I hoped to be able to afford a set of lightweight recaro seats for my zed, but I think I might have to sell my seats first to pay for them. How much do they go for? both electric (passenger and driver) in black leather - excellent condition. I did have the drivers bolster proffesionally repaired and you can't tell except for not having a pocket on the back of the drivers seat (they took the leather for the repair from the rear panel so the leather matched). Not a for sale thread... just seeing if I will get enough money to make it worth selling them to raise money for the new seats.

Hiyas, took the Zed for another test drive today, but finding the auto box rather strange. I got receipts with the car for a recon box only a few months before I bought it BTW... It seems to change when it wants, or not at all, I can be in 2nd, or 3rd, and it will rev it's knackers off and not change, sometimes feels like the clutch is slipping (although it doesn't have one :-) I've tried everything with the throttle, ie. being gentle, being harsh, backing off etc. but still wont change, and also, the kick down doesn't always kick down, just revs in the same gear, and doesn't go much faster! The fluid level is sound, but, the speed sensor has been playing up, …

ok so most people remember there first car and all the stupid things you did to it - along the lines of 'neons', 'spinner binlids', 'light lids' massive jap spoliers on fiestas and the good old 'tights on the lights' :xxx: - so me and a fellow JDM'r were slightly pissed at a badly timed BBQ and a bit bored n having a good old reminis about all the stupid embarrasing things that we did bak in th'day....when i had the amaizing idea to 'tight my lights'!! he then joind me and began removing his own lights on his supra......so 1 drunken hour later iv snapped off the strip that goes accross top of my lights gotten bored and given up - my mates supra has no lights atal...…

Is there a working link for this, I've done a search but the links don't work. Gonna try cleaning them up, thought they had already been done by the previous owner. But can't see a mention of it. Hopefully It will sort my lights out

Thought it may be interesting to see some photo's of real faults & damage that can occur to your zed rather than hypothetical conversations, also may be fun to have a guessing game, take a look at the following photo's, and see if you can guess what went wrong. Have loads of these and hopefully will of interest for members to see what really transpires when these varied faults occur. The background to this particular fault is as follows, a rebuilt engine from a small company with in house engineering cnc machining, heads and turbo rebuilding facility. Car was collected from said builder and around 60 miles later the following was discovered after an en…

Hey all I have been hacking up and down the A24 trying to set up the suspension and I have a really odd problem. When I brake and squeeze the pedal it starts to slow down and brakes in a straight line, I gradually increase the pressure and it brakes harder, then I hit a certain amount of pedal pressure and the car pulls very suddenly and slightly to the left then if I come off the pedal slightly it pulls back to the right. I can repeat this over and over. Now when I had the car rebuilt I had the front bushes replaced with poly bushes, I have adjustable tension rods etc etc. Can anyone guess what might be causing the problem. It feels like something is …

Just thought I'd post this ;) As I was outside today washing the Rover, I thought it was a good chance to strike Eliza up and see how she is. But considering that I haven't struck her up since at least October I wasn't holding much hope out for the battery. Well once I'd tightened the battery connection (a bit loose the first try) Eliza struck up without any problems what-so-ever! I'd checked coolant and oil levels first (just in case) and found no leaks anywhere. Once she was running I got the electric 'foot pump' out and inflated both rear tyres, as soon as that was complete it was time to move her around the car park so as to remove the rust on the brake discs…

hey guys, i know this question has been asked a million times before, but i can't seem to find any answers to my problem. I did an ecu error check and it came back with the faulty coolant sensor code (13 i think!). i've tried cleaning the connectors and terminals but doesn't seem to have made any difference. would this cause idling issues? when i start the car from cold, it idles at just shy of 1500rpm then after a while of driving goes down to just below 1000rpm. if i stop the car for a couple of minutes then start it back up, it can idle anywhere between 1500-2000rpm! it'll sit like that for a good while before it eventually settles back down to somewhere near the 1000r…

I will hopfully be looking into some new parts for the z soon: -Driftworks Hicas Eliminator Kit with hicas blocked off -Spring and dampers -Adjustable front tension rods -New Front and rear discs, pads and hoses (Standard size EBC?) -New tyres all round But i need some advice on the springs and dampers part, What other bits do i need to go abit lower?, 30mm is ok for me, doesnt need to be adjustable. And would Stiffer anti-roll bars be a major difference over standard? Im on a budget so i dont need to know about the over the top mods
