This is for the info of the next one to write their zed off(there seems to be a few of us this year) Ive just been paid £3850 for mine. But they want £900 to buy the salvage back so they can take it away for me (might get a few goodies from under the bonnet before she goes Ha Ha).

I need to get my 300zx transported next friday. It is not running and has no road tax. It's also a widearch. Just wondering what people have used in the past to transport there car? I was hoping to see if I could get the RAC to do it. Being widearch i wondered if you can get one of these on a trailer ok? Are recovery companys expensive? Its going from Basildon to Harlow. Any ideas? Thanks, Ant

Just after helped my brothers girlfriend move into her new flat using the 300zx.lol. Its my only mode of transport so thats what i used, and i was very surprised at the amount of stuff that the zed could take. Have any of you guys had alot of stuff in it? Also started thinking about the 350z, theres a new one in my area, a 350z nismo, looks really nice.

Ok i finally hooked up my conZult program to my car to test the A/T for error codes and this is what came up http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k276/DJ_Party_Favor/ATErrorCode.jpg Now i have just replaced my TPS unit with a brand new one so im guessing their might be a short somewhere in the harness. i set the new TPS to .45 a few days ago without conzult but used a multimeter to set it to .45 volts and today conzult is coming up as .46 in engine mode section but on the A/T mode it says .50 is this normal??? All cylinders came up green. and no error codes in the ECU. So what do you guys think?

I've been looking for an old-skool steering wheel for my Z. Namely the Momo Daytona, but also by another manufacturer called Italvolanti. I missed out by £1 on an Italvolanti 'Line' steering wheel that recently went out on ebay. Just wondering, does anyone know where I can buy brand new versions of these? The feeling is that I have is that Italvolanti don't exist anymore. Basically, it's the leather version of the top wheel.... Here's another pic....

Since i bought the car about a year ago the drivers side window has always leaked when subject to heavy rainfall/hosepipe. The seals look fine to me, and when i push the window in slightly there is no leakage, so can you adjust the window to rise at a slightly diffrent angle so it pushes agains the seals better and if so how?? ps nowhere else on the car leaks and water only leaks through at a certain point on the window, ive attached a pic cheers

Since writing off my zed a couple of weeks back in a 50mph spin into crash barriers, i'm a little bit nervous of getting another one :(. I don't want to spend all that money and time only to crash it again! I'd of been fine with it if I had overcooked the throttle and lost control, but I didn't the car just spun out while on mild throttle (and black ice!!). So, I was looking at the Racelogic Traction control systems. Do these make the zed a bit easier to live with? And are they as good as they say they are? I'm not thinking that this would have stopped me crashing but at the moment I wouldn't feel safe driving one unless it's completely dry. All opinions welc…

Anyone have a picture of how these are connected on the UK cars? I'm wondering if the wiring is there but just not connected up on japanese ones? Going to use the original fog switch for my rear fog now I've binned the front ones.

With the recent cold weather I went out to open my Zed turned the key, heard a click and something fall to the inside of the door and now can do a fill 360 with the key in the lock.... it is super safe though as I can't get into the fkr now :-) Question: Where can I get a new lock, or get this one repaired? and what is the likely damage? I'm in South Wales. Old cars....don't you just love the excitment of not knowing what's going to go wrong next....:rofl:
