Got the car running alot smoother! The problem was the ecu, it was only running on 5 cylinders and datascan / consult couldnt pick it up. Put the other ecu in (which paul gave me very kindly) and its running perfect now! Also the timing is now fixed :D Thanks alot bud

Can anyone show me what this looks like (UK bumper headlamp washers fitted) ? I've been looking for it online to see what it looks like but cant find anything bout it. Also would like to know if anyone here as serviced the car in nissan before and arround how much it is to service it in nissan? Is it really worth it?

Has anybody heard a sharp buzzing sound when the lights are on. Turn the lights off and the sound goes. Very strange. I tried to pinpoint where exactly it was coming from, but failed. I believe its coming from the front left hand side of the engine (as you would look at it from the front) near the PTU location. Thats a guess though. Any ideas?

as some of you might know i'm in the proccess of fitting an N/A rear to the old girl. the problem i had was my prop shaft. its a one piece ally TT shaft so i didnt want to get ride of it for an N/A shaft, reason being money's tight and didnt fancy shelling out for another prop so, this is how i over came the problem...... one ally spacer, machined from a solid lump costing £20, 5 hack saw blades and 2 days in the work shop on a lathe and pillar drill. the thin ring spacer is original which came with the prop. the two are then bolted together..... it is then bolted to the diff flange to bring the distance out to the same spec…

Hi, Time to put my headlights back together and just wondered what you have used to seal the unit back up? Can the original mastic be bought from anywhere as I quite like the idea of opening them back up if need be. Cheers Vijay

Cant believe i cant drive my beast, decided to let my dad take me out in it just so that the car is still getting used, I took the roofs off as it was a nice day, he was like a kid with a new toy lol, once warmed up i told him to just plant his foot to the floor, we were in 3rd at the time, OMFG, felt like we were going to take off, feels mental in the passenger side, my dad is used to his 1.6 cavalier, he told me he was scared of it and it diddnt feel right driving it. Its only running 14psi at the momment, cant wait for the ebc to be fitted and the boost to be raised to 19psi, its going to be rapid, Jeff at zedworld will also be giving it a good going over, cant wait.

evening all,just a couple of questions of a tech nature i am going to be doing an oil change on the motor,is there any differance between a j-spec oil filter and a uk one? also was planning to use a genuine nissan item but my local dealership aint to interested in my motor cos its an import any ideas? also want to change the fuel filter & spark plugs whats the best make ?

I'm in the process of breaking my zed and found this black box under the centre console next to the handbrake. I can't find any ref to it in the service manuals. Does anybody know what it is? I don't want to just rip it out until I know what it does. The blue arrow points to where the braided cable is going. Since I've never stripped a car and i'm not a mechanic, there will no doubt be loads of these threads coming soon! :wack: Cheers as always :D Dave

3:10pm today saw a grey G reg zed travelling over the red hill flyover, leicester towards Melton Road.

does anyone know what the light-up 300zx rear centre panel inverters power is.was told 12vdc-110vac. got new one in america but doesnt work.has power but wont light up.original el panel.....also finding it hard to source inverters-help me-im going nuts!!!:mad:

This is a real job done recently by,( unamed Z garage ) take a guess at what it would cost for the entire job, guess how long the egr removal was booked as too. No random figures, work it out, what would need removing what would overlap between jobs etc. and see what you think, oh and why it will not rev properly. Fit 24 x USED hydrolic lifters ( previous ones very noisy ) Remove / by pass EGR valve 60k service Work done with full payment up front, NO receipt given and running worse than when it went in. How much labour and parts can £7k buy you these days? Huge turbo`s bigger intercoolers, Stand alone custom ecu, 750 injectors, decat stainless exhausts, rolling road set up. Hi guys just wondering if anyone knows where the paint code is on a '91 tt import. All the stickers are in jap so i'm not sure which is which. Its a silver car which i am 90% sure is original colour. Cheers batesy

Can anyone recommend the best oil to use in my uk tt?

Guy.... I bought a twin chip ECU about a year ago from a member on here it's got a JWT chip and a C2O chip........ it's been sitting in my garage and with the car off the road thought i'd take the time to fit it.... So today i went and lifted the board and took out the ECU, to my surprise the ECU i have removed has IMPUL all over it... Now i fitted the JWT chip and it all starts fine.... sounded alot beefier as well, but...well i am unsure as to which is best for the car..... it's pretty standard apart from A zorst some boost jets and an induction kit... as far as i'm aware there are not engine mod's..... And whats the other ECU worth? as it'll b…

Quite a while ago I produced and posted a Fog Lamp FAQ in the FAQ section. Does anyone know where it's gone? Any links that I have posted no longer go anywhere. Does anyone know if it's been removed for a specific reason? If so why? I was under the impression that it was usefull to the members on here :confused: Dave
