the dipped lights on mine have a 2 pronged connector going to it. My local have just sold me some H7v as these are the only bulb with 2 prongs - However just seen on here I may need H3's instead Will the H7 fit or shall I take them back? If I get the H3 I presume I just leave on of the spades on the connector unplugged? Ta

all the running issues (im told) are related to the fact there are hundreds of little (and some large) holes in my exaust... the back box is apparently fine but as i dont know the underside of the zx i dont know what i need to get, iv been told ill need headers too as there both split, so how much will it cost and where from? stainless or not? im looking for credit crunch prices here!! lol! its a j reg z32 NA manual

I want to replace the battery in my Z for the correct one. I bought a random one from Halfords 3 years ago and it's been fine. But, I want the correct size so that I can refit the battery cover and battery clamps. 068 and 088 batteries seem to be the ones for the Z...but, what's the difference between the two? Wanting confirm that this sized battery will fit the Z battery cover. 255mm Long 173mm Wide 182mm Height Want to try and find a black battery. Most are like red, white or blue or something!

Before I can get my car MOT'd Id better get the lights working and I cant. I fitted some ROXIE Heart HID's a few years ago and one has failed - now trying to work out if was bulb, wiring or transformer - the other one has failed :( Just for the MOT i was gonna fit some std bulbs in and start from fresh - I have 2 H4 55/60W (3 prong) bulbs - Are these the right ones to refit? - Its just the original wiring has 2 spade connectors. When you put sidelights on my lower sidelights come on. When you switch to dipped the HID's should come on (Round side bulbs)? (even though at the moment the dipped main beam light intermittently comes on). When you switch …

I read on another post that some had removed their cone air filter and covered the maf a bit and the idle settles down. So i tried this last night, i covered half of the MAF with my hand, and it DOES settle down. If i cover the whole MAF it obviously stalls. One thing i did noticed too, is the when i cover half the MAF, the revs increase oh so very slightly. this could be mistaken for it settling down, because my car sounds fine above 1500 RPM. Why does restricting the air flow to the MAF settle the idle down, increase the revs slightly and stop it chugging?

Ok, so i did as suggested set the AVCR to OFF, expecting to get the cars natural boost.... Nope, i got 0.3 bar. NOT HAPPY So last night i went to the shop and thought sod it i'll have another fiddle with it. So i set the DUTY to 80%. It was on 70% in previous tests. Kaboom, real boost, went like sh*t of a stick. :duffer::duffer::duffer: So this begs the question, people say i should be running around 58% DUTY and im running 80%, what does this mean in technical terms?

My car is having missfiring issues which some of you would have read about recently and ive narrowed it down to cylinder number one not firing. (Running on 5 cylinders) Note:The connector on number one is the only broken connector. (still seats ok) All injectors are clicking All coilpacks are working All Coilpack connectors are working So i fiqured that it must be the spark plug, so i removed the plug and its covered in black powder (Overfueling) which says again that its not sparking But its only just dawned on me... Its dry... Does that matter? EDIT- CAR NO LONGER STARTS! Ive installed a new spark plug in cylinder one (same …

Hi all, Well , 7 months in to ownership and looks like iv'e hit my first proper issue with the Z ! Was on the way to get my tracking done after having 2 tyres and bushes replaced a week or so ago. i started the car from home (cold) and set off for the garage with no issues. (7,mls from home approx) When i was waiting at the lights just before the garage. - I noticed the temp gauge was slightly above the normal position and was sitting right in the middle instead, as i was about to turn in to the garage at this point I thought will pull up and have a proper look. By the time i was in the car park (matter of second's) the needle was noticably ri…

This is my first Zed. I've had it a couple of months now, but only just got it insured properly. I've not done anything to it yet, so (as you'll see) it's not perfect, but still looks pretty nice to me. I'm a big fan of the stock look (including the wheels, which I think makes me a bit unusual!) so it'll be staying pretty much as is. The only things will be a 99 spec spoiler and rear lights, and hopefully polished wheels (I count them all as stock).

Hi guys, my car idles fine until warmed up, but when fully warmed up it idles fast slow fast slow, and often stalls... Also, the stock boost gauge doesnt work, just twitches when I floor it, so i took the pipe off the sensor thingy, and blew some air down the pipe and the gauge shoots up, so it's working ok... The gauge works off pressure, but suction coming from the balance bar where it connects... ? Maybe there is no boost? I also stuck an airline on the balance bar in short bursts, to see if i could hear any leaks, and sounds like one turbo is spinning up, but not the other, strange? It runs fine when not on idle, so cant be a turbo issue, can it? They are newly r…

As of 2 weeks ago, I had a 300zx TT lwb auto imported, it's an auto and as mentioned in my first post, the gearbox went on it. Or is going.. haven't worked it out yet. Luckily my car is still under warranty from the importer and they told me that they would gladly pay to repair it for me, but I had to go to a unipart garage rather than nissan directly. (Any comments on this?) I rang around all the garages where I live, and they were all reluctant to carry out the work on the gearbox for me, they either said "no because it's an auto" or "it's too high-tech and big a job for them".. So my importer is going to take it away and get it fixed. I live in the No…
