Car wouldn't start this morning...First time ever!!! Anyway the fuel pump fuse is dead. It's a weird shape fuse though. Where can i get one. It's 30 amp??? It's green and square with spade connectors.. late for work.AAAAAAARRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH

Hi all. When I first start the engine, there is a tapping noise for about one second - that's been the case for the last 5 years off and on, but now it's started occurring after around 5 miles of warming up, but only at between 1800 & 2000 RPM. If I drive 200 miles, the noise disappears almost completely! I feared that it was the crank at first, but it doesn't seem to have got any worse since I noticed it about 500 miles ago. From memory, whenever a crank starts to knock, it goes down hill very quickly. BTW my AIVs were removed long ago. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

perfect timing for harman kardon to release a new range of infinity kappa speakers as i need a set for the rears... and thank god they actually look nice this time round as they will be visable inside on the rear quarters!... compared to the old style kappas which looked all space age and chavvy :rofl: they are cosmeticly very nice imo... anyway, i want some of these yesterday, is any1 in the know of when these will be available to buy in the uk? there are a few select places in america that sell em but the cost of shipping makes it ott... cheerZ

Hi all, Was tonight just having a quick check of the engine bay and noticed that two connections was not plugged into anything :confused: Can you tell me what the two leads are for (White Arrows)? As i plugged one back in, but not the other as i cannot find where it plugs into. They both come from the main wiring loom (Orange Arrow). I have been driving the car for the last three months with them unpluged since I owned the Zed, so hope I have not done any harm! Thanks in advance.

Just prepared my balance bar and rocker covers for painting Thinking of either a nice glossy black finish or a glossy cherry red. What kinda paint should i buy? will i need a laquor? What colours would you choose? Im also painting my timing belt covers... but again not sure on a colour yet and what paint to use and laquor. thinking about polishing my CAS too heres some pics: rocker covers/balance bar block sprayed but scott: and heres a nice pic of my cracked ring on number 4.

im thinking about an exchange engine for my twin turbo no one locally can identify the fault, and im ready to giv up zed world advertise drive in/ out engine exchange for £1500 seems like the cheapest and easiest way forward also which bits do you keep as i hav new turbos and a few other bolt on aftermarket stuff such as silicone hoses, bovs, 1bar chip etc any knowledge about it please? before i contact them cheers ade

Hi all, As my engine is nearly complete i was wondering if an Lsd will be alot or help to keep the power on the road? I will be looking for around 500-550ish bhp do you think this will be a good idea? If so does anyone have any advise on what 1 to go for Cheers

Yay, dont actually know what the problem was and I basically did a bit of everything to try and erradicate my non start problem. And turned they key and she fired up :) About time. Now i need to put her back together as there are screws, wires and panels everywhere

I've just fitted my clocks, dash pods ect. after getting them back from Graham (Groover-Excellent job he's done and highly recommended). This is the first time these clocks have been fitted in my car as i removed the jap ones for UK, as the connections were different on the back i just swapped all the dials from the UK set into the jap cluster and i also removed the de-limiter that was fitted. All lights work as they should, except the speedo go's up to 20mph when i turn the ignition key and i know this shoulldn't happen as there is no engine in the car lol. What could be causing this? Is it because i've removed the de-limiter or could it be the clocks i bought are fa…

The inside edges of my front tyres are wearing faster than the rest of them. Any idea what could cause it? I've got 18" wheels and standard suspension. I've got some KYB shocks with lower springs I was going to get fitted soon possibly with a camber correction kit too. Any idea if tyres worn like this are dangerous? Cheers folks! :dance:

As far as I know, my zed's running standard boost. I know it's been chipped (Jeff at Zedworld has had it on Conzult) and I have an induction kit, cat back and turbo timer, but apart from that I thought it was standard. However - when I put my foot down it boosts (smoothly) all the way up to just below 7 mm/Hg (it's a Jap import) on the stock gauge. Is this normal or am I running higher boost? I didn't think anything of it until I read an article on the Aussie 300ZX site the other day that said stock boost i.e. 9 PSI = 4.3 mm/Hg

Well, as of this year's quote im now 25, 6 points, exhaust, wheels and a uk 300zx TT (lets not tell about the induction/chip/boost controller etc etc :) ) Ltd to 6000 Miles and garaged in sussex (not on the street in london :x:) Anywhoo, its £804.93 :cry::cry: Cheepest i can find at the mo through Admiral. Adrian Flux were a similar price, I'm not after suggestions of companies to try, just sharing my missery, Tax is up in 2 months too !!!!! :slap:

Just out of interest for those of you with after market Gauges, can you tell me what your temp is once you have been driving for 5 - 10 mins. i.e. what temp does your guage read when it gets to a point and just sites there. Also what cooling mods are you running at this temp ?

I know this was a long time ago, but I never did get round to fitting my autometer gauges that some of us got in what has been named "the worst group buy on the history of the 300zx forum" http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=34023&highlight=autometer+group+buy. Anyway, long story short. I've fitted them all in now (yes two with nice silver edges the other with autometer written around the edge, never did get this sorted, turned out to be too much of an issue). Water adapter fits nicely. temp gauge wired in and working fine. Boost gauge wired in and working fine. Oil pressure gauge - wired in but have not connected the orange wire to the sende…

Hi, anyone tell me what the speed is at 4500rpm in 5th, my speed sensor gives up at around 110kph cos I passed PC Plod with camera on an A road at this speed - want to know how much s**t i'm in :cry:

ive got a problem with my gearbox its as if it has shut down the fault code is 54 which says short between gearbox and ecu any idears on where to start could this be something to do with the alarm/immobiliser also no power light and as if its stuck in one gear and gear lever wont release when foot brake on help if you can cheers

Hi guys The sills on my car have been munted by the previous owner so instead of trying to fix them I thought I'd just slap some skirts on. I was keen on keeping the old front end so would be keen on seeing any kitted zeds with the standard front end. Cheers
