In addition to fitting my oil pressure gauge, I'm also trying to fit a water temp one. The sensor for this gauge is also 1/8 NPT, which definitely won't fit in the stock location. I'm thinking about drilling and tapping a 1/8NPT thread into a suitable location on my top water pipe to fit the sensor (when I can find the right bloody tap...). Will this work, or will I not get a good seal without getting a boss welded on first?

Argh! I'm about to fit an Option oil pressure gauge but I can't find any definitive answers on whether the sender that comes with it will fit in the stock location. I've done a search and found Jimmy's post, but I don't know if he was trying to use the stock location or not - were ya Jimmy? My existing stock sender is about knackered, so I don't mind getting rid of it and just using my new gauge, but I want to make sure it'll go in or I can get the right bits ordered before I have my brand new oil coating my drive... The sender it comes with has a 1/8 NPT thread - will this go in or will I need an adapter? I tried the site suggested by Z32 (gaugeplace.co.u…

Yes its happened. As you can imagine I am rather pissed off. Monday afternoon my mate saw a silver BMW reversing up the access road to the back of our houses (no through road) with 2 eastern euopeans in it he confronted them and asked what they wanted. They replied "we want to buy a car from here" He told them that there were no cars for sale and they went. At 23.15 I left for work and as I passed my mates Soarer I noticed that the passenger door had been forced open at the handle and it was ajar. I knocked he's door and we discovered that the car had been broken into. I promptly went back around the rear of the houses to inspect my cars. The skyline and others we…

Hi Guys and Gals, As the title says .........I fitted my new Koyo radiator bracket (from the Z Centre) tonight. A couple of issues that I'm sure you'll help me with : Firstly - using a standard bonnet prop clip in the slot furthest away from the rad cap secures the bonnet stay but not too well and the bonnet prop rests on the radiator cap ........any advice? Secondly - I still have the original viscous fan, cowl, etc... and had to detach the fan cowl from the radiator lip in order to get the bracket to fit correctly. Is that ok in these circumstances? All being well, I should have attached before and after photos. Thanks in advance - And…

Reason i ask is i bought my zed with a koyo rad, kenlowe fan controller and standard rad hoses already fitted....soon after the kenlowe gave up and was leaking coolant because of the copper probe wedged down the rad hose, so i removed the probe, tightened up the hose and had the fan wired to stay on full time (temporary fix).Anyway just bought some aftermarket radiator hard pipes and was previously thinking of fitting a sandwhich plate fan controller in the top hose but this is not possible now because of the metal pipes......so i was wondering what types of fan control you guys have got and where do you take a coolant temp reading from as ive got a gauge wired from the to…

hi guys. when i picked up my z i noticed that the clutch pedal was very soft and saggy and the bitting point was only about 5mm off the floor. i tried bleeding the clutch by releasing the nut on the cylinder on the wing near the headlamp, pumping the pedal, tighten the nut up, then did the the same on the cylinder underneath the car. it got a little bit better but as i was pressed for time i only managed to do it once so i dont think i managed to get all the air out of the system. now this is where it gets weird!!! i've just topped up my power steering fluid as my hicas light kept coming on first thing in the morning when the car was cold. Since i've done this, the clutch…

I know this car is pretty dam ugly, but even if you were to break it at the price it was sold for I'm sure you;d get a fair bit more than you paid for it. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=180320576748 Reading the auction itself, something tells me he has wet deams about skylines :)

  25. having just read the latest on my headlight thread, this new issue has come up about running off one relay, is there a good chance it could burn out? and how about putting an in-line fuse on that wire you fitted, would that be an idea?
