I was driving down the A14 this morning and lost all power, I was blocking 1 lane and this is pretty scary on the A14, lorries were only noticing me at the last min...:eek: Anyway the AA came out, did what they could but could not find the fault. Rang Zedworld to get the car recovered there and to see about getting sorted this week, arrived to a very welcoming cup of coffee and jam and toast and they did a quick check and found that the mushroom filter had fallen to bits and blocked the MAF, after bit's of filter and plenty of water going through the MAF it was finished for. Hi please could anyone help me? I have a 1994 N/A and since I'v had it I only get 130 miles to a tank. It starts up fine and runs ok'ish' (fills a bit lumpy) What I'v done so far: -Changed the water temp sensor -Check emissions which were spot on. -Had a live reading with everything looking fine. -Check ECU for fault codes The only thing i can think that it might be is the air flow meter but not too sure how to check it.

started my car last nite left it running for 5mins or so ,as i pulled off my driveway and put the gear in to drive it felt like it was pulling off in 3rd so i stopped the car and left it a further 5mins to warm up abit more it then pulled of ok until i got to the first island. after pulling away at the island in 1st it wouldnt change up gears .got a further 500yards and i could feel the car holding back so i stopped again.had a look round the vehicle for leaks found nothing so i started off again but i couldnt move the car in any gear or neutral (great ,theres nothing like being stuck on the side of a busy road in the dark).anyway after waiting 20mins or so the autobox fr…

OK, I have a missfire on my engine at all revs including idle. Cyls 2 and 4 not running at all - see vid here http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=xwE1LD4XrO0 You can hear the difference in the exhaust bypass too. Diagnostics so far: Compression test - all cyls 16bar Removed sparkplugs from engine and grounded them. Turned engine over and all plugs sparking. Manually shorted ECU outputs to check each coil on correct output - OK Manually shorted ECU outputs to check each injector on correct output - OK Increased coil dwell time - no change. Ran new heavy gauge +ve/-ve lines directly from battery to coils. No change. Swapped coilpacks from 1/3 …

Well, I joined the winter write off list yesterday :(. Back end spun out on black ice while I was accelerating from 50 to 60 on the A47 at Swafham in Norfolk. Car n/s front hit the crash barrier then the n/s rear hit the barrier and to finish it off the car spun round again and hit almost head on in to the barrier, my seatbelt saved my life at this point!! Hi all, Im new to the site as you can all see and im currently on the look for a 300zx.. Im only 22 so i can only afford insurance on a non turbo 300zx, so i was wondering which of the non turbo zeds came with the limited slip diff?:duffer:

I lent my 90 J Auto N/A Z (I bought it from Uno a few months ago) to my partner's son. He'd actually driven it lots of times, but lost it coming out of a R/B and hit some bollards! Any good wisdom on what's best to do with it: Break it? Sell complete as scrap? Any other option? Too broken to fix I think! 114,000 kms, Engine still runs fine and it moves but power steering gone. As a stock ride, it felt very tight and comfortable, Hugely sad for a great piece engineering! Fortunately I still have a TT manual which he's not going to drive! .

Where is the best place to order exhaust manifold gaskets manifold to head not turbo, best as will stock them, rang a few places but no luck on any one getting back to me, may have to be Mr Nissan

I have had thoughts lately about selling my zed, it has no issues and it is the car I have always wanted, its immaculate and has had a fortune spent engine wise, I was just thinking that I could probably do with something more usable as the zed is my everyday car, I still want power but something more practicle, I was thinking about the audi s4 4.2 quattro v8 or the bmw m5, I know it wouldnt compare to the zeds looks but it would be a better everyday car dont you think? WHAT DO I DO? PS. THIS MAY JUST BE A PHASE IM GOING THROUGH

is it possible to get a z31 digi dash to fit in a z32 ?

Good evening, I had an issue on Friday when one of the pipes off the balance bar split and was to brittle to repair. Managed to replace the pipe and now have a power issue. When I apply 1/4 to 3/4 throttle it seems as if somthing is starving or a negative effect and the car starts hezitating and feels just like when you are running out of fuel. Any ideas? ;)

well thats me about done i think, been trying to fix my F***ing headlights for about 3 months now, just spent all morning outside trying everything i can think of, and now im sick to the back teeth of it, the sad thing is, im sure its something silly, but theres no bloody space to get to anything in that engine bay, and i aint giving to an electrician to tell me its a bad earth and charge me £200! so i think im just gonna get rid of the dam thing and let it be someone elses problem! sorry guys, but getting it of my chest is helping! :headvswal

Right had this for a while its no bother but when the car is frozen (Got a cover over it) and its super cold for the 1st few miles my speedo doesnt work at all (Sits at 0) then will start bouncing to the speed im at and 0 and back then will be solid on my speed and work perfectly! Only happens on the coldest mornings just wondering if this hapens to anybody else! Im not fussed as its still accurate and works just thought id see :) Munny
