  2. Hi all, Taking on my first proper mechanical project on the 300zx that I've acquired and it's going to be sorting out the radiator that has a hole in it. I'm thinking of installing a manual Radiator and then installing an Oil Cooler for the gearbox oil. Looking at something like this for the oil cooler: It seems a fairly simple enough job, but there are a few things I'm hoping someone can help with: 1) When I put the oil cooler in, should I top that up with autobox oil first or let the car run and top up based on the oil level? 2) The oil cooler kits that I've seen come with AN10, AN8, or AN6 hoses. Does anyone know which AN size would be …

    Does anyone know if the glass is always the same tint all around? I have blue glass all around except the front windshield and t-tops. I'm 99% sure that the font windshield has never been replaced. Mike

    Got a bent lower arm on the rear drivers, what sort of money am i looking at for a replacemnt? I can fit it so no labour costs, 2nd and 3rd poc anyone know what they are?   9. Spotted a nice black Z today with an interesting nose panel in heading from Beford East Yorkshire heading across the A165 into Skipsea. Number plate might have said "Gaz" or something similar. Was it you? My rents have a caravan there and my Z is due back on the road next week and I'll def be visiting in it!

    Back at the start of the month I picked up a new project. (Gallery of full size pics Here) Drove straght down to Wales after work and arrived back home early on Thursday morning with it. Ok, so 2am is not the best time to be taking pics :D. Heres a few more in daylight. She's a JDM '99 NA in midnight purple, has already had a manual conversion and a few extras (EGR delete, HID's, Japspeed exhaust) but is in need of a bit of tidying up (and some turbos :D)

    hello zed folks, some might remember me, and some wont, ive been on this site for long time, was even part of the moderator team, yep im still around, yep still got the 94 TT, now have no rust what so ever on it, new sills, arches, anything that was rusty has gone, and been replaced with new. just in process of flat sanding the original oem TT bumper so the whole car is smooth, then to get it prepped for full respray then returned to its full glory. still working on other guys zeds local to me, sorting there issues out etc, and trying to locate original rare bits for the zed, and re trimming all leather interior stuff with new (i got two spare full hides and n…

    Hi guys Well im doing a bit of research for a temp fix on the heater in zebedee. The temp control has never worked but the fan works fine on all speeds. Lee dent did a bit of troubleshooting last time she was there relays all good fuse box ok no wet the control pod swapped out for another with no change to problem so we think its the motor that controls the air gate thats gone. As the temp is stuck on full hot it makes driving in warm weather even with everything switched off quite uncomfortable so i want to try and get under the dash and manually pull the air gate into a cooler position. Does anyone have any photos or info as to where the gate and motor is so i have …

  19. Im getting ready for some new pads in my 350Z gold brembo front calipers. I have been using a set of Porterfield R4S compound which have been superb. I was going to change to some Ferodo DS2500s as the Porterfields are not readily available in the UK and are quite pricey. Price is not an issue tho.I just need a pad that works on track 100% and is acceptable on the road. Does any one have any thoughts/suggestions?? Also under consideration are.... Hawk HP+ (not HPS) or Project MU HC800 (not NS400) or EBC Bluestuff.

    Hi everyone, One of my Ignition coil packs has failed and I need a new one, my Zed is running 392bhp is it best to keep the coil packs standard original Nissan part or is aftermarket ones any better if so what are the best makes out there and I maybe upping the power in the future what is the best option I have standard or aftermarket.     Will this fit my 1995 Z... Airbag of course... I'm about to pay, we agreed upon a price and would my airbag components transfer to that wheels airbag? Read his description of item please! Momo Autech It's a nice looking wheel and supposedly will fit since it's an airbag aftermarket made for Nissan. The design of the grips are nice and it'll be nicer upgraded looking feature too & have it wrapped if needed vs wrapping OEM. What is your opinion? Is this a direct bolt on wheel without modification since it's a Nissan steering wheeL Thanks!!!

    As most of you know, I have a pair of Recaro Speed seats fitted in my Zed. These were actually an option during the Z32's production run and, as such, are sort of "period correct." What are peoples' thoughts on changing them for a newer model of Recaro...? Maybe a pair out of an Evo 9, or even an Evo 10...? Should I "modernise" the cabin, or leave things as they are to retain a little authenticity (well, as authentic as red leather can be!)...? Go.....

    As I have dropped the rear sub frame I would like to renew as much as possible. One of the things are the 2 CV half shafts (drive shafts). In the us there is a company who remanufacture them unfortunately they stopped doing so for the 300zx. Do any of you know if there is a company in the UK who has new or remanufactured ones?     I've bought a Zed thats had a light(wish) front knock and is now suffering from a starting issue. Basically its starts for a few seconds and then stutters and cuts out, the engine seems ok when it is running so, I suspect that its a vacuum issue or something along those lines. While investigating I noticed that the recirc valves have been removed and capped on the inlet pipes but, there are still open pipes on both sides coming from the tubs in front of the rad. Could this be the cause of the issue? The car was an insurance write-off so maybe its been raided and the after markets BOVs have been removed. This pic might explain it better...
