Hi there can anyone help? im new to the zx world having just bought my first one last month. its a 94 TT uk model. it has just started playing up in the last 2 days but its only a tempremental problem for now! basicly its not shifting up properly through all the gears unless ur carrying speed and basicly take ur foot off the throtle completly. the gear changes are also quite jerky. i also notice that only when cold reverse gear will wrk for a couple of seconds the seem to lose drive, not completly but u have to pick the revs right up to get it to move. the box has been reconditiond but this was a couple of yrs bk but i have recept for £1200 for this. just before the probl…

  3. I've been thinking about getting a larger radiator with a lower operating nismo thermostat for a while.. any of you guys done this and is there any problems in doing this?? Also I have a Import Auto, so I have heard I will need to get an auto oil cooler if i change my rad.. why is this?.. how does the normal radiator affect the auto oil cooler?.. and I have also heard that the jap import has a smaller oil cooler than the english one? why is this? finally, is the fan on the ZX a Viscous which works constantly on the radiator, because if I was to get a newer radiator, i.e. a Koyo.. I am not sure if I would be able to keep the stock front fan in place, and might have …

My Z is an Auto and when I pull away in drive for a split second it makes a noise like a similar noise to what a binding brake disc would make.. like a scraping grinding, it isn't a bad noise but annoying all the same, it isn't affecting the car.. yet.. but when it goes into 2nd the noise goes. I put it into 1st gear to find out for sure it was the 1st gear on the auto box which is making the noise and it deffinately is.. Could someone please give me some advise as to what this noise could be, many thanks!

Got my Z back from Darren at D2 yesterday after having an engine swap (due to valve damage) and a manual conversion. And what a fantastic job he's done... must say any doubts i had about ditching the autobox were soon lost during the drive home :nana2: Such a massive difference... im very chuffed with the Z now... and to show my appreciation iv started making her a treat: 50sq foot of leather off ebay for 80 quid and a 3 pack of high temp leather upholstery spray glue for 15... Naturally il be getting the seats done professionally Rich

All round good sale :hyper: Had a phone call about an hour ago, on his way home to leeds the water temp rose and steam appeared! Sounds like the heater pipes as it sounds like its from the back of the engine. Typical eh? :headvswal How bad does this look? :wack:

I had a set of wheels that used to be on my zed cluttering up the place so got them out to clean em and whack em on ebay. When my dad saw em tho he asked what i'd get for em and said he'd like em instead! So today i took his stock purple (yes i did say purple lol) wheels off and fitted these for him instead. I've gotta say WOW what a difference! I think they look good on a silver car anyway but the change from the purple ones is incredible!!! BEFORE AFTER

bought it cheap off of ebay as i needed the manual box for my conversion and it has a few other bits that i will be nicking off of it:tongue: may well be breaking it over a period of time so notify if you would like anything. it has recaro buckets in the front and ask about any other parts and i will tell you iff it has them. wheels and gearbox are taken. it took me 7 hours of driving today to get it home:(

Found some coil-overs, they were listed as Tein monoflex. when I asked what they came with this is what was said A: Its not the new kit, it was second hand, it doesnt come with the pillow ball upper mounts, these are the lower end of the scale coilovers. they are complete except for the c spanners, however i have ordered a set, and when they arrive will be forwarded to the winning bidder. Anyone know which ones they are as they, as they aint the ones I thought they were. I thought they were the top line ones:(

since iv had the car the gear changes have been awful clunky sometimes it just wont go in and never easy occasionally it was ok like when changing really slowly but sometimes even then its clunks in, the worst is when your gunning it through the gears it will horrendously crunch thru 3rd and 4th, its done 85k km and 10k miles - also the clutch ALWAYS smells when it comes to a stop i thought id fixed it when i adjusted the clutch pedal and it kinda felt a bit better les clunky however i think iv just been lying to myself lol! what should i do? buy a new box? buy a new clutch? change the box oil? is this a common fault? cant find anything on this problem

b****r! well my clutch problem are slowly getting worse. it started with a very saggy clutch pedal, which, after numerous attempts to bleed it have only slightly improved the clutch feel but not cured the problem. the other week, it started slipping in fifth gear, then 4th gear, and on my way home from work last night it has now started to slip in third gear. This couldn't have happened at a worse time as im nearly skint and need my car for transport 2 and from work (32 mile round trip). i've seen all the hype about the cheap "exedy" clutches on fleabay, but are they really that bad? my car is almost totally standard apart from a stainless exhaust, airfilter and AFC thing…

I am making progress with the single turbo conversion and I am just getting a 50mm external wastegate, i don't know what spring rating to get. I have an option of several and will also run an electronic boost controller with it. Any ideas on which ones to go for? Also what is the maximum boost pressure I go up to safely with this spec engine Full rebuild by jimmer with Wiseco's Cometic H/G 740cc injectors T70 turbo

:headvswalI have a problem where the Air con, power mirrors, wipers, cig lighter etc have no power. I have checked all fuses and have found there to be no power entering the above fuses inside the drivers compartment. Where does this power come from and how can I find its source??? Preferably without having to rip everything out to do so. If I apply a positive lead to the wipers fuse (from the front)the wipers work. I assume the same will ocur for the rest.
