I think Apache has done this mod to his Z. It's been a good many years since I had a car that had interior lights that went off as soon as the door was closed. How hard is it to retro fit a time delay relay or whatever they are to a Z? Easy job or a PITA? I'd like it linked to the ignition barrel as I'd like to have that illuminated too.

Hey chappies, as some of you may remember, I have not been able to get my stock boost gauge working, it sits at the bottom all the time, and doesn't jump to the middle when ya turn the ignition on, and until managed to replace my code 34 with a 55 (woohoo) it wasn't doing anything.... Now, it seems to measure boost fine, but not vacuum, it sits at the bottom and shoots up fine when there is boost. The dial face on it is a Mines one, but starts at 0.4 Kg/CM2 and goes up to 1.4 and does not have negative boost/vacuum on it. Has anyone seen this before? Like I said, as a boost gauge it works perfectly, strange?

Hey hey, I'm happy! I managed to get rid of that damn code 34 and now have tons of boost, power and an oh so sweet whistle when I plant my right foot, it's only taken me about a month to solve... I relocated a new dett. sensor, still 34, tried a 1 meg resistor, still 34... Oh, I bet anyone famililar with my problem is itching to know how I fixed it, well, I ain't gonna tell ya, it's far too embarrasing :x: :x: :x:

Right! Petrol cap flap thingy? Does it use a cable when you press on lever to flip it open? If it does how do I adjust it? mine takes ages to get it open and I need to rest something heavy on lever and flip it open by hand. :)

I was driving down the A14 this morning and lost all power, I was blocking 1 lane and this is pretty scary on the A14, lorries were only noticing me at the last min... Anyway the AA came out, did what they could but could not find the fault. Rang Zedworld to get the car recovered there and to see about getting sorted this week, arrived to a very welcoming cup of coffee and jam and toast and they did a quick check and found that the mushroom filter had fallen to bits and blocked the MAF, after bit's of filter and plenty of water going through the MAF it was finished for. Anyway new MAF fitted and temporary filter fitted an ECU check and also a trim that…

Hi please could anyone help me? I have a 1994 N/A and since I'v had it I only get 130 miles to a tank. It starts up fine and runs ok'ish' (fills a bit lumpy) What I'v done so far: -Changed the water temp sensor -Check emissions which were spot on. -Had a live reading with everything looking fine. -Check ECU for fault codes The only thing i can think that it might be is the air flow meter but not too sure how to check it.

Hi everyone, it has been a long time since i have been on here as some of you may know i had my pride and joy smashed into last july and have been battling with the insurance since. well they finally capitulated and paid me and amount(not as much as it should have but thats a whole other story) Long and the short of it is my car is unfortunately for me beyond economical repair. Hence this post, I cant post in the for sale section as my membership has lapsed but as i have been a member for a while i wondered if the Mods could give me a little license and allow this post, and i throw myself on the mercy of the moderators on this one and hope its ok, p…

Well, I joined the winter write off list yesterday :(. Back end spun out on black ice while I was accelerating from 50 to 60 on the A47 at Swafham in Norfolk. Car n/s front hit the crash barrier then the n/s rear hit the barrier and to finish it off the car spun round again and hit almost head on in to the barrier, my seatbelt saved my life at this point!! I was heading for wipe out on either the steering wheel or windscreen before it stopped me, the policeman said that I wouldn't be talking to him if I hadn't been wearing it . The car finally rolled backwards, leaving me facing the on coming traffic in the middle of the road about 40yards or so from the initial …
