This might sound completely amateur but to change the clutch, is it just a case of unbolting the prop and dropping out the gearbox?

Anyone know anything about these alarms? Got a problem with mine at the mo but I won't bore you with the details unless someone might be able to help. Have tried their tech support, but they're useless so far... To give you a brief idea - no chirp, LED always on, battery was very flat until recently...

I am having a engine rebuild and have taken loads of pics. I thought I would start a thread and share my pics and progress through this. All the work is getting done at Custom exotics, but though It would start stripping what I could off the engine at home in the garage. I have never done this before so It felt a bit daunting, but after a while I was enjoying It and was pleased I started stripping it myself ( felt I was learning more about my engine by doing this) I have managed to remove the drive belts, radiator, AC radiator, PS pump, AC compressor, alternator. Suddenly my car has started to make 6 pings (like I had left the lights on) whenever I turn on the ignition. I assume it is trying to tel me something but cannot find out what. Any ideas ? I have checked and there are no lights on and the only thing I did on the car this weekend was to replace the interia light bulb.

A lot of owners have issue with the speedo, power steering, auto box change etc. All of these are related in as far as they are part of the speed sensor circuit, having seen many owners pondering on if the speed sensor is at fault then take a look at the picture below. The speed sensor is rare in as far as it can be seen to be faulty by just looking at it provided of course you know what to look for. The photo actually shows autobox sensors but the manual box sensor has the same issues. The unit is a small pulse generator, as the cog is turned by the gearbox the stator is turned within the field windings which produces a small ac voltage of around 1 to 5…

In the process of scrapping my zed and I was wondering if anyone knows what chip this is in my ECU? I was told by the previous owner that it had a JWT chip installed. All I can say is that the car's boost gauge (stock 14 psi) went off the scale when giving it the beans :wack: and the chip is definitely in a socket :) Also, what does the variable resistor (second photo) do? Hi I recently had some work performed on my car where my doors were removed, after reinstalling the doors I now have no Aircon,wipers,washer,glove compartment light,nor electric mirrors. I have looked at the wiring diagrams on the net and traced it back to what seems like the main harness, possibly the body grounds on both sides. I havent removed the door covers yet to check but it seems as though this is a common dinominator. Does anyone know where the wires are supposed to connect???? the picture is not clear enough. I have checked the fuses under the bonnet and the fuses inside the front compartment, all are fine. Any other ideas ?? The repairer claims not to hav…

I live on bolton road, and opposite the chippy used to live a black TT, with 18/19's on, that's about all i know, as i didn't own a zed then :-) Just curious if ya on here, as I lived almost next door to it for a while, and was an inspiration to buy one myself! And then it dissapeared....

Does the sticker on my ecu, mean anything other than it might have once been faulty? it reads Genuine nissan remanufactured ECU Ive done a search but didnt come up with anything usefull

Hi! This morning cleaning the engine I have viewed that I have a conector disconected... I don´t have time to search in the manual...but...anybody knows what is the job of this conector?? Started the zed up today for the 1st time since Oct. After being sat outside since the end of sept thought it was time to give it a go. I was surprised at only a few turns there she was purrin away. gotta get her mot'ed now an cant wait for the end of march to drive her again.

Hi all, I finally have my Zed back after a year and a half. Phil from Blackmoor Service Station (formely CS Woods) has done a very good job. Im about ready to rip my hair out with my alarm.:rant: got everything fitted and working all except the remote start. It was a cheapo ebay remote start jobbie, which i've fitted loads for myself and friends etc in the past. It's not one of the older ones where you have to wrap a wire round an ht lead so it detects if the car is running. this one works of the oil pressure warning light.... no problem.... except the z doesn't have one!! :confused:The instructions were a little bit dodgy (crap translation from chinese to english i assume!), but everything is wired up as specified... apart from the oil light detector. it says to wire it up to the oil warning light(+). so by t…

Either I had a reaaly vivid dream many years ago or I remember a Top Gear episode where they reviewed some super cars I think a 911 was involved and then at the end of it said ... or you can buy one of these... And a bloke drove a T top 300 in Grey or Silvery blue across a track and they spoke of how his car was pushing 400hp etc etc. Does anyone else remember this? Does anyone have a link to the vid?
