Thanks. p.s Its a diy so powder coating os out the question.

Anyhow currently she is needing some work to pass MOT, Mainly new sills at the back, some suspension work. However I have a problem, every specialist garage that I knew in Essex has closed! Does anyone know of any garages within Essex/South east! Many thanks Chris

Well have decided to change the Gear box oil on my 91 NA jap spec, now I have read that it has no drain plug so have to take the whole underside off and will aloow me to check the filter also and replace if need be, I am doing this because I checked the transmission fluid today and its more of a pinky orange and had some dirt on the dip stick as to being red......... Now the question is I dont want to go pouring the most expensive stuff in so what it my best bet? and what capacity am I looking at as I red 11 litres somewhere then 9 and finally 4-5 on a usa site so am a little bit confused :S Any advice would be great :D Cheers Paul

  8. Are all VG30DETT engines the same from 1989-2000? Also i assume that auto and manual engines are the same? I think there was a change in the VG30DETT from 93-94 but what did they change? I'm after a engine for a 1990 basically. Thanks.

Done a bit of a search but haven't come up with anything. I'm going to try and put together a thread about bolt sizes, yes I know it's not the most interesting of threads but it's going to be one for the FAQ section. Everyone needs bolts at some stage whether it's changing them over for super bling bolts or just replacing broken/missing ones. So I think it will be very useful if I can get something together which covers every bolt in the car. This is going to be a work in progress but I'm sure will be very useful and work out a lot cheaper if we know the size of the bolts we need. That way rather than buying Nissan bolts we can pick them up from screw fix or the…

I know ive tried to put my car up for sale on here twice before but bottled it, but this time its for real and im going through with it. due to the cost of fuel these days ive decided enough is enough and i have got to sell,. im gutted because to be fair in the 5 years ive owned it, its never let me down, passed every MOT, i couldnt have wished for a better car, plus it looks shit hot lol. just fitted new coilovers aswell :headvswal anyway with in the next few days there will be a very reluctant advert goin up in the for sale section. hopefully if fuel prices drop(which i very much doubt) i will gladly buy another zed, but unfortunatley for now looks like im gon…

Hello, Firstly I'd like to thank you technical guys for helping me with my tick over problem, where my 92 turbo was idling at around 1700-2000rpm when she had warmed up. I spent ages checking connector contacts and the PTU thingy to no avail and as I was totally losing hope I read about an old thread about the Idle Solenoid Valve sticking (the thought of removing this was not a happy one). Someone (can't remember who) suggested removing one of the rubber tubes going to the solenoid valve and spraying some WD-40 in to lubricate it. I tried this and it's sorted !!! Thank-you guys. On the same topic, is there anyway that this sticking solenoid valve could …

I have just had my PCV valves replaced and I cannot believe how much better the car feels:dance: I bought the kit 3 years ago but never got round to getting it fitted. When I collected my Z on Monday the mechanic said it's made a difference to the performance but I didn't really expect it. He showed me the old ones and they were all gunked up! The car now feels a bit more lively and the smoking on idle has gone - good news there as I thought one of the turbo seals was on its way out:dance: Richard:smw:

well, the dipstick keeps working its way out (only a cm, or so) and ive noticed a bit of blue smoke on start up on the morns, its lookin like an engine rebuild in the near future (or swop for a good engine), im also hoping to get some coilovers and a new bumper in the very near future so ive decided it may be staying a bit longer than i thought, who knows if i do get this stuff done i may fall back in love with it:(

i have a chance of buying a really nice set of wheels at a good price, but this is my problem, the wheels are the same size front and rear, 8" wide with 265 40 18s tyres, atm im using 255 40 17rears and 235 45 17 the sons at home are saying the same size all round wont suit the shape of my car, plus the wheels im thinking of are off an r33gtr which is 4 wheel drive but the z works better with a staggered size i will be guided by the advice of experts on here, thanks:D
