hi just wondering why my standerd car boost gauge has got -7 to +7 when every other one has got -14 to +14

Hi all. Can anybody let me know what size the copper washer is on the sump drain plug please? i havent got a nissan garage local to me:cry: I've got a nissan oil filter off the net but no copper washer! Thanks :D

My main concern about switching from my Scoob into a drool worthy Zed is fuel economy. I dont get paid THAT much so would have to look into this. I currently get about 31/32 mpg from my scoob. I'm a VERY conservative driver with a light right foot. Most of my driving is A/B roads when commuting to work, as I dont go out much apart from that. I'm not looking for "on your bike, son" kind of comments as to obtaining that kind of MPG, but still.... Try me, if you become very conservative, what can you get out of them? I'd be interested to hear the comparisons between the nasp and TT models Tim

ive done lots of work by myself (and help from my dad) on my zed, from fitting new sills to simply changing a radiator, i wish i had took some pics and put some how to do threads up, ive done some things that people may want to do themselves like-changing rear inner and outer balljoints the easy way, changing a radiator support bracket the easy way, doing my hicas eliminator bar and being able to sort out the pipework easily when i was given wrong bits (no ones fault), would have been good to help others out but as im planning on getting rid of the car, im hoping nothing else major needs doing, it shouldnt ive done it all lol anyone doing anything should do some…

HI, How do I empty my fuel tank? I thought about simply putting a hose in the tanks and doing it the old school way but I dont want a mouth full of fuel so are there any alternatives? I tried to locatre my fuel return line but got confused has anyone got a picture of which one it is as theis is prob the safest way.....

Hi Buddies, Ive developed a quite loud whirring noise which seems to be coming from around the A/C Compressor. It doesn't change if A/C is on or off, but does go up and down in pitch with engine revs.Cant see anything else nearby that could cause it.I know its a long shot when you cant hear it yourselves, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Sounds a little bit like when we used to put a bit of cardboard through pushbike spokes to sound like a motorbike.:D Thanks Guys.:bow:

There are over 2300 members on here, a majority are one time users, a fair few are subscribed. i check the site virtually every day, if you take the 2300+ plus members, its only a small percentage that post up stuff. some talk sense, some dont, some just wind others up,some only ever ask for advice, some sit on the fence and just watch whats going on. when I plug in my dipped beam HID lamp on the passenger side both main beams come on but very low (about 5-10w of power) minute I disconnect HID all is ok - HID not coming on either that side - due to it being bloody freezin out and not being able to feel my fingers I cant swap test ballasts as they are not in an accessible poosition and at moment cant test if 12v is coming out to lamp coz I have left multimeter at work - didnt know if anyone else had ever had this.

Good looking dark red zed at crem in llanelli at about 12 o clock midday.

My (oem) boost gauge is playing up :mad: When I switch the car on the gauge goes up to one notch above 0. But when I start and drive the car the gauge doesn't move at all :confused:. Switch off and it returns to -14. The turbos seem to be working and boosting as normal. I had a local auto electrics firm remove my old alarm yesterday and the gauge was working fine when I took it to them. Could they have just knocked a wire or connector off? The car's going back to them tomorrow for investigation. Does it sound like a broken connection? I'm hoping so 'cos at the moment it's one thing after another :headvswal Cheers for any advice as usual. Dave

I have a 300 tt and it looks like the engine has a water leak into the cylinders. Also just noticed a clattering noise from the bottom front sounds like a starter motor in mesh, the tappets have suddenly gone noisy , so I was wondering what options are open. second point, the lack of good mechanics in the North to do work on the car. Any ideas most welcome. Cheers.

After the Zed was stolen yesterday and i had the news that the only reason the car was dumped was the wheel came off... I spoke to a few friends in the engineering industry and have got the same answer from all...... ***WARNING*** If you have had you car sitting for a period of time over this cold snap we have been having latlely check your wheel nuts... with the cold (down to -11) the wheel nuts will contract in size and when heat gets back into them as the temp rises they will return to nomal size and losen them selves off........ ***WARNING*** so if any fellow have had the zed sitting there for a week or so please please please check the wheel…

Hi all. Long story short i was looking for my radio fuse on the 300 the other day and i took the wooden panel off the floor of the poassenger side to reveal the ecu. i noticed that there is a big project M sticker on my ecu. Does this mean my 300zx has a modified ecu or that it has been chipped? or does it mean that i need it remapping to get extra power? Has anyone heard of this? il try and get a photo of the sticker. cheers, Steve

A few of you may know I've been building an engine to drop in my red car. Well, after a lot of hard work and long hours, it's finally done. Before: Manky engine bay and stock engine. Better view of manky engine bay :whistling: Engine built and ready to fit: New engine fitted and engine bay cleaned up. Thank god it's in! Now to run it in and have some fun :D

It's funny but I haven't owned a Z for about three years now (the 350Z doesn't count as on reflection it wasn't as nice hence sold a couple of months ago) and I still come on here to see what's for sale etc. I notice some BBS LM's up for grabs which makes me wonder if I should have GIVEN a set away last year ?!?! Any chance of a pic of them if they've been refurb'd Mark ? I also noticed that a front strut advertised on ebay has pictures of one in my old engine bay !!! That's when I REALLY wish I'd kept the car........... So I think I'm gonna have to buy one sooner rather than later before I go mad or my wife leaves me cos I'm constantly looking at Z's rath…

Just had my turbo timerr wired up and realised i cant arm my alarm until the car is switched off!!!!!! wtf ...........is there another way around this instead of removing either? Help much appreciated
