Hi all, I am a complete newbie as far as 300zx's go. However, there has just recently been one part ex'd at a garage my bro works at and I was after a bit more information on it / the cars in general. TBH the garage themselves do not know a lot about the car, and have said that it is a limited edition of 50 and has 400bhp? I have had a quick search but can not find any models that would match those details. Was there ever a limited run of 50 cars of any model? The details the garage has are: 92J Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo Slick Top Manual 400bhp 1 of 50 ever made 52000km Imported in 2005 and has had a cam belt and three services since then but nothing …

  4. Guys - I have a worn OEM steering wheel on my Zed. While it looks tatty and I have a replacement wheel with boss adaptor, I am loath to replace it anything other than the original wheel. Based on the pricing of an OEM wheel (which is horrendous - you'd buy a donor car cheaper) this won't happen. I feel that somethings just look better in stock, and the steering wheel to me is one obvious example (personal taste of course-so no offence intended). Now does anybody know, if there is any company/individual who can refurnish the outer ring/grip part of the steering wheel? Does such a service exist or has anybody got it done. If you have, any chance of some pics. …

After cleaning all the green gunge out from some electrical connections I have a tube of silicone grease and some spray white lithium. After reading the blurb on the spray lithium it provides excellent electrical resistance!? - surely this is not what you want. Anyone know how your meant to use this or the best way of sealing the connections - do I spray on grease/silicone - let it dry then put connection spades back on?or just clip everything back in then spray afterwards - (this will not touch the electrical connections tho as there is plastic bushings round. Thanks

now I know why my zed has been laid up for a year - I forgotten how stressful working on them are. Removing the drivers side dipped beam light and there is a metal spring that clips it in place. the catch it locks behind (part of the headlamp unit) snapped so now I cant fix my HID back in place!!! :( I have tried a *small* touch of silicone sealant around the edge of the fixing to see if that will hold it in place - I will now in 24 hours. Im just hoping sealant wont be a prob with temp of HID and that it holds - otherwise I guess its a new headlamp assembly and a bumper off job!!! :(

Whilst out driving around yesterday enjoying the sunshine, Suddenly see Atlast (sean) in his white zed, stop and have a chat, then a drive about. Nice to see two just cleaned and polished zeds, a black and a white one zooming around. What i liked to see was other road users and public looking at us, i think it has something to do with the sound of the zeds grumbling down the road. Looking good mate, will do a cuppa next week. I was recently sent to work on another power station and was quickly told about a 500bhp supra, owned by the guy i was going to be working for. He told me he was having alot of hassle from the police because of the noise from his exhausts so he had an Exhaust Control Valve fitted. I was just wondering if anyone had ever ventured into fitting a twin set-up into a zed? These are the fella's i was looking at. http://www.nengun.com/apexi/exhaust-control-valve
