I got this mad idea about buying the Nissan President that Paul@SWZparts spotted on Petrolheads, and contacted the owner, via e-mail. I tell you one thing, it looks damn fresh from the pics and will be put through the MOT. 150,000kms on the clock. To think I put €4000 into the 530D by just replacing the knackered engine a couple of months, £1195 is not bad at all. As a few have said the engine it worth more.

okay everyone, my bros got an ECU with a "Suzuka esprit" sticker on it, i have opened it up but i cant see if there is a chip or not because the upper board thingy has a screw with a knackered head. Anyone heard of the company? and anyway of telling it is chipped without taking out that upper board thingy? Also have a HKS F-CON V piggyback ECU which was on my brothers old Zed but there is a sticker on it (from factory) with ECR33 (some japanese writing) RB25DET. Any ideas as to why it is there? oh almost forgot at the side opposite where the wires go into the ecu is a little screw type thin which has japanese wrinting on it, you cant twist the screw two ways but…

Hey everyone! Im new here, obviously, and im thinking of getting my self a 300zx:) I have always love the looks of them, yet i always seem to end up buying something else when i change cars! I started my japanese sports car ownership with a honda crx, then moved to a supra, and now im the proud owner of a gto. all of them are great cars but i think its time to get the 300 i always wanted:) So i was wondering if you could advise me on garages? i live in the cambridge area and one thing i have found annoying about the gto in particular is the closest trustworthy garage that knows anything about them is in potters bar london! Are there any 300 owners around my…

Fitted the steering wheel! (thanks SMW1:bow:) Had a problem, of my own making. Took the old one off in about 2 mins, came off easily. Put the new one on and did it all up tight, went to fit the horn and realised I hadn't put the wire on:mac1: Undid the nut and the wheel wouln't come off and all my pullers wouldn't fit. in the end I had to take the wheel off the hub and all the plastic surrounds and was able to conect the wire:hyper: Love the wheel though and there's no light on so all is good:nana2:

I just started wondering after reading so many posts on how to fix this n that, whats this noise, wheres me performance gone, me pistons are coming out me exhaust, nasty smoke filling the street etc etc, how many of us have a zed that is running mint, surely some of them run well and go like f@@@k, i realise that it would be a boring forum if it were just full of posts like, "zeds fine again today"ha ha.. so is your zed running right or are they all problems like mine????????

Right, I'll try and make this make sense... I seem to have drastically improved my dodgy idle (fast/slow fast/slow) by fitting some new IC/intake pipes. (I'll come back to that fast slow crap in a minute)... It sits nicely at 750rpm, although does slightly randomly fluctuate +/- 50rpm, is that normal? But, if I press the accelerator as gently as I can, it jumps from 750 to 1500, it is impossible to get anything in between. Now, referring back to the fast slow idle, if I adjust the TPS, at the moment it is fully counter-clockwise, as even the very very slightest movement clockwise, sends the idle to 1500rpm, exactly as it was doing with the dicky idle. I c…

Hey all. was having a poke around under the bonnet of my new z when i noticed there was a pip that wasn't connected to anything. It looks like a boost/wastegate solenoid. it is on the battery side just in front of the battery and bolted to the inner wing. there is 2 pipes coming out of the top of it but the bottom of the 2 pipes isn't connected to anything. i will try and get a picture up later on. any ideas?

Last year i had a small accident in the Z, i have replaced the bumper, o/s wing and headlights, but it looks like it has done a bit more damage and probably needs the bit that the headlights are mounted on replacing, or just straightening maybe. trouble is, dont really have the money to get it looked at and cant really afford to keep the car if its not being used. if i sell it as it is, i wont get anything for it and if i get it fixed and then sell it i still may not get a lot for it either. thought about breaking it up and selling parts, but i dont have anywhere to keep the car if i did that. any thoughts from the guys and gals on here would be greatl…

Hi guys , just looking for some advice as im looking to resurrect my 300zx for this summer and looking at getting some engine work done, just not too sure what my options are yet: My nissan has been off the road for the past couple of years, she was smoking quite bad everytime i pulled up at traffic lights etc and it was left idling and whilst it was off the road i was going to get it fixed however i got the chance of a wide arch kit and a few other body parts for half price last winter so i decided to fit that and have it looking mint, then start on the engine once the body was done. That time has almost come and i was wondering who/where is best for me to take…

Done a search on this, but cant seem to find much on the actual removal of the old wheel. Is there a couple of screws on the back which you remove and then pull the centre off. Then get a large socket on the nut and job done??? after dont touch anything behind it, could I mark it with tip-ex to have a reference point? Thanks:)
