens when the red wire is connected again. Is there a reason that it does not release my key lol.

My drivers door has just decided to start dropping. Has anyone else had this problem:headvswal Looks as if its a wing off job. Has anyone got any hints on this as its a heavy door to start playing with. I think it may have something to do with the shunt i received a few weeks ago. And the brakes have now decided to start squealing really loud. Ive looked and have pad wear left but think they may have become glazed also got leaky Targa seals aswell. Not bad for only having the car back since feb LOL:rant: Not giving up though!!!:)

Also wondering, would it be wise to lower the rear of the car with just the springs as I just want to alter the stance of the car? Your opinions will be most appreciated.

My white 92 UK 300, which I've had since 94, failed its MOT big-time. (It's done around 140k miles, I've done a 110 of that, as the second owner) The garage I took it to, are very experienced with 300s, having long history with Nissan, and Datsun before that. They've sold a bunch of 300s and always serviced my car, seemingly knowing them inside out, doing a good job. But they quoted £2,700 for welding alone saying the bottom of the car was rotten, and that a lot of metal needed replacing, and to do that they would have to pretty much remove the interior of the car. So with other stuff, could be talking much more than that. * So any thoughts/suggestion…

Is it possible to raise the suspension , even only about 5/10mm .........my car was on lowering springs when i got it and when i fitted 18"s on it there was hardly any room under the arches so i got a pair of standard springs, which have improved it a bit but everytime i hit a small bump or pot hole the tyres catch the arches + if any1 sitting in the back it rubs constantly...... :headvswal

I am going to get bolt-on spacers for the front of my car to kick the rims right out into the arches. Rears sit perfectly. I've found out that with a 25mm - 30mm drop on the front springs, I can actually get away with a +20 offset. Currently, front wheels are 45 on an 8.5J width. If I go for 20mm spacers, this should give me a +25mm offset? That right? Si

Getting to the point of giving up now :) Sounds like i'm getting a fluttering noise from around the top of the right hand side of the engine on tick over and low revs. Only really materialised since I have had the loom replaced. Wondered if is related or another problem rearing its ugly head. Also when giving the throttle a little tickle the left hand exhaust appears to be sucking alot of air in. Looks like the bottom of the rad is damaged also, seems to leak when it wants too. both pipes are brand new and have been checked so it's the only other thing I can think of. Any help appreciated as always! Dave.

Hi all Since posting the symptoms of my auto box fault a few weeks back, I know know what is wrong. Basically it's fooked! I have no 2nd and o/d is questionable. Therefore I have 3 choices: A full rebuild (by an experienced chap who has been in the auto box business for 30 years and knows his stuff - plus he came highly recommended) for £1200. A manual conversion (I know - but no manual vs auto comments please) A second hand 'box (which may last 10 years or 10 minutes) Your opinions welcome please! Richard:)
